The Latest Xbox Showcase & Summer Game Fest Rumours... Should We Be Hyped?

- It seems like every year there is a ton of hype and expectation for high quality showcases where heaps of creative new games get announced and we're hit with a ton of nice surprises.
The reality is the announcements are usually very safe (as AAA gaming itself has become incredibly safe) and anything mildly interesting usually comes in the form of a cinematic trailer with the game being 5+ years away.
Despite their comical failures over the last year or so, the Xbox one actually seems the most interesting with the most chance of there being surprise announcements and gameplay of titles such as Clockwork Revolution.
Overall though, uninterrupted gameplay of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Is what I'm most looking forward too.
Hopefully Warhorse studios will deliver a game not infected by the mind virus.
The lead developers and game director are actually quite sensible people, so it seems at least. I think it's safe to say it's mind virus free. I hope i'm not wrong lol
@@EXODUS_FPS Vavra (the creator of the IP, founder of the studio and the creative director) is 100% definitely not an NPC (in fact he is someone who would use the NPC meme to mock the current thing). While he has toned down his political opinions on Twitter (and especially in English) to most likely prevent another media crapstorm, he still posts about political stuff in czech on his Facebook. He’s definitely not someone who bows to the Zeitgeist, political correctness, the media and dominant culture. He has his own very strong opinions. And as far as I can see that will never change.
Would've liked to see this dev make a game set during the Crusades. Can't expect a good game from most AAA devs now.
@@raskolnikov6443 I expect KCD2 to be good because KCD1 was good, immersive, original (especially setting it in real history) and had overall strong RPG qualities to it, nothing to do with "wokeness" vs. "anti-wokeness" (btw, both are stupid). Your usage of terms like "NPC", "Zeitgeist" and "political correctness" is a bit cringey, "NPC" is especially ironic.
The only game I care about this year is KCD2 so I see almost no point in even watching this advertisement show with short breaks in between for game reveals
These companies swear people will rush out and buy 100$+ games in droves Let them try and go broke. Most of us will wait and leave the full price for rare occasions.
It’s for the normal people that aren’t cheap. You know the people who keep the industry going so you guys can enjoy it at your price . Remember, you don’t get one without the other.

It's kind of a blessing in disguise that I no longer care about AAA and their monetization schemes. You'll find purity and love for the craft in the indie space.
@@pmac206 I would argue it's moreso for people who have no impulse control. I buy plenty of games at full price if I think they deserve it. The problem is these days that only accounts for Indie and AA. Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3 are the last two AAA games I bought at full price.
Literally the only thing I want to see is Age of Mythology: Retold.
I know I'm not the only one who feels this. But nowadays devs wants people to play "forever" or keep paying forever. I used to wait for games to try out a few years back but nowadays. I don't wait anymore, I just play the old games that I liked yeah the graphics sucks it's not "realistic" but atleast it doesn't shove mtx down my throat, or make me go to hundreds of empty planets to just look for something different or a sub quest to do.
Trend is unstoppable now, because people let the devs keep doing it. It's do a remake or a Re:RE:re:rE or a good game and even if it doesn't live up to the expectations atleast the hardcord fans of the old game will still buy it. There's almost no new IP anymore because devs are being strong armed to making something profitable instead of something inspired.
KCD 2 is the only game I'm hyped for, all I want is a release date and some gameplay. I know these shows are always fuckin dogshit so i'm expecting nothing else. I'm not even gonna waste my time watching it, I'll just watch the kcd trailer on it's own after the show.
The short answer, nope. The long answer, absolutely no. Their fully committed to over priced games full of greed baloney and politics.
Just port Halo MCC, Rare Replay Collection, Fallout 3 GOTY, and Fallout New Vegas Complete to PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Oh, port Wolfenstein The New Order and The Old Blood to Nintendo Switch too. Can't believe we got that awful New Colossus and especially Youngblood on Switch, but not New Order and The Old Blood.
When has xbox made an great game in the last decade? people having hope for that brand are the same one's hoping disney will make something worthwhile 💀 we're talking about an entity that in its first year of having one of the best selling IP's in history: COD, actually lose in sales to an bad harry poter game.... LMAO
Hogwarts Legacy was one of the best wizarding world games ever created to date. I own ALL the Harry Potter games on every console and platform. It is an incredible game.
@@AtomicDudMan doesnt have quinditch, no gnole throwing mini game thrutfully the content is lacking to its predecassors. Hated the collectibles, still have fond memories of the secret rooms in the prior games. And its story lmao nothing comes close to 2007 albatraz, aint even in my top 3 best Harry potter game and those had limited hardware like the gamecube and gameboy but thats personal.

KCD2 and Space Marine 2 are supposed to release in 2024. Maybe Stalker 2 will as well.
Well the idea of playing a 100$ game on a broken launch dont help. Seeing everything and looking to the guy next to you ans saying, "Want to take bets on wokeness levels." And most of asking, "Why does the game from 10 years ago play better then that."

I gave up on Elder Scrolls 6. I'm inclined to think they, "revealed" it all those years ago just to get eyes and wallets on Bethesda. They had no intention of working on it.
@@AdonanS Bethesda is working on it now. I wouldn't get my hopes up because it will most likely be underwhelming and filled with woke nonsense when and if it ever releases.
@@No.1komanga I know that's what they say, but given the fact we've barely seen anything since the first reveal, I'm not taking their word for it. This is shaping up to be another Anthem in terms of wasted development time.
@@No.1komanga Who cares about "woke" nonsense, you guys are obsessed. TES VI will likely suck because BGS has shitty game design not focused on good roleplaying progression and narrative, their overall writing quality has gone downhill and we won't ever get anything as inspiration as Morrowind.
KCD2 and GTA6 are all a really care about hope there some good ones shown.

Entitled? My standards were set by the industry itself, even by Bethesda. But nowadays, a so-called AAA dev needs to spend 500 million bucks and seven years of work to get the worst and most incomplete game of a brand, like Halo: Finite, with a fracture of the all-time peak of a Palworld for 7 millions.
I doubt anything worth getting excited over will be announced.

We should never be hyped by Xbox showing anything. They've spent years of "showing." All that matters now is results. Black Ops 6 was in development before Microsoft got Activision, so it doesn't matter. Xbox needs to prove that they can make good and successful games under their management, not just release titles they bought.
Black Ops 6 is gonna be Day 1 on Game Pass, $70+ for PlayStation. Game Pass will likely kill its sales numbers.
Not that it matters given what CoD has done recently. CoD is chasing the Fortnite audience. Cringe and lame.

Should we be hyped for Xbox? State of decay 3 announced 2020 showcase Skyrim no where to be seen since 2018 it’ll just be more promises & more waiting for broken slop & I’m the Xbox fanboy that moved to pc🤣
