  • A meandering trip across the oceans of water and savanna in search of the fabled boss spawn.
Be mindful that I'd like to experience as much of this fresh as possible. No spoilers please.
    Give tips when:
    - I ask for them.
    - I'm doing something wrong.
    - I could be doing something better.
    DON'T give tips when:
    - They spoil the surprise or joy of discovery.
    - They're about things I haven't seen, unlocked, or otherwise shouldn't know about yet.
    - Finding out the hard way seems like more fun ;)

Blondie..."Is that an inland sea?" Fulings hiding in bushes nearby..." Naw...thats just a puddle"

'Burning Lox Festival' at the Fuling camp! 🤣 That was a huge village. Nice mobs of fulings. The one big drawback with the atgier is that it uses a ton of stamina (especially for the 360 spin attack). I usually run with two stamina foods and just one health food when I plan to use the atgier. You are squishier but the atgier is so good at keeping enemies off you.

If only Loxes would self-immolate more often. 😂
It pays to collect as many enemies as possible around you before hitting the 360 spin. Either that or find a rock to perch on and let them come to you. Those furling mobs are tricky to handle either way.

If only the Wolves had attacked when you were fighting the village! 😉 Still, free meat delivery is always welcome!

    The search continues….!
Some tough fights there, thought it would be a bit touch and go in some cases, but you’ve proved yourself to be more than adept at those situations!
Rocks - the game won’t bother telling you about them until they’ve been damaged, then the game notes them as a point of interest.

Those fulings are nasty in numbers. 😳
Kinda weird that it flags those rocks at all. I don’t recall the same behaviour while actively mining the smaller rocks but hey, perhaps I missed it.

Blondfire's next run; no portals! It's not as hard as one might think. For sure you don't forget things at home though, at least not a second time. 😀

Yes, Hubris is a leading cause of death in Valheim XD
00:27 Might not have been a bird by the water but there was another on your roof ;)
1:07:01 Maybe you should've built some of those earlier, at the top of the stairs,
to stop your feathered friends from falling off the ledge/balcony,
    a nice little safety railing.
But if you do have a spare bird or two roaming around,
where did you leave your butcher's knife?
1:55:14 Issue is, if that's not an enemy, but a chest you're hitting through the wall,
if you don't have a workbench in range, the loot might despawn before you get to it...

Maybe they shouldn’t have been nosy little buggers to begin with 😝
Yes, I might breed a few to see what the butchering returns are like. Chicken pie…?
I should be able to get to anything inside before it despawns. The respawn time seems fairly generous. Loot beyond the radius of the workbenches but within view of the base tends to stick around for days.

Chickens: So by now you should know how they work. There are no roosters ( though that was a fair assumption lol). That room you have set up is good for them if you can contain them all in there and keep them from escaping! My advice is to get as many hens as possible. Their meat and eggs are used to make some of the best foods in the game so they are extremely valuable later on. The entire area must be kept warm for them to reproduce so you will have to work that out. They eat dandelions as well.
5th boss: You are on the right track. Keep searching the plains.
Boss powers: You keep forgetting your bonemass power... might want to switch to it when roaming and exploring. The bonemass power will almost become a necessity soon so don't forget it.
Tar Pits: 3-4 good tar pits should give you all the tar you will ever need. Since you still seem to be struggling, will just say that the top of your drainage canal has to be lower than the bottom of the tar pit. So yeah, dig a deep trench. t.
Cheers viking brother in arms! Onward to glory!

Oh cool, I didn’t realise they ate dandelions too. Yes, I’ll need to set up a home where they can flourish. More on that soon.
I haven’t found any situation which has required a power so far. Moder is easily the handiest right now and I keep forgetting to change it for exploration. We’ll see how future fights go I guess.
The bottom of the tar pit is always further down than it looks. 😳
      Cheers, brother 🍻

I think one chicken pushed the other one off the second floor ledge. 🐤 A railing should fix things and keep them contained.

If definitely did. The chicken situation will be revised soon 😉

    And todays event is.....
    drumroll please...
    "Who let the dogs out"
    Or, if you prefer...
    "Walkies"
    Your choice.

Lets just say you did exactly what that stone formation called for you to do, which is check it out.

You do not need to waste barley as chicken food. They eat all kinds of seeds, beech seeds included. I always feed them all the beech seeds that have accumulated from woodcutting until this point and, while doing that, make a dedicated seed field where I grow 20 or so turnips or carrots only for chicken food seeds. Cairn stones are important (not that particular one though). You guessed correctly what they are for, but it is not granted that you will always find the runestone near them, it is just a chance, just like in tombs. In some of my maps I found it quickly, in some - visited 20 or so cairns and did not find tanything, but stumbled on the boss altar itself instead.

Hmm, I do have a surplus of other seeds, and it would give the home garden more purpose now. I’ll think on it.
Okay cool, good to have it confirmed. I’ll keep an eye on them in future.

I think Rocks only 'identify' as rocks once they are damaged. Sort of confirming what you are destroying. That rock formation had nothing but sometimes they are important . . it will be obvious, you don't need to dig them up.

    • @Blondefire_HeyBlondie
      @Blondefire_HeyBlondie  4 місяці тому

That’s the first time that I can recall seeing that behaviour. It’s never been apparent when I’ve mined rocks, although perhaps I just wasn’t looking for it.
