I live in a small town 2 hours drive from Tokyo.
I’m a happy mom of two (👦🏻16 + 👧🏻10) and two cats (😺😇Picku 18.5 + 🐈 Momiji 16).

I cleaned the windows in the kitchen and the tatami room. It bothered me for a while but I pretended not notice 😅.
I once again realized the importance of recognizing and accepting the things that bother me and my shortcomings.
I cooked Chicken and Celery bowl for lunch, and curry and rice for dinner.

You showed us the robot waiter, here in Madrid there are several restaurants with robots, we prefer to be served by a real person...although I admit that robots are cute.
I loved the decorated sake bottles, we have never tried sake, but I think I would have bought a bottle to decorate at home.
We like seeing the surroundings of your town, it has a very relaxing appearance...and how nice what you told us about those who cultivate the rice fields and how everyone helps...it has to be a lot of effort, but the work you do with your family and friends is gratifying.
Surely the new freezer will be very helpful to you, we must admit that making food is a lot of effort, especially if you make several ones in the day...we every Friday write the next week's menu, so we organize the shopping and we know what to cook , the freezer helps a lot to organize the work, we have many frozen vegetables, meat,fish, chicken and especially the cinnamon rolls from Ikea, we love them....😋
I saw that you put Spy x family stickers on the freezer, I love it... during the sales last summer I bought a Spy x family t-shirt at Bershka (Zara group store) and we didn't know anything about this manga...It was love at first sight 🤩
then I already saw that Primark has some beautiful sweatshirts with the protagonist Anya, but I couldn't find my size...I have to recognize how beautiful the character designs are regardless of watching the movie...
I don't like cleaning the windows at all, I prefer to iron a mountain of clothes or clean anything else, but you have to do that task...even if you don't like it...

I am very sorry that swallows have not returned to your house...have faith, maybe a straggler couple will arrive...
In our house almost all of them have returned, there are a couple of empty nests...we think that they will be soon occupied by a young couple, the arrival of the swallows is a joy and they are messengers of good weather...
All Spanish children at school learn a poem named the dark swallows, I will put it at the end, it is from a poet of Spanish romanticism who died for love in 1870, Gustavo Adolfo Béquer.
We are calm here, the weekends are very normal, shopping, walking...by the way, JC renewed his glasses and chose some from Seiko, they were the ones he liked the most, we didn't know that Seiko, a Japanese watch brand ( or so we thought) they also made glasses...the optical staff have told us that they are very durable, let's see if it's true..🤞
And as a small novelty, I am taking an online French course, I don't have to pay anything because it is an advantage that I have from my small job... I hope to surpass my A2 level and reach a B1 but I highly doubt it 🙄 in November I will finish the experience, at least I exercise my brain, studying languages is very good for it.

The birthday cards I showed you were made by my daughter and my son.
They never forget to add Picku in the cards😂. Of course she is one of our family member forever.

I thought about removing the tray from the spot, but the swallows build their nests right at the entrance.
So, I gave up on the idea because I felt my heart would jump out of my chest if I found chicks on the ground when I went out in the morning!

Learning new language is apparently good for the brain! I've heard that Korean and Japanese have som similarities, so I'd like to learn it someday...

Now, we are on the first half of Golden week holiday, the second half will come next weekend.
We have some plans to go on small trips. I hope I can show you the first one in the next video.

Momiji always makes me smile. Pumpkin, my cat, sends greetings. She likes mayo too but I patiently explain it is not good for her. She sulks. I loved seeing the countryside in Japan. It's so beautiful. The cherry trees glowing at night--wow! Stunning! Where I am from but not where I live now we have birch trees which have white trunks. They look like ghosts in the moonlight. It seems that you and your husband came to an excellent compromise so that you do not always have to cook. I want Easter ramen!!! So cute! Today, was the last day of my semester. I'm exhausted but pleased too. This weekend I plan to sleep. I am sure I will dream of those beautiful cherry trees glowing in the moonlight. Enjoy your weekend. I've never seen birch trees in full bloom! I googled it and it looked white and very beautiful. It's bigger flowers than I imagined.

Dear Tomomo, the freezer is a great Idea for making your daily life a little easier! So there is less reason to fight with your husband :) The sandals are very cute! Yes. Some people consider complaining a sport and they want to be team captain! I've learned over the years that a complaint is like sand in oiled gears. It just slows down smooth function. Of course, we are all human so complaining I think is natural but if you let it take over your personality it does not bring along happiness.

I had joint training with my ambulance and fire department at a neighboring volunteer department. We trained on extraction techniques. So far, this week has been fairly uneventful... worked. This upcoming weekend is my weekend to work. Hopefully soon my garden will be tilled. I need to just purchase sweet potato slips yet.

@@tomomo3108 I have a 70 square meter garden this year. I plan to plant 10 sweet potato slips this year. It will be my second year of planting sweet potatoes. Also, I plant 2 other varieties of regular potatoes. 3 varieties of onions. 2 types of pumpkin. Summer and winter squash. Carrots. Radishes. Peas. Sweet corn. 2 types of melon.

I also have the same thoughts, I've been cooking and cleaning by the same dirty window and while I cleaned it last spring, it's time to do it again. ❤ My husband does help a lot, but this reminded me that I should get out of the complaint mindset. We are a team, and he did everything when I was recovering from surgery last year, I just can't help being annoyed when he and the kids don't pick up after themselves. They do at school/work, so why not at home? ❤
Yeah, I know what you mean! I also always pick up the things my family leaves behind😅. But we are trying to get out of that complaining mindset. Now, we are another team here😂. What kind of surgery did you have? Are you OK now?
@tomomo3108 I had a hysterectomy (but kept my ovaries), I had adenomyosis that caused very painful and heavy periods. I am OK now, but I do think that it might have speeded up hormonal menopause because I'm having hot flashes. It's so nice to see someone having the same thoughts and arguments sometimes, thank you.
