Talking about Gothic, there is a Gothic remake in the works. All I know about it is that the head writer from Enderal (Skyrim total conversion mod) works on the remake.
The Gothic Remake isn't being made by the original German dev is it? I know they moved on to the Elex games. Might check out the Gothic Remake if it's good. Never played the original.

Not at all. I’m one of their original Kickstarter backers. They gave it their all and Vavra had to get heart surgery and his hair turned white due to all the stress (he also put literally all his money into it before the Kickstarter to keep the project alive and was basically bankrupt). Not once did they lie (intentionally mislead anyone). I think many people have no clue what a Kickstarter project is. Throughout development they ran into limitations of the engine for example which they did not expect so the battles in the first were not as large scale as they hoped. Is that lying? Not really. It’s still the best Kickstarter I have ever backed. Acting like Warhorse are somehow scammers is just insane.
Making the world feel alive isn't just art, though that is a big part of it, the other big part is npc interaction. When you are in an open world RPG, such as skyrim, you will often find that the world revolves around you. Now it always "must" to some degree, but there is a lot that one can do to not make it feel that way. As much as they are certainly going to get the art right, I believe what they are referring to are the NPC interactions. Any fan of KCD would comment on how well you interact with the NPCs in the "Women's Lot" DLC. So they've learned then, and they are implementing what they've learned, and likely improved upon it. I have little doubt!
It also sounds like they will have a similar system to RDR2 where you can talk to people and respond to NPCs with the press of a button without necessarily entering full conversations (those will also be there of course).

In this case, its acceptable that the map will be 3x bigger since its a historically accurate game, every location can be found in real life. In addition, according to SxyBiscuits, it might even be released early if Sony and Microsoft approved it for compatibility

AC Odyssey was the best game Ubisoft ever made; an amazingly good open world RPG. Witcher 3 level good. And yes, Gothic 1&2 + NOTR are my favorite games ever made (I played them at their time, and many times again afterwards). But when you randomly fling "latest AC games" around like it's a bad thing, it sounds like you never actually played Odyssey through :| (Valhalla, yes. That's mediocre. But Odyssey is a jewel) Also, Dragon's Dogma 2's microtransactions are irrelevant to the game itself. And the game itself runs fine as long as you don't have a PC built 10 years ago. They never dropped the ball. Not for a second. Dude, wtf? Do your homework.
Just some random additions. THQ Nordic is part of the embracer they bought Koch Media bit granted them buisness autonomy. So basically Koch Media (plaion) can do whatever they want. Plaion bought Warhorse Studios back in 2019 but also published Kingdom Come Deliverance 2018 under their Gaming Label Deep Silver. I'm not that much concerned about forced Diversity at this Point.
I want a big combat update. The original sat in a weird place between a great idea and a rough execution. Especially once you unlock master strike you can literally defeat anyone no matter the level.
I hope the combat is still interactive while not being dumbed down. Henry is more experienced as a fighter, but doesnt mean it's supposed to be a breeze
They are probably going to use the same system with new perks or skill trees. Maybe starting stats at like 10 or 15 to give you some growth, or now that henry is a man he can get to like 30 instead of just 20
The combat was pretty fucking garbage not going to lie. Master strikes were basically just spam to win and not being able to just swing your sword side to side is ridiculous.
@cendresaphoenix1974 you were half right. If you want to just be a blender go play skyrim. Having enemies being able to block makes it much more difficult and more fun imo, and you actually have to try to win instead of just hitting r2 a million times.
saving system is completely viable - i only used the schnaps option maybe 5 times in my whole playthrough, and even that mostly at the very beginning of the game.
Didn't really have a problem either. I player the game in an immersive way so at night I would always go to my home and sleep which saves automatically. I only used the schnaps if I wanted to try something really risky.
