Is Bioshock 4 About To Be Announced?

- 2K Games are about to announce a new game in one of their “beloved” franchises.
Bioshock comes to mind as a series we know is meant to be getting a new entry, though it has been years of radio silence.
For me, I’d love it to release and perhaps kickstart a new era of immersive sims, a genre that has always been poorly marketed to the masses despite having die hard fans.
Maybe it’ll be something boring like Borderlands 4 but many people are guessing Bioshock 4, fingers crossed it’s not copium… (though whether it will be good or not is another conversation).
Mafia 4 or Bioshock 4 would have me pretty excited tbh!
I'm not looking forward to any triple AAA games now they mostly turn out to be Cultural Marxist Poison
Odd that you feel this way (I agree with you to an extent) yet you continue to watch videos about said games and even comment on channels dedicated to pointing out this issue.
ImSims are not dead, the creators of The Ascent are working on Immersive Sim! ... Yeah, I'm grasping at straws.
The idea that any modern writers could even come close to the quality of the original is laughable.
Redfall was a dumpster fire because approximately 70% of the team that worked on Prey (including the lead dev) had actually left the company. And no doubt a lot of the remainig devs would have preferred to do another decent im-sim rather than a lazy (attempted) cash-grab
Either 3 things, Borderlands, Mafia, or a BioShock. Bioshock is least likley to be announced. Because its in development hell.
But if bioshock were to be announced, it would be Summer Game Fest or Game Awards. Because Geoff Keighly said it would be a dream be the one to announce the the next bioshock.
If it is Borderlands 4, it will have even more cringe writing.
It'll take place, on Transdragula, a world filled with "Diverse", Dragqueen Sirens.
The characters you can choose from, are all children. You do not want to finish the campaign.....

I wouldn't put Bioshock in the immersive sim category anymore than I'd put Fallout in that category. But of all the franchises under the 2K umbrella, that's the one I'd most likely buy. The creator of Bioshock is off making his own game though. So don't get too exited. It's called Judas. The did a reveal this last Spy Wednesday. It's set to release next March. My bet is March 27, 2025 for obvious reasons.
You is forgetting Judas from Ken Levine. It is launching in early 2025
It's already been revealed and Judas isn't part of the BioShock franchise

Ken Levine won't be a part of Bioshock 4, even if they do make it, so I'm not the least bit interested.
Levine wasn't involved in BioShock 2 and it's perhaps the best entry in the series

for the love of God i want them to give us a new entry in the series , as well as information of the bioshock film in development and please port bioshock 1 to PSVR2 and a next gen upgrade for the original trilogy

OMG “immersive Sim“ is not a real thing it’s a made up word
They started using this term when they realized they 'had' to drop the RPG mechanics to make First-person RPGs more palatable for the WideR aUdiEnce.
An immersive and super realistic Sims game would be sick though. We'd call it "Immersive Sims"

@@GeneraluStelaru I know the people who love the term will disagree but KCD is what I would call an immersive sim. It’s very immersive and it also has that simulation aspect (simulates persistent NPCs, medieval villages etc.).
