  • Danger all around. Can I make landfall? Will the path to the dragon be open?
Be mindful that I'd like to experience as much of this fresh as possible. No spoilers please.
    Give tips when:
    - I ask for them.
    - I'm doing something wrong.
    - I could be doing something better.
    DON'T give tips when:
    - They spoil the surprise or joy of discovery.
    - They're about things I haven't seen, unlocked, or otherwise shouldn't know about yet.
    - Finding out the hard way seems like more fun ;)

Discretion is the better part of valour, I think you made the right decision there bud. As you said, you did some great exploration and that is never wasted time! Looking forward to the next episode 👍👍

Part of me still wonders what might have happened if I tried to charge through. Guess I’ll find out soon enough when we visit Mistlands better prepared.

Garden/Dock Tips: Love the new stone pathway to your front entrance! Suggest building a stone wall around the garden and a double wood gate framed by stone on your new pathway so you can cart your loots right through the front door. The meadows/BF baddies don't have the strength to get through a wood gate.
10:22:00 An alternative to raising the ground is to install stone walls below the stone floors to support them. Use the Q snapping tools. You can actually build a full stone dock way out into the water with this technique and stone doesn't get damaged by water.

The whole garden needs an overhaul. I’ve wanted stone walls for a while but was going to lump it in with a complete redesign of the front area. I was also thinking an iron gate or 2 which seem to be quite hardy.
I like the idea of a stone dock, I could push ahead with this. There’s plenty of stone lying around 😂

Just a small suggestion (and do what you wish by all means good sir) but I would probably go for the other Moder location. Its almost like the further from the center of the map you go the more wild the lands become. Maybe its just me. 🤔
Deathsquito: you should be fine with your gear. Just block or parry them if they attack and learn their attack pattern. (Non spoiler tip as I've seen you do it before on your first plains venture way back) You could easily one shot them as well with a spin of the polearm before they even get to you.

Yep, gettin’ the crazy vibes the further from center we go.
I’ll get the hang of skeets, just need a little more practice to get comfortable with them.

When it says "Plains" or any other terrestrial biome when you point the cursor on the water on the map, it is not wrong. It just means that the waters there contain the corresponding biome fish and some other features characteristic to the shores of the said biome (colours etc.). In the case of "Black Forest" waters, you can expect also shallows and rocks, and in the case of "plains" - frequent mists.

Makes sense. I wondered if the frequent mists were because I was close to the mistland biomes.

The game's RNG continues to screw you. I think that might be one of the most brutal Moder locations I've ever seen, if not the worst. I might personally chance a crossing if I could find a gap with little or no mist--and enjoy the hell out of it--but I also know exactly what I can get away with in Mistlands. I think you made all the right calls at every point in this, and that trying for the other known Moder location is a better idea.

Without knowing what mistlands entails, it’s a big leap into the unknown, and I’ve already glimpsed some of the creatures which lurk there 😭

That was a really fun episode! I love all the exploring and puzzling out how to get places. I was wondering how you would handle the cursed Moder mountain! That one is just pure evil.

Cheers! I was worried it might be boring given that I didn’t achieve much. That mountain was a pig but we’ll be back when the time is right.

    A skeleton surprise is...
A bunch of skeletons dropping around for tea, and shouting " SURPRISE MOFO!!!"
I truly am sorry, I really am, but you asked for it.

Suggestion time: Build a stone path all the way to the forge to the right side of the base (not stone blocks) If I'm totally honest your base looks a bit neglected.. It is unnecessary large.. Put some wood trims like on the main stone stairs, maybe divide some rooms, make some proper beautiful storage areas.. NOT every chest on the floor.. I would relocate the whole kitchen area where the barrels are.. but that's just me and many other details..And (for the love of Odin) stop placing the wood walls parts inside-out. Maybe you dedicated a building episode just for your main base? Sorry about the comment but I really love watching your videos even more than a movie :P Its all love. Keep going :)

Oh yeah, the main base has been neglected a bit since it was initially built. I had to plan for storage and future space without knowing exactly how/if they would be filled.
I had a completely different plan for the chests originally, I was going to store them in large bookcase structures so that the floor was clear.
I’ll continue to embellish the base in bits as the series continues.

The game really wants to keep Moder from you.
