I have a friend who is deaf. She uses sign language interpreters in her university classes. Two girls in one class sat behind her and made fun of her all the time. One day, another friend who knows sign language went to class with her. My two friends "talked" in ASL (American Sign Language) about the bullies, laughing at them. The bullies did not like it and they never bothered my friend again. Sometimes, if we will just stand with the person who is bullied and show the bullies that the victim is not alone, it can stop the bullying. Your Christmas decorations are darling. As usual, your cats charmed me. I am a Christian so Christmas is very meaningful to me. This time of the year, the church is beautifully decorated and we have a special Christmas concert with choir and musical instruments. Christmas eve, we have a candle light service at night It's a warm and happy time before the long winter. I hope you are well. I hope your daughter is excited for each of her small gifts. It made me smile just thinking about it. I hope your cats get gifts too. I give my cat treats and a toy every Christmas. 😼
You're so right, when the bullies know the victim is not alone, they would stop bullying. Mr. Hitori says the same thing. If we find out our kids are being bullied at school, all we have to do is go to school and be around our kids all day long.
I wish I could see the Christmas decoration around your house and the church! They must be stunning! My daughter would be so excited if she could see the beautiful Christmas lights there☺️. She is enjoying to open the small advent calendar gifts every day! And I'm so glad.

We loved kitten who wants the dried bonito, you know that in Spanish we also call that fish “bonito”, and also when something masculine is pretty it is called “bonito”, I'll give you two examples, “ ese niño es muy bonito” that child is very pretty, or you have a very nice car “ tu coche es muy bonito”...curious true? 😂
How beautiful your mother-in-law's birthday celebration was, I liked seeing so much food, just like in Spain we put a lot of food in the celebrations...we like to eat.

Here in Spain the tradition of advent calendars is being introduced, although I never had those when I was little, it is something imported that is becoming established, like so many other things..

On Black Friday weekend in the supermarket the panettones were on sale...we had never seen Black Friday in food, of course we bought one... 😋by the way, you told me that you couldn't find the images of the chocolate panettone, try putting it in Google images “carrefour panettone chocolate”
This week in Spain there were two bank holidays ( day 6 is the day of the Spanish constitution, the laws that have governed us since 1978 and day 8 the immaculate conception of the virgin Mary is celebrated) so these days are special, they take the chance to put up the Christmas tree and the nativity figures at home, The birth or portal of Bethlehem is a tradition that was established in Spain by King Carlos III ( aprox, 1760) who brought it from Naples Italy (which was part of Spain at that time) and it is a tradition to put figures that represent the birth of Jesus, they are placed in the houses and in the town halls in shops...they are very beautiful.
I have it on my wish list every year to buy a Bethlehem portal by the Italian designer Alessi, but I never buy it...I can't decide because it has two models..."Presepe" and "happy eternity baby", the years go by and I don't buy none of them.
Another tradition at the beginning of December in Spain is to give a plant named “flor de Pascua” poinsettia, a plant that the custom is that you do not buy it yourself, but rather they give it to you. It is very pretty and is usually placed in offices, receptions, stores, everywhere.
Another tradition that is being lost over time is writing Christmas cards to congratulate Christmas and the New Year...I maintain that tradition...(I am nostalgic) today I have written all the ones on the list, I put Christmas stickers on the envelopes, all very nice, I usually look for a type of postcards that I really like, they are from a Spanish illustrator who has passed away, but who had beautiful illustrations, his name is Ferrandiz and if you look for him you will see that they are very endearing...I continue with tradition, although as I say it is being lost, now almost everyone sends a whatsapp.

Wow, I didn't know the Loewe collaborated with Spirited Away.
I googled it and saw many images of the products.
So cute! And I saw Suna Fujita and Loewe collab too.
I liked the rice bow one, That was very beautiful.

I knew the flor de Pascua is Christmas plant, but I didn't know you buy it and give it to someone.

We have New year cards but same...we don't do anymore, especially young people.
