The Xbox Situation Gets Even Worse… Hi-Fi Rush 2 & Dishonored 3 Cancelled?

- Only a day after closing down a number of studios, now Xbox executives are talking about how they need not just AAA games, but also smaller, passion projects as well.
Obviously, this is a lie given they just killed the Hi-Fi Rush studio, a game that fit that description perfectly.
Phil Spencer, Matt Booty & whoever else, they never get held accountable so why shouldn’t they lie? They can say anything and even if their customers know they’re full of it, they seem to just fail upwards anyway.
It’s all pathetic, until these clowns get the boot their treasure trove of IPs are simply going to be wasted.
Microsoft is about to speedrun brand destruction for the world record.
At this point it's gonna be fun to watch them implode from inside out.
Felt sorry for Sega, not feeling this for Xbox. It is completely self imposed. They tossed away their loyal customers for the "modern audiences" that want DEI/ESG video games.
343 Industries, Starfield, Redfall, no games and fine games with zero marketing: XBox is completely incompetent. They spend too much time in DEI trainings?!
Xbox is nice console as a platform but their management suck.

Parasites have put themselves in executive positions. They make truckloads personally by manipulating stock price through actions like buying up smaller companies or later gutting them and firing a bunch of people. Very little of it has to do with delivering products above subpar value to the market. Shareholders must demand true leadership in executive positions or they'll continue to be taken advantage of.
Think of how different gaming would be if EA, Microsoft, Tencent, etc didn't swallow up studios over the years. Some of the studios would have failed, but there would have been so many great games over the years. The big publishers would probabaly be in better shape as far as game quality goes because they would have been forced to compete instead of just consume everyone else.
Short term gain is most important for them.
Closing studios to improve how their look "in the books" for next quarter is more important than what happens to xbox in 5 years.
The whole exclusive bs will end, but first the industry have to go through an implosion, it will be ugly before we get back to more like how it used to be.
We will get back to how it was, but it will get ugly getting there.

Low key never really like bethesda games. Always felt like clunky mess. I dont need my games to look and feel like live action 25k but a lot of the mechanics and bugs were always immersion breaking
People have been begging for a new Elder Scrolls game for 13 years now, and it’s been 9 years since the last mainline Fallout game. It looks like Microsoft is finally going to hold Todd’s feet to the fire and force him to make the games people actually want to play
Be good if xbox just brought mod projects and sell them as games lol. Fallout London, fallout cascadia, fallout Miami, skyoblivion etc... They could make a fuck ton of $$$ from those if xbox brought the mod projects and turned them into actual spinoff games. Keep the mod authors building on those projects, but under Bethesda.
honestly modern Bethesda I highly doubt is competent enough to not screw up TES6, FO5 or anything else

please no.... PS5 is doing grand as it is. The thing is if it is released there it would be the superior console version since every PS5 game has at the minimum a performance mode at 1040p 60 fps whilst the native Xbox version on Series X is locked at letterbox and 30 fps- it's not even a joke
@@claudijatzandrapova3347 I can understand the concerns, but nothing is fixed yet. Maybe it will be the better version, on the PC it should run with 60 fps as far as I know. Yes, the letterbox is not exactly the best idea.
@@platatrinity8857 Microsoft announced it is locked at 30 fps letterbox on both Xbox consoles yet PC has no such lockdown- the player’s PC itself dictates all that. If they did a PS5 port that would include 60 fps 1040p in Performance mode as it’s standard - Stellar Blade has two 60 fps modes as example

To be honest no one is gonna play the games those studios that closed make. Just make fallout 5 those other lame projects just take time away from fallout and elderscolls
I and countless others disagree, Dishonored is awesome and has been the unchallenged king of steampunk in gaming for nearly 12 years.
Not to mention it’s easily one of the greatest immersive simulation franchises of all time, the freedom and creativity is near limitless, practically held back only by your own imagination.
Playing Dishonored is like wielding a lantern power ring from DC Comics, you can do almost anything.

Avowed could be a hit and make a ton of money and still get the studio shut down. Those devs gotta be sweating.
@@fffrrraannkk I've become more skeptical about Avowed since the last gameplay reveal. It's definitely not gonna be this year's BG3, that's for sure. I didn't expect it to be. But my excitement has diminished somewhat. And hey, even if Obsidian does get shut down they could open another studio entirely. Not like it'd be the first time for them. Maybe even do another crowdfunded game. Could be a blessing, honestly.
In 2 days Microsoft has surpassed embracer as most hated in gaming.
I get the feeling Phil Spencer and Bobby Kotick are on a beach in the Carribean smoking cigars and laughing their ass off. "I told you it was a great feeling, Phil" said Kotick, probably.
Nah, Embracer killed the next Deus Ex. That puts them on the top spot easily.
If you really want to play the campaign for the 1st Modern Warfare reboot game from 2019, I've seen used copies as low as $10 for PS4 and Xbox One. Definitely cheaper than the digital copies that often only drop to $20-$30 when on sale.
Probably so cheap now since you can't play the original multiplayer mode that shipped back in 2019. Activision Blizzard no longer wants you playing older CoDs online. It's all about Warzone and the most recent dlc update now.
And yeah, 343I deserves to be shut down. They've had multiple chances now to make a great Halo and failed miserably. They can shut down the Coalition and whatever the dev making the Perfect Dark reboot is called too.
Xbox 360 was my main choice for gaming back during the 7th gen. If not for backwards compatibility, I'd probably sell/trade my XBSX. I'm not hyped at all for anything Xbox has coming this year.
Dishonored 1 and 2 is my favorite game now it's dead. I hate this filth of a company. I've been waiting for Dishonored 3 for years.

Considering how woke Dishonored 2 was by the end, good. I loved the first game and thought the second was pretty good. Couldn’t even finish the “diverse” last DLC.
They didn't shut down the Dishonored Arkane. It was the one who made Prey 2017.
And yeah, the Dishonored sequels were mediocre compared to the original game. You can thank Anita for consulting on Dishonored 2 and its dlc.
Deathloop flopped too btw. I have little to no hype for their Blade game. Arkane probably is working with a consulting group like SBI for that game.

well if they make duff games then get rid of them simple as that redfall was a duff game and they prob pushed hard for that game its a problem across the board theres to much corporate interest and their not making games people wanna play and its just been duff game after duff game .
im saddened by arkane gettign plug pulled on them cause prey was a masterpeice so was dishonoured 1 AND 2 and the death of the outsider masterpeices. the problem is greed if its not oh we need to stop piracy tell ya something the only reason a lot of things have had the sucess they had is because of piracy ahem game of thrones anyone piracy made that and if people like it and respect the work and wanna see more games then after ya played it if it was good then ya buy a copy cause it was brilliant.
but with their anti piracy drive cause of greed i think thats ruined a lot of things for them and im not condoning piracy but a pirate is generally a passionate gamer and will buy the game if its any good but like i say greed and this need to be onlien at all times when ya playing it and the games crud anyway so whose gonna buy the games exactly no one cause their crud games and they dont run as intened and ya cant just buy the game as in a disc install it and then play it why do you have to be online all the time i know why cause of piracy which is only a small thing anyway considering the sales but its just greed end of the day
games studios would do well to take a leaf out of CDPRs book yeah they made a duff cyberpunk game but i'll give them this they turned that around and made the game they promised in the end still not perfect and has a lot of glaring loose end but they got there in the end and these games houses would do well to take not of the way their doing things if this anti tamper and piracy was a problem for them then cdpr wpould have gone bust years ago but its not and their the biggest in the world now and they didnt cover all their games in anti tampering and micro transactions or make it compulsory to be online to play it or any of that and with cyberpunk its a shame that its never gonna get fully realised but they crossed the line for me with cyberpunk and won in the end cause its a masterpeice now cyberpunk but if its oh its piracy so you have to be online all time or its flogging you nfts for more then a few quid and it'll get to point in these games where you have to buy ammo and you cant pick it up thats coming i think esp for call of duty

They did say they were. Then they got shut down. Now they could give the rights to the IP to one of their other studios in order to make a sequel, but judging from what I’ve seen…that is not likely. It honestly saddens me a lot that a critically acclaimed game is just going to be a stepping stone rather than a big splash…vote with your wallets, that is all I am going to say.
@@realxeyes5549 well I just preordered Hellblade 2, but dude u gotta realize they were putting more $ into them than they were getting out constantly, and at the end of the day it’s a business not to mention I’m pretty sure some of these studios were on the chopping block before Xbox bought Bethesda, so if anything the purchase at the very least prolonged their survival
And yeah who knows what’ll happen to those IPs, but everyone brings up Hifi Rush but it’s a rhythm game and those are a super niche genre,
@@fenrirsfolly92 Please understand that as of this moment i'm not doing well emotionally...that particular IP means a lot more to me than what I am willing to share, I'll say that much. To know it's not getting the sequel it deserves is heartbreaking at least to me and I'm trying to cope with it however i can.
