Ahh canal building! One of my favorite mods is 'Use Equipment In Water' makes this sort of thing so much easier!
I could prob go down another level but it’d make clearing this area a pain. Hopefully it’s deep enough.
Yes, chickens can pile up and over the wall. When eggs hatch they can sometimes spawn the chick on the other side of a wall if the egg is up.against it.
Base building is such a chill experience in this game

If you want to avoid free-handing things for consistency,
like when centering something in a 1x1 block
you can get half metre offsets for both horizontal and vertical,
by using the 26' cross and the good old wooden door.
3:14:49 For armour stands to get them facing the right way,
the little nub goes at the back for the cloak.
Well you've certainly got a couple of rooms that are really taking shape,

Interesting tip about centering stuff in 1x1 block. I’m having a hard time conceptualizing it but might be worth playing around with.
I want to see you build this properly. Not now, but sometime in the future after you finish this run. Even if it is a once a month video to give you a break from future videos. I will give you a little tip if you want it now.
Go back to the walls you were building for test heights. Before you place any stone walls down, put down some vertical iron posts and work your way up from there.

I did try that (it was one of the eps which didn’t record properly), but I had the same result. Clearly I’m approaching it wrong 😕
