Brian Mitsoda & Chris Avellone might have come up with something great if the first dev studio had actually, you know, tried. Now it's a joke. Paradox management have descended into the realms of EA greed/mismanagement sometimes in recent years. It's a very bad sign. Imagine having such a revered IP and trying to just kick something out the door? It's like if Baldurs Gate 3 was just a "who cares, do it in 6 months" job.

Seems like the same as DA4 and Avowed. Simplified for modern audiences and most features being worse or non-existent compared to its predecessor. Focus on "cinematic" feel instead of mechanical depth and player choice. I don't know who is this for, the old fans aren't going to be happy with it and what's the selling point for a non-fan? I don't see this game doing good.

The problem that i have with bloodlines 2 is that it looks more like an action adventure with smalltalk than a roleplaying game. Also that Skills and Attributes are missing form the character screen shows that for me. The curse of bloodlines continued... P.S. BUT i know that there are great modders out there that can make the game like it should be if it is not like we did with bloodlines!

This game is supposed to come out this year, and in 5 months it will be December. We have yet to see any gameplay loop linked to an RPG: influence of clans in dialogues, influence of dialogues and skills on events, character creation tools, masquerade system, morality and bestiality, factions in the city , plot. None of this has been addressed since January 2024. The only thing we've been offered is poorly written Fallout 4-style dialogue and generic fights in a flashy-colored warehouse. For me, this game is a complete work in progress and has tried to slowly lead to pre-orders on the only thing that more or less holds water: the combat and a protagonist who speaks (and given the reaction of the fans, it's a total failure). Given the lack of communication outside of a discreet developer blog since the very negative feedback from the community, I think this project will slowly fall into oblivion. And that will be a good thing.

After playing Still wakes the Deep if they do like that yes it was hubs then yes it could be release this year but closer to Nov or Dec. but that is all I'm expecting from this Game I gave up calling it Bloodlines 2 in Jan. 2024 But Yeah full on Here a Hub go through this Door to the Next Hub then so on and so on until the story Ends in 8 hours and your Questioning what you played but can go back though with all the Other Clans, play it with all clans 40 Hours tops. If you must know Just think this that Warehouse was pretty Much Named Warehouse Hub world 1,2 & 3.

"They could have had a basic character creator", no Esteldan, because that would defeat the point. The whole point of making these horrible they/them characters IS to force the player to play as them. You can't social-engineer people if they have a choice in the matter, you have to force it. We will never see a proper character creator ever again, if these people have their way. It goes against everything they want to push.

I don't think anyone, outside of delusional hardcore fans DESPERATE for a sequel, is expecting much from Bloodlines 2 at this point.

Please, don't give me hope. I'll just keep playing the original Bloodlines & Vampyr.

When I saw the gameplay reveal it gave me Redfall vibes, it's boring, bland, safe, generic...

Everyone involved in the creation of Bloodlines 2 should be forced to play Bloodlines 1 ASAP.... Then they could get an idea of what an awesome character looks like... for example Lacroix, Jack, the twins... ^^ I can't think of any character I'd describe as crappy in Bloodlines 1. They all had an RPG soul. 🖤 Also, I want to play as a male Nosferatu and have the NPCs react repulsively to me, not this whatever "she" is ....

even if bloodlines 2 were to get into the hands of a decent developer, it would still be bad because they have the IP owners white wolf to contend with, and they are about as woke as you can get. they'll 100% demand that any developer has LGBTQIASDAQWERTYUIOP representation and other things too like climate change and all that other stuff same thing likely happened with BG3, you a lot of pro-leftist stuff in that game in the later chapters, but nothing of the sort in larian's previous games. why? because WOTC likely wanted a certain amount of representation. same will happen for bloodlines.

The tragedy is if this game was just made with the lore, writing and spirit of the original game it would have sold like hotcakes and maple syrup. As with most modern games coming out in recent years I have about zero expectations of this actually happening, or if it does of it being even remotely decent.

Im an Xbox dude since 2009, and this game looks awful, not hyped at all and fools are lying to themselves like this game will be good.

Is it more than 5hrs ? Will it release in a playable form ? Will it be marketed ? 6yr waitt, ...more than Hellblade 2 ??

I understand about the marketing but it seems so everyone's complaint is about the artstyle?? That's it??? The artstyle reminds me a LOT of kingdoms of amalur-one of my favorite rpgs. I AM hyped for avowed. Obsidian releases amazing rpgs. I am sick of the typical "photorealistic" medievil grayish color scheme these dungeon like rpgs have. This is a breath of fresh air. Remember graphics and artstyle are NOT the same. Also this game will be on xbox game pass day one. So you can try it if you dont like it, uninstall it.

Obsidian made every baffling decisions every step along the way with Avowed. The first big problem wasn't even the CGI announcement trailer. It was that they chose to set "Avowed" in the same world as their failure of an IP "Pillars Of Eternity." Why was this decision made? It has a TINY fanbase, and most of them are fans of only the first game. Not only is "Pillars of Eternity" a failed IP, but when they showed their gameplay reveal, to add insult to injury, they chose to use the art style and aesthetic of the MEGA-FLOP "Pillars Of Eternity 2: Deadfire." Then they downgrade its scope from a "Skyrim" to the fucking "Outer Worlds" which was their most average and shortest RPG they've ever made (and most overrated game of theirs ever). THIS is the game that's supposed to show us "Obsidian Entertainment" UNLOCKED with a big budget, big resources, and creative freedom given? The damn thing looks like it desperately struggling to hit 30fps. It also looks like a launch base-Xbox One game. This is shit. And that's coming from an Obsidian Entertainment Fan.

They need to get rid of the absolute trash that is the 240 (+) temple grind. I don't really have a lot of complaints, but omg it is absolutely horrible. It makes me not even wanna reach god tier powers cause it's just utterly infuriating. I am convinced the higher ng+ you get, the more the stupid sparkles disappeared the moment before you get to them! Oh and I'd like to actually be able to finish quests without the last missions being bugged to be unplayable ( missing npcs and stuff )

I'm not paying $60 CAD, 2/3rds retail price for a game I bought for a full $100 CAD at launch, finished and put away two years ago. No way. Scam. My money's going to FFXIV Dawntrail expansion. Had to wait an extra two weeks for it cause of this trash DLC.

The first reveal trailer excited me: dark, grimy, gritty realism, but now this seems more like a cartoonish MMO single-player-styled video game. Very disappointing!

Getting really tired of the apologists saying the colorful aesthetic matches the setting's tone when it absolutely does not. Deadtire was a tropical pirates game but PoE 1 was dark and gritty as hell.

The Outer Worlds sucked, it only got a lot of praise from gamers at the time because so many people were pissed at Bethesda about FO76.

From what I've seen in looks like a poor man's Skyrim. So I'd rather just keep playing Skyrim.
