Life in Rural Japan | ☂️💅Go to Nail Salon (It's fine on sunny days as well as rainy days)
Hi! I’m tomomo.
Thank you for visiting my weekday video.
I live in a small town 2 hours drive from Tokyo.
I’m a happy mom of two (👦🏻16 + 👧🏻11) and two cats (😺😇Picku 18.5 + 🐈 Momiji 16).
------------------------
In this video…
I had a nail appointment in the afternoon. Before that, I prepared dinner. I made Meat doria, it’s like rice gratin for my kids.
Since it was raining, I took our laundry at the laundromat before going to the nail salon.
On rainy days, my town is beautifully green and smells of earth, and I feel the blessings of the rain.
I bought Negitama Gyudon (beef bowl with a lot of green onions) for lunch.
I had some beer and Cold tanuki (raccoon) Udon at night😌🫶.
I hope you’ll enjoy my life in rural 🇯🇵 Japan!

I even watched in Doraemon that children hated getting drenched in rain. But in our country children really love rain, they play in rain even though they get dirty and catch cold. I wonder how children behave like adults in Japan! Why would children hate rain? That's strange!

I wish I could have spent my childhood in your country! Then I could have enjoyed the rainy day☂️. I think Japanese adults push their kids to not get wet in the rain or get dirty, which is why the kids grown up that way. It's interesting to see the different ways of thinking in different countries.

¡Hola querida Tomomo! Thank you very much for sharing the video, it is always interesting. First of all, we are glad that your mother remains more or less stable within her prognosis, be very strong dear friend, and live the moment with her, we send you lots of encouragement.🤗 What a scare about mini Tomomo, we hope she is fine now, we are sorry that you were not able to respond to the teacher's call while you were working, these things happen, we have to stay with the positive, that she is recovering well, give her a big hug from us. I hope mini Tomomo is already enjoying her little corner, if Momiji gives her permission...I always like to see her toys, I love them...especially the polar bear stuffed bag, I want one. We have loved seeing how your plants grow and above all that the knob “perilla” still resists...great, and the charming little frogs. Spanish food, everything looked very good, especially the serrano ham, we sometimes have a small sandwich of bread with serrano ham for breakfast, it has healthy fats and is very tasty. We are very happy that you enjoyed it.😋 Sangria is very popular, tourists drink jugs of sangria, then they are a little impaired....you know, dizzy..😵‍💫 The potato salad you had is super popular, we eat it a lot here, it's fresh for the summer, it's called Russian salad “ensaladilla rusa”, the one they gave you I think is a version with fewer ingredients, if you put the name in Google Images “ensaladilla rusa” you can see how we decorate it... Here in summer the seasonal vegetables are zucchini, eggplant, peppers...now they are cheap and there is a lot of variety, especially tomatoes, there are many different types, sweeter, others more meaty, others colorful...We like a very fleshy tomato that is sliced with olive oil, it is the ox heart tomato “tomate corazón de buey” (the name is strange)but it is very good fresh for the summer. In Spain in summer people drink a lot of “gazpacho”, which is like a tomato cream with a little of garlic, cucumber, green pepper, olive oil and breadcrumbs... super popular, also “pisto”, which are vegetables sautéed in olive oil, very nutritious and cheap. I loved seeing the Coach sandals again and that they have not been damaged...they are beautiful and they look great on you, enjoy them very much.😍 Your nails are beautiful and Mini Tomomo was so happy when she saw them...they were very pretty. Here there are many establishments for nail manicures, there is a kind of fashion in having super decorated nails...unfortunately I have very small nails because I bite them, a terrible habit that I have had since I was little, I think since they took the pacifier away...🤭 How beautiful the second-hand market, there were beautiful things, I buy second-hand clothes from time to time on an online platform in Spain, now there is a lot to choose, many times I buy new clothes with tags and they are very cheap...but there are people who don't like buying second-hand things, especially clothes, because they are afraid of germs. Now it's starting to get hot here, we don't have air conditioning, I don't like it very much, we have a fan, but we use it little, what we do is keep the house with the blinds down and we open and close windows to let in draft air...it doesn't always work... I hope your curtains work and you can be comfortable. Today we have a date with football at home, Spain plays against Germany in the Euro Cup, it will be difficult to win, Germany plays in its country (the Euro Cup is held in different cities in Germany) if we lose today we will no longer continue in the competition. ..let's see what happens, either way we'll have a good time. This weekend we will go to see the sales, they have started a few days ago, I need to renew shoes at J.C and see if they have marked down the bag that I liked a lot... let's see if I'm lucky, we'll keep our fingers crossed. Dear Tomomo, I'm saying goodbye now, I always write a lot..., but we love hearing from you and your family and we appreciate the time we watch your video and get closer to your culture and customs, we always learn things. We send you a big hug, for your husband and children, especially for Mini Tomomo and for Momiji, so precious and loving, Until next time dear friend, From Madrid, with love J.C and Silvia😘😘😘😘

    • @tomomo3108
      @tomomo3108 8 днів тому

Hola Silvia and JC, Thank you for writing me again! As always, I really enjoy reading your messages. In my last video, you told me about some local foods you tried when you traveled. I googled it and it looked really yum! Mini tomomo will love that food for sure. Eggs and sausages are everyone's favorite food. It was also interesting to see them singing. Spain is a wonderful country full of music! And yes, we watched Spain Grand Prix! I think Barcelona is a famous place for Japanese people because that's where the Olympics were held. When I was a little, I mistakenly thought that the capital of Spain was Barcelona😂. Ensaladilla rusa looks really good! I saw the recipe of it and it says homemade mayo. I can't imagine what homemade Spanish Mayo tastes like, but I wonder if it's similar to Japanese one. If I went to Spain, I would like to try all the different kinds of tomatoes! I don't eat much and if I eat bad oils, I get stomachaches and vomit. But Spanish olive oil is very fresh and seems good for my body. I also love olives but I'm sure the olives you eat in Spain are different from the ones here! Must be fresher and tastier! How did the foot ball game go? You mean, soccer right? Just to make sure...🤣 And tell me about the bag you have wanted! Could you get it on sale? I hope you did! Have a wonderful Sunday! It's super hot in Japan this weekend. We'll just chill and I'll take a nap with Momiji😆 and some lemon Sangria ( I found it at the store that sells a lot of foreign stuff). Big love from Japan♡tomomo

Your video made me so happy in many ways: Miss Sparkle and her purple bags (I am very happy she was not hurt badly and is healing), Momiji sleeping on "her" new futon, the news that your mother is doing well, those adorable little frogs, raccoon and fox noodles. Most of all, I love getting to see all the scenery when you go driving. I love getting to see Japan from this view. We eat lots of zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, beans, onions, and cabbage from our garden. We will dig potatoes and have squash in the fall. I love eggplant. I never get to eat any of the corn we plant every summer because the raccoons eat one bite from the corn then throw in on the ground. But I use the stalks for fall decorations so I keep planting it each year. Maybe, I should offer the raccoons fried tofu so they would leave my corn alone. I think they would eat both though. 😂 Have a wonderful July. I will look forward to visiting with you again soon.

Hi, Leah! I'm happy that you like the scenery in my town. Miss Sparkle has healed so well that it seems like a dream she ever had an injury😂. Wow, what a lot of veggies you have in your garden! I want to live near there. I didn't know that raccoons love to eat corn! I wish they'd at least eat the whole thing, not just one bite! I will remember to bring some fried tofu when I visit your garden🤣. Have a wonderful days and talk to you soon!

I have a contract with the company to work as a part-time lecture at a university. And about the tutoring job... I'm self-employed and run a cram school, so I think I can call myself full-time♡

Happy Birthday to Miss Sparkle. That's what I call your daughter because she is so bubbly and happy. I loved seeing the scenery on the river and around your town. I had to stop watching midway because the tornado sirens went off here. We are having very, very hot and humid weather and some severe storms. Thankfully, tornadoes are rare where I live. I love seeing what you cook. There are many dishes I have never heard of. This weekend, we will go berry picking: saskatoons, cherries, and blueberries. Thank you for inviting me into your home. I love these scenes from your life.

Hi, Leah! Miss Sparkle😍! What a wonderful nickname you! Yeah, she is always bubbly and happy. She doesn't complain much so I'm grateful for that. I read the news of tornado. I'm so relieved that you are OK! Did you pick many berries? I've never heard saskatoons, so I googled it. It looks like a blueberries, but tastes different? Thank you for loving my lazy cooking! I'm THE normal Japanese woman, and I think it's very rare to show the NORMAL Japanese cooking, you know? Many Japanese youtuber is sooo good at cooking😂 (I'm envy them!)

🎉 Happy birthday to your child!❤ We have "field day" at the end of the school year (late may) here in the USA, but it isn't as intense as I've seen watching shows from Japan sports days, it's more for fun than competition. As always ❤ momiji. I remember my daughters 11th birthday, she cut her hair really short and looked really cute. Most mothers work in the USA now too, but we lived in a bad school district and my daughter (and now youngest son) didn't adapt well to school, so we've cut a lot of our costs so I can stay home and teach them. My teen girl is 16 now and doing very well at a creative arts high school, but I'm homeschooling again for our 6 year old son, it's just the cards we were dealt and we work with what we have. It makes me tired and we don't have a fancy house like their friends have, but they have what they need. ❤

My daughter says "Arigato" to you! Oh, the field day sounds really nice. Nowadays, Japanese kids also seem to want to have fun together rather than compete, but teachers have old-fashioned ideas and try to get the kids to compete! You are a great mom! And your kids have wonderful education with you, I envy you. We don't have homeschooling system in Japan. It's a great option for kids, I think. Your kids thank you a lot for sure❤️

Dear Tomomo, I wanted to write you a message already since two of your videos ago but never managed to because I am so busy all the time right now. First I want to answer your question (yes, I still remember ;) you can nowadays buy Edamame even in the bigger supermarkets in Germany but a few years ago it was only possible in specialized Asian shops. But as Asian food got more and more popular, it spreads more and more in "normal" shops. I also do grocery shopping in an Asian shop since several years already because I love miso, wakame and enoki and so on :) I hope your edamame plant grows biiiiig :) I wish happy birthday to your daughter and peaceful sumerdays for you and your family! :)

Maybe I'm buying German stuff in Japan, right? I think I buy some beer and chocolate! My daughter is saying "Arigato" to you! How's your early summer going? I hope you have some chilling time♡ Talk to you soon! tomomo

Hola querida Tomomo, Thanks for the video, always entertaining and instructive. Juan Carlos and I say happy birthday to mini Tomomo!!! 😍May you celebrate many birthday surrounded by your beautiful family... What a beautiful detail for her the watermelon and the birthday cake...we loved the sofa toast, super original!!🥰 You have a beautiful nap corner in the summer version, it has a very Mediterranean look...and the bamboo curtains are very pretty...it seems incredible that a year has passed since I saw you put the bamboo curtains up.. Here in Spain, the school ends tomorrow, in many schools there are festivals with children's performances and sports...not as well organized as what you have showed us...I'm glad you didn't have to cook lunch box, cooking always consumes a lot of effort and time. Your plants are very pretty, I hope the knob (perilla) survives... will cross our fingers.🤞 What beautiful landscapes you have near your house, they remind me a little of Gibli's films... we have seen the vegetable stand and you have broccoli, we were amused to see it. Do you consume it at home? We eat it but when I cook it J.C. gets depressed, he doesn't like it at all...Honestly, it is a vegetable that smells bad even when it is being cooked...🤫 Very pretty Muji sandals, It reminds me that we have to renew the summer sandals to stay at home... We always learn things from you...thanks for the explanation of house cleaning and the gods of Japan, you have a very rich culture... Our days have been quiet, JC and I went to the Madrid book fair, we didn't find anything that interested us... but it was pleasant even though it was crowded with people... Yesterday we returned from spending three days on the mini getaway, we went to the north of Spain to the province of Navarra, it is a province that borders with France, specifically we were in the city of Pamplona (where the bulls run through the street, I told you last year about this), we spent a pretty days...we walked a lot, saw a differents places and it was very good, we went by car, it takes about four hours to get there, it's good to get away from the daily routine a little. We had planned to go to the border of France, but in the end we didn't, we like to be tourists without predefined routes, we let ourselves go... Summer starts today, but it's raining here and it's a bit cold, just the day that I need to have sun to dry the clothes of the trip, the sunny is out ( Murphy's law)😜 On the subject of birthdays, in Spain for some time now, the children's birthday party is almost a themed party, a lot of money is spent organizing the party with a piñata, magician show or similar and it is organized in rooms special ones that are rented, before it was not like that, in my time and in J.C.'s time, there was a small party at home, your parents would give you a little gift and they would make sandwiches and they would make a very popular homemade cake called Grandma's cake, a cake made with cookies, chocolate and cream... tasty and simple, in many restaurants they serve it as a something nostalgic, if you want to see it you can put this “tarta de la abuela” in Google Images. In a while we will see the UEFA euro2024 (soccer match), Spain plays against Italy, let's see if we win...the UEFA euro2024 is celebrated every four years and faces teams from Europe that are previously classified... soccer is the preferred sport in Spain...Although there are studies that indicate that young people are increasingly less interested on it...this would previously be unthinkable...times changes... We are saying goodbye, I'm sorry to write so much... We send you a very big hug 🤗 for your husband and children too and we don't forget to send another hug to Momiji (always hungry and cute...) Until next time, from Spain with love, J.C and Silvia 😘😘😘

Hola Silvia and Juan Carlos, Thank you for writing me again, I always feel a big love from you two😍🫶. And also mini tomomo is saying "Arigato" to you! Yes, we eat broccoli at home. I often boil them and put some into my son's lunchbox. I sometimes stir-fry them with beef (put some oyster sauce, soy sauce, and salt and pepper). I agree...JC, broccoli smells when it is being cooked😂. But I still like it. My son doesn't like veggies but he can eat them. He's a picky eater...may be most of men are right😂? I'm happy to hear that you went to the book fair and had a fun time! It's always fun to see books🥰. I love the smell of old books. I googled Navarra. It looks so beautiful. Spain has a long history so I always love to see old architecture. You should have had a wonderful time there. How about food? Are there any different foods there than Madrid? Tarta de la abelara looks very sweet! The top of it is chocolate right? But the between chocolate...caramel?? Yeah, I know that soccer is the big thing in Europe. I saw the documentary of Beckham on Netflix. It was so intense! I thought it's just soccer games... but may be more than that? In sports, we compete against each other in Japan, but you guys always seem to compete in international matches, so you may be more fired up than we are! Don't be sorry to write me long, I feel sorry that I can't write you back longer😭. My English skill is not enough to write you long you know? Thank you for always supporting me and being my friend! I always look forward to your message❤️ Love♡tomomo

@@tomomo3108 Hello Tomomo dear!! In Pamplona, Navarra we had a great time, in terms of food, there they are specialists in white asparagus and vegetables, but the most popular is a super simple and very delicious meal, it is fried eggs with “chistorra” (the chistorra is a similar pork sausage with spices), it is delicious and cheap 😋 if you put “huevos fritos con chistorra” in google images you can take a idea, some people add fried green peppers, but I like the simple version. About “tarta de la abuela” grandmother's cake (abuela means grandmother) it is a very easy cake that does not need to be baked and is stored in the refrigerator and eaten fresh...it has cookies dipped in milk, chocolate topping and a cream that is already bought in powder or it is home made, but people buy it in powder . In Spain we have a musical genre called "pasodoble" and they are songs that are danced at popular parties, and in Pamplona, Navarra, they have one of those pasodobles that people sung in the street at the end of the popular local party in which many people from other places have visited the city, is a song of a sentimental farewell, the song named “Don't leave Navarra” ( no te vayas de Navarra)I put you a video where you can see people singing it in the streets of Pamplona./watch?v=gaaVnZJldyw Spain is quite peculiar...😁 Dear Tomomo tomorrow we will eat broccoli, J.C. is already complaining... This afternoon we will watch Spain's match against Albania on television, let's see if we continue on a good streak and win...(we beat Italy the other day) Have you seen Formula 1 this weekend? It was held in Barcelona, I think your family likes it. I don't write English very well, I´m sure that I make grammatical mistakes...but I love being able to write to you and understand each other (we think you write and express yourself very wel🤗l) Until next time, we love watching your videos and we appreciate the effort you make when editing them, it is time that you dedicate and we thank you. Big Hug from us..😘😘😘

Hola querida Tomomo!!! SORRY TOMOMO....., 😱😥 I think I accidentally gave the video a dislike....my crazy fingers...I think I fixed it, I'm not sure, sorry.... Thanks for the video, always entertaining and instructive. Regarding health habits, we don't do anything special, we try to sleep as well as possible, have a routine of sleeping and meal times, and eat as healthy and balanced as possible...stay at the correct weight and eat little salt... But we do what we can...😉 As always I have loved seeing your daughter's Teddy bears and toys, everything so well organized...very cute. I loved the Tokyo folding bag and the canteen, very nice. Your friend cooks very well, everything looked delicious and the dishes were beautiful. If you have to choose between reading or cleaning the kitchen, I raise my hand for reading...☺ I don't buy books, I go to the public library in another larger town and find new editorials there and I borrow them. Lately I haven't found a book that makes me glue myself to the pages...Juan Carlos does buy technical books about his hobbies (mathematics, programming languages...) No one can resist freshly made bread... how delicious it is and what an aroma it leaves at home... In Spain a few years ago bread making machines, like yours, were very popular, now not so much...Now the popular thing is to have an air fryer. A question out of curiosity, what do your students knead? They are remains of the eraser or putty from making crafts... These days have been calm, summer is approaching and the heat too... here the heat is dry, this weekend it is going to rain and that is why we have canceled the plan to go to the Madrid book fair, I told you about it last year (it's been a year already...how time flies) but we're going to leave it for next week. We are planning some free days that we have, and this weekend we are going to search for hotels and routes to enjoy a little disconnection, we will be in Spain, we will go by car close but just enough to see different things. This Sunday we have to vote for the European Parliament, Spain belongs to the European Union (we are 27 countries) and we have to decide who to vote for, Europe is on "dark" times we have a great loss of identity, there is a lot of illegal immigration and radicalism ( and I don't speak anymore for fear of censorship..) but the vote must be decided well, in Europe decisions are made that affect the member countries unequally, in matters of agriculture, industry, ecology... each country has autonomy until there is a European standard that must be complied with... and sometimes it harms us. I hope, dear friend, that your Coach sandals are fine, as beautiful as they are...🥰 Thank you for your opinion about the bag...I share your reasoning about the purchases, we'll see how my story with the cute bag ends. I love that you said that you are a shoe girl...they don't attract my attention so much, I prefer bags...I'll tell you about a phenomenon about the viral sneakers that are fashionable in Spain, they are the Adidas samba, they were a furor, now the ones that are in fashion are the Adidas gazelle, everyone wears them... what a nightmare... There is also a peculiar type of footwear that is now in all the stores, they are a kind of transparent mesh ballet flats...maybe if you Google Images “bailarinas de rejilla” you can see them, What do you think? Horror or pretty?🤔 In summer I like Birkenstock sandals, but not the original ones (very expensive...) but similar ones...I've liked them since I was in high school and they weren't that popular...do you like them too? I like them to wear without socks, here we distinguish foreigners because they wear sandals with socks, that catches our attention... Juan Carlos and I also say hello to mini Tomomo 🤗 I hope you spend some calm and beautiful days, with the frogs croaking and with your beautiful plants... We say goodbye querida Tomomo and family!! We send you all a big hug and take good care of you. And a very special hug for Momiji, so cute!! With love from Madrid, J.C. And Silvia😘😘😘

Hola! Silvia and Juan Carlos! Thank you for writing me again. As always, I enjoyed reading your message! Every time, there are a few words that I don't know, and I learn them from your message❤️ About dislike button... I often get a few dislike buttons, you know, unfortunately😅. I can't satisfy all of them😂. But in this video, I didn't get any of dislike! Yay! So I think you solved the problem. Thank you for worrying! Same to you, I don't buy books anymore. Borrowing books is nice, right? I don't go to the library recently, but you made me want to go there. Juan Carlos loves technical books? Wow. I sometimes borrow math books to learn but I can't enjoy them😂. Just for my students! I forgot to write you about the bread crumb! I just put butter and sugar😂. I can't say there is a special recipe right? My students were playing with an eraser called "Kneaded Eraser (Nerikeshi)". I used to play with them when I was a kid too! It is a type of eraser, but we don't use it as an eraser. Instead, we play with it like clay during classes🤣. I think most elementary schools prohibit them to bringing them to school. They were trying to hide the kneaded eraser because they thought I would show the video to their moms! They are so cute! I was surprised to see on the news that the Danish Prime Minister had been beaten in the street a fe days before the EU election. There seems to be a tense that I just can't feel in Japan. How did it go? I googled Bailarina de rejilla! Wow, they look like bare feet, don't they? Maybe there are people sho wear them in Tokyo, so I will try to observe next time when I go there! And of course I love Birkenstocks too! They are comfy😍. It seems like the latest trend is to wear sandals with socks but I've never tried...should I try?🤣 Mini tomomo says "Arigato = thank you" to both of you! And Momiji😻 Lovely to talking with you! Looking forward to talking with you soon! Big Love from Japan♡tomomo

@@tomomo3108 Dear Tomomo, I am very happy that I was able to fix the dislike button 😄...I was sad about it...I write on a laptop and sometimes I touch what I shouldn't.🙃 The Kneaded Eraser is quite interesting, I didn't know that, it looks very fun...you always teach me things. The European elections have changed things, in France especially and in Germany, ...many people are tired of many things that are wrong... And yes the “bailarinas de rejilla” make you see your bare foot...curious phenomenon of fashion things. I say goodbye since I have to continue studying French... at least the sound of the rain that falls in my town today accompanies me during my super bored French course.🙄 A big hug dear friend!!😘😘😘

I was so happy to see the video from your train ride. I don't know how to explain it clearly. I love seeing places which are not perfectly kept up--where weeds grow and things are more natural. I love seeing grass growing in sidewalks and roadside ditches. Trains which travel past backyards show life from a different perspective. I think I would like living in your town. It's charming. Here, June is when all the plants suddenly grow quickly. Summer days are long so the plants make up for lost time. I really enjoy seeing your daughter. She is so bubbly and energetic. ¡Hola querida Tomomo! Thanks for the video, always great. First of all, I hope your husband is better now. Spring here is being somewhat rainy and a little cold...but little by little the temperature is rising. We liked to see the recipe for leftover bread, in Spain we call that "picatostes" and we usually have them with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee with milk (we dip it in the cup...it's more enjoyable...😋) Tell your daughter that I liked her dance... very good aptitude before school... we should imitate her 😉 Sendai seems nice and interesting, the hotel is very nice, I love seeing hotels, especially the bathrooms....the views are beautiful, spectacular, but it would make me vertigo... In Spain Mother's Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month of May, it is impossible to forget the date because the stores are already reminding the date...you know the marketing, the money must roll... My mother and J.C.'s mother have already passed away, my mother has gone two years ago...I would love to be able to talk to her and comment, for example Eurovision, she was a big fan and super critical of the songs,we laughed a lot, those are the details of the day by day where you realize that she is not longer, but you cannot live in sadness... Thank you for sharing the postcards and drawings that you received for Mother's Day, I loved your daughter's drawing....beautiful.🤩 I also like the brand l´occitane en provence, they have beautiful stores and the packages are beautiful. And the Sendai cup, I loved it...thanks for showing it. Regarding Nisa, we had no idea about it, here in Spain we belong to the European Union, we have the single currency the euro since 2002, the euro had good and bad consequences, since 2002 there have been two very big financial crises in Spain (Since we did not have our own currency, we could not depreciate the currency and Spain was slow to emerge from the crises) As a general rule in Spain there is a lack of financial culture, it is sad to know that many schoolchildren leave primary school without knowing how to calculate a percentage, the low economic level in banking knowledge is terrible. For some time now, in Spain banks hardly give interest on bank deposits, many people invest in investment funds or the stock market, but you have to be knowledgeable so as not to risk the capital that costs so much to save, that is why Spain is a country in which people are very conservative and prefer to invest in apartments or houses. Regarding money, we have been surprised that money is given when you are in the hospital or at funerals....here money contributions are made when a child is born, when someone gets married, birthdays... I think money must be seen as something that is necessary, obviously, but that your life does not revolve around having more and more money, saving is important, because I believe that money gives you the opportunity... to be able to say yes or no depending on what things happen to you... talking about money is always complicated, don't you think so? I liked seeing your food dance, I dance too sometimes... delicious food is happiness.☺ Vacations, this year we have not yet thought about places...I think that in June we will be able to take a short getaway through Spain, visiting some provinces near Madrid...in September I will visit the family in the north of Spain. In Spain there are good hotels, tourism is practically the main basis of our economy, we are a very good tourist destination, especially the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, many people who live in those areas protest the large arrival of tourists, it is a very controversial topic. Our weekends have been quiet, visiting a museum, taking walks...,In the afternoons, now with the good weather, we go for a walk in the mountains near our house, it is a place with many pine trees, from time to time we see a deer in the distance, they are very shy...nature at this time is beautiful and it is worth going to the mountains even if you have to climb many hills...😅 Do you remember I told you that I have a wish list of things I want to buy in the sales?....well, I went to a department store and fell in love at first sight with a bag, it´s on my number one on the wish list, it is a bag from a French brand called Zadig & Voltaire, the bag is white, little, it looks like a child has painted it with a colour markers and it has destroyed the bag...but I love it, but dear friend I don't love the price, it's very very expensive, about 500 euros, let's see in the sales or at the outlet...dream is free. If you put this name in Google images, you get: zadig and voltaire bag shopper XS Sunny #2 What do you think about the bag? do you like it? or is it horrible...🤔 We say goodbye dear Tomomo, we send you a big hug, for your husband and your children, also for Momiji, so adorable...🤗 From Madrid, with love J.C and Silvia😘😘😘

Hola, J.C and Silvia! Thank you for sending me a message! I enjoyed reading it. Yes, you're right. Talking about money is complicated, but now I try to talk about it with my friends... my father... and my kids. The other day, my daughter asked me how much I earn a month😂. She said "May be about ¥30000 (EUR 176)?", and I answered to her "More than that". I wasn't sure how much I could talk about it to her, so I just talked about the average annual income and average monthly income in Japan. It's perfect season to take a walk here too! I envy you because I think there are fewer museums here than in Europe. And about the bag! I saw the image, Silvia! And I thought that the bag is very playful and cute❤️ I really like it. You know that I'm a shoes person, I'd love to have white shoes with this pattern🤣. I once read that if you buy something a little better and use it every day, you'll get your money's worth based on how many times you use it. It also said that you should think about whether it's better to buy something cheaper and use it only once a year. (I understand that...but I like cheap shoes and clothes too...) I hope the bag goes on sale and you can get it! Now, it's time to prepare Sunday dinner! Looking forward to talking with you soon❤️ Love from Japan ♡ tomomo PS my daughter said "Arigato (thank you)" to you!

My son would love your pasta dish 😁 i think you are an amazing cook :) your garden is looking so beautiful and i love how green everything is right now, do you think you will get a kitten so momiji has a friend? accomodation is the same here for Australia which is why we got a caravan so we can do more and take our dachshund with us, we want to make so many memories with our children while we have them home with us before they grow and also being in Australia before we move back to Switzerland. I love how you end your evenings, maybe one day we will share a drink together and eat 🥰 thank you again for sharing your life 😘

Thank you for writing me again❤️ How's your feeling? About getting a kitten... yeah, my daughter really wants to have a kitten. She has been wanting a kitten ever since PIcku was here because by the time she was born, both Picku and Momiji were already grown cats😂. May be we will... if we meet the perfect cats! Looking forward to seeing your caravan trips!

What a treat! I watched the Japanese scenery part twice over my lunch break. Japan is so beautiful. I live in the Great Lakes area where the climate is lovely in the summer so I do not make plans to go away. Your investment plans sound wise. We do not do much to teach about money, sadly. Children just learn what their parents say. We do not usually give money as a gift. The exception is high school graduation and 18th birthday. We know teens will have lots of expenses going to college or moving out into their own apartment. At funerals, the family will designate a charity to which people can donate in honor of the deceased. The organization usually has a personal meaning to the person who has passed such as the American Cancer Association, their church, or a local organization. Aunts and uncles, particularly if they live far away, will put cash in a birthday card for their niece or nephew. But, mostly, people buy gifts. That is slowly changing as gift cards are easily available. Your daughter is so cute, I loved her little dance. I hope you are all well. Enjoy your summer!

Hi, Leah! I'm glad you liked the Japanese scenery. Nice, you live in the Great Lakes area! I guess the climate around there is nice and cool. I miss Niagara Falls! I've never been attended a wedding or funeral in a country other than Japan, so I find it very interesting to see the differences in rituals and etiquette in your country! Thank you for telling me about your culture. My daughter was happy to see your comment☺️. She is cute. Thank you for being a part of my ordinary life. Looking forward to seeing you in my next video!

Dear Tomomo, late happy birthday greetings! I am glad that your mother is doing well and wish her good health! It is great that you take care of yourself, it is important! And your husband is indeed a good house husband, seems like you figured things out quite well! :D In your last message you asked what I had for lunch and I can tell you what I had for lunch today: fried tofu, edamame, mushrooms and coconut creme with cacao powder, stevia and nuts as dessert. I also want to try sellery chicken some time soon you cooked in your last video, it looked very yummy :3 About traveling I have to say I am also the kind of person who does not really enjoy it like your parents, it is too stressful vor me 😅 So I can also answer your question about my weekend plans, oftentimes I just relax and take a rest from work, go for walks or rides and do housework and errands. Looking forward to your next video! ❤ Looking forward to your next video! ❤

Hi, hi❤️ Thank you for your love! Your lunch sounds really interesting! Where can you get fried tofu and edamame in Germany? At normal supermarkets? It's always fascinate to know about usual meals in other countries☺️. Yeah, I can understand what you mean. For me, prepare for traveling, and cleaning up after that is the most tiring part😂. I hope you are having relaxing weekend! I gotta some errands to do now (go to a supermarket!). Bye, for now. Talk to you soon!

You are totally right! Real Beauty is in the Heart! I'm sorry that my English skills are poor and I couldn't express what Mr. Hitori wanted to say in English. He wasn't saying that only appearance is important. He was saying that both your heart and your appearance are important. I believe his point is that "we should be kind to ourselves and love ourselves."❤️
