You really went with a monolithic design on that dock,
in future builds if you wish to save on some stone
you can by replacing some of it with air.
Vaulting has been used since ancient times,
pillars and archways, Blondie. ;)
As for food, I tend to split it up in to,
easy to craft everyday food for when I'm sailing/farming/building
(i.e. Sausages and Wolf jerky, I have so much wolf meat... too many times being hunted)
and,
harder to craft/more difficult to gather top-tier combat food,
for when I know I'm heading off to get into trouble.
So you know, eat what you want, ice cream included XD.
The ultimate idea was to shield the ship on both sides which acts as a roll break and protection from mobs. Plus, I love the idea of a boat shed 😁
The food situation is still something I’m getting comfortable with. It’s nice to be able to push out the new recipes and see what maintaining them requires. A consecutive playthrough might be more conservative, but for now I’m enjoying trying to main new foods.

Frying Tonight!
As soon as I read “Frying Tonight!”, my brain automatically swapped the (drumroll) for (drumstick). 😂
Since you have an easy time in Plains anyway because of your skill levels and fully upgraded gear, it is not so important to switch the sausages to lox pies at this point. Better make them and save them for later (boss and next biome).
Hmm, that may be a good point. It’ll depend on ingredients, we’ll see how things go.
