Do you know the "door" trick where you use a regular door set on one edge or the other of a stone piece and then you can set a wood piece perfectly (large gate or doors for instance) in the center of the stone piece? It works for a lot of building where a natural snap point does not exist.

You're going a bit overboard with the farming . . . you have hundreds of flax and barley in stock. Just leave the crop growing until you start to actually run low and then harvest! . . . I think you are also preparing a mushroom farm for 120 vikings! 😉

Little tip for when you’re desperately searching for a few more wood, you can smash the vines growing on structures, there’ll usually give 1 or 2 per vine section. Other little tip in terms of game mechanics, after a certain point, hens won’t lay more eggs if you have too many within a given space, one to watch in terms of maintaining an optimal number in one place. Catch in you a couple of weeks! 👍👍

I believe you do not need a workbecnh to put down wisp torches, which is handy. Also; the game was tweaked so that enemies will generally leave the wisp torches alone. They do not prevent spawns.

Frostner doesn't stagger well because frost damage doesn't count towards filling their stagger meter. You basically get the frost slow effect instead.

I know it is possible to get the cart through a single metal gate (I have one installed as a door in my forge and it definitely works, so confirmed). I guess you can probably do it through the common single wood gate too, and certainly you can do that through a double wooden gate. Which means that your argument of not being able to pull the cart in without the huge backyard iron gate is not exactly valid indeed. Besides, you have another gate on the path coming directly from the docks, and you can always use that to transport the ore to the forge straight through your base along the shortest path. If you do not overload the cart, you can pull it up the stone stairs quite easily. Basically around 1800-2000 kg is the margin you can pull up the stairs without any special tricks. That being said I really do not care how big your backyard gate is, have it as you like ofc. It's just that you actually do not need it to be that big for practical reasons.

- Yeah, that sequence of events ought to be statistically impossible.. First Boss spawn, then a shocking amount of cores. I have seen larger mines but never one with more than five or so cores in them. The Allfather smiles upon you! - Quality of life improvemnets (these are not needed with your skill level but nice to have the options): The spinning attack of the Atgeir is good for both dislodging and dispatching ticks. The sledge is good too. The infested mines are the spots where those ooze bombs may come in handy for softening up and/or killing the littler foes that await behind barriers. Like in that instance when you tried to shoot the head of the seeker soldier clipping through the barrier. Just chuck a few bombs or use the sledge (that last option though will take down the barrier after a few swings).

This is unreal.. -Tip time: Try to use Oose bombs or bile bombs in the infested mines, very useful for multiple enemies. Also a weapon with AoE damage is very good. You can do damage even behind close doors or walls -Great episode.

Unlike going into the Plains where you get a bunch of new crafting/manufacturing stations, you get a weak floodlight and a "good on ya," and off you go into the Mist. ☹

1:00:17 So I can't bite my tongue any longer, and don't mean to be a back seat viking. But...don't wait till your food timers tick down. Once your food starts flashing its "half digested" and you can then eat. From flashing on the food starts to degrade considerably in it's buffs. There is a formula here, but suffice to say you are severely limiting your survivability. You can see that after you ate you went from 108 health to over 170. The bugs in ML, even when fully geared and best food, can take you down to zero health in a few hits and no stam usually = death. I know you are trying to conserve resources but you don't appear to have a resource problem and you are at the current endgame zone so don't skimp on food. Just a friendly suggestion, take it or leave it.

Chicken eggs do not need to be very close to the fire, and the stone slabs do not transfer the heat. If I remember correctly, the active radius of the fire is 10 m (five 2m floor pieces). There are two conditions that must be met to hatch the eggs. You've got only one of them (fire) in that corner of the enclosure. And, yes, can confirm what Trengilly says that most players die a lot, that's nothing to worry about. And that was a 1* seeker too - a creature one should respect at least a bit - which you did not. Anyway, that was an insane infected mine with incredible quantities of stuff - both creatures and loot. 14 dark cores! I've had some mines without any cores, and then many with a single core or may be a couple. Once I got 10, but that was one such inf. mine out of many. In my last world I just gave up any hope to get even 5 after 6 mines that gave me altogether 19 sealbreaker fragments but... only 3 dark cores. You were insanely lucky in this episode.

Chicken Farm Hint: You purchased an item from Hildir that is great for chicken coups. There are also other sources of warmth that wont ignite your chickens :)

The Arbalest is a really interesting weapon. It has a number of unique roles, I think they did a great job designing it. 1) Its great for players who haven't developed their bow skills . . . and suddenly discover they need to be able to kill flying monsters! It doesn't take any particular skill (player or character!) to use effectively. 2) Works well as an alpha strike weapon for melee builds that don't focus on ranged combat much. 3) Excellent as a supplemental weapon in <redacted> builds due to the zero stamina usage. But for a regular ranged build, if your bow skills are good (and Blondie's are!) than I find bows better for general use.

The really foul smell from the swamp comes AFTER Bonemass is down, previous to Bonemass it is the Draugr and Skelly foul smell from the swamp; because the devs don't want to give you a freebie stonecutter too soon (drop chance from oozers) and because livestock are less likely to be protected against a poison AOE. Devious devs!

Mobs won't "see" through grates and such, but they will sense other things through the walls depending on proximity.

35:25 Big skulls are rare...mine them as soon as possible. The upper cut on Frosnter is very useful on different levels of attack. The number of cores you got is awesome!

Quality of Life Tip (2): I like to aim my throwing point by blocking and using that to give direction. I used the iron found in the mistlands to build a stone cutter and break down the marble buildings for fast resources

Never seen the dizzy-go-round method work like that before, I wonder if you were just in the right spot for it all or if the devs changed Yag's behavior a little based on difficulty; or was he just dizzy!? There is a third attack but you kept him at arms length all the time and didn't see it. Yag is probably my favorite boss fight to melee but to each their own eh. I never fully understood the "they come at night mostly...mostly" admission before either; I do now, it's a clue!

Blondie, forget Valheim, given your luck, just buy a single lotto ticket and retire once you’ve won the jackpot! 😂😂😂. Finding the Queen location as your first structure….! And that dungeon was insane dude, seriously! In terms of events we’re not going to speak of, even when you’re doing everything right you can get tagged through no real fault of your own, and the game, mistlands specifically, can be very unforgiving if you’re not playing with due caution. Great fun to watch, looking forward to the next 👍👍

Don't feel bad about dying . . you are doing amazingly well. Most first time players die 30+ times (some well over 100). You've died, what, 4 times? My current playthrough - on the public test server for the new biome I've died 6 times: 1) Got yeeted off a mountain by a golem and died from the fall 2) Was building my base and forgot to eat . . . fell off the roof and died 🙄 3) 3rd death was fighting the Mistlands Queen Other three deaths are in the new biome . . . its brutal! 😯 But super fun! They outdid themselves.

So much progress! Troubles aside, I absolutely cannot believe your luck. Not only did you immediately find a Queen spawn, but your first mine had 11 black cores and a ton of other loot. It's saying something that this is still barely scratching the surface of the biome's secrets. Worry not, there's loads left to discover. :)
