Valheim - Blind longplay - Chapter 1 - Episode 82
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 тра 2024
- The root of a mystery, standing upon the shoulders of titans, and foreign delicacy. I travel where only vikings dare.
Be mindful that I'd like to experience as much of this fresh as possible. No spoilers please.
Give tips when:
- I ask for them.
- I'm doing something wrong.
- I could be doing something better.
DON'T give tips when:
- They spoil the surprise or joy of discovery.
- They're about things I haven't seen, unlocked, or otherwise shouldn't know about yet.
- Finding out the hard way seems like more fun ;)

33:20 - "Don't do this to me!!" Hugin was no help!! LOL You're going to have a great time in the Mist!!
Soft tissue is rare so grab as much as possible.
When you’ve killed the boss for a particular biome, you’ll start to get night spawns from that biome, hence you’re getting fuling spawns now.
Again, you’ve been fortunate with the RNG in terms of having good cover when the Gjall turned up, but you made good use of it so credit to you for that. Overall, I’d say that was a great first venture into the mistlands, looking forward to the next episode! 👍👍
Meant to add, the combat on slopes is pretty janky, unless you’re pretty much perfectly level with the mob in question, you’ll regularly find that hits that should have landed don’t, unfortunately that’s just been a feature of the game mechanics for a long time, so seems doubtful it’s something the devs are likely to change.
I’m not against filing spawns near the base, free black metal!
Nice to have it confirmed and it’s not just my imagination. I’m starting to get the idea of kiting enemies onto flat ground to land hits but man it’s frustrating.
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie Yeah, you just have to accept that you can't hit enemies that are above you and don't even try.
I believe the developers want you to have to pick good terrain for fighting and not just be able to spam attacks anywhere. But some refinement to the hit boxes would be appreciated.
Welcome to the Mistlands. My tips: Take it slow and deliberately till you get geared and keep the fire, stam stam and health potions at a ready at all times! Make some ooze bombs they are helpful in certain areas. They are a godsend. And frost arrows are your friends. All the best of luck! Let the extermination begin!!😂
This hits different after the latest recording (which hasn’t dropped yet as of this comment). My impulsiveness and temper got the best of me 😬😂
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie I watched the episode lol. Nothing wrong with pushing it.. its how you get better! I like it. Exterminate those bugs! Oah and Frostiner does slow their movement, but not their attack speed. Slowing them does open up an opportunity to bow or sledge them. Bunch of ways you can play it.
Unlike going into the Plains where you get a bunch of new crafting/manufacturing stations, you get a weak floodlight and a "good on ya," and off you go into the Mist. ☹
Yeah, it’s quite the setup 😂
1:12:36 Last tip (super important): Like seadog said below this is going to be super common in the Mistlands and just a basic flaw in the game throughout all biomes. You have to be on equal footing to hit. If a mob is significantly above or below you your blows wont land. As mistlands is very rocky and lots of slopes you have to be very aware of this or the mobs will wreck you while you swing at air. So best to let them come to you and re-position like you did. 👍
There’s seems to be some other weirdness with levels, ‘obstacles’, and strikes which I discover in the next ep. Going to have to be very picky about where I have my battles.
Things are going to get interesting now. This biome is one that will make you say a lot of bad words and a lot of good ones too. I am really, really, REALLY looking forward to what comes next. Run to the hills, trust me. Btw, I'm sure other people have said it already...stam stam very important here. Excellent video. Thank you.
Cheers 😁
I’m excited for what comes next. The fog obscures much so discovery is sudden. As much as I dislike not being able to see far it does heighten the sense of adventure.
After you kill each boss their mobs start spawning at night. So you will find small parties of Fulings around now. Greydwarves came to the meadows after you killed Eikthir, Draugr even spawn in the forests sometimes if its foggy. Mountain critters don't however.
I won’t say no to more loot drops.
Yes, all workbench's block spawns in their build radius (as do the forge, stonecutter, etc).
That should cover the corner wall while they’re in the center of the yard.
Oh look another first kill trophy drop.
Your luck seems to be holding :D
Lots of new things to build,
will these new blocks effect the side project?
May your next dive into the mists be as bountiful.
Hmm, it may affect the creative build for visual structure and accuracy. I’ll have to plant the new blocks and see how they look.
You missed one of your unlocks . . . that involves the wisps you have been collecting . . .
Well, he had the tunnel vision switched on the marble stuff :)
@@Vasilio1000 That was actually a good thing however . . . it would have been very easy to miss the 'brain cheese' in the skull!
@@trengilly01 True :)
You mean the wisp light?
@@Blondefire_HeyBlondie Nope . . . on the hammers furniture tab there is another source of light! The Wisp Light is the thing you are carrying around with you . . . but there is a more permanent option 😉
What do chickens eat? And, Do Vikings eat chicken?
Yes and yes. 😂
A proper chicken coop is on the menu soon.
