Dear Tomomo, we waked up with the notice you had an earthquake and you are under a tsunami alert, from Spain, we send to you our best wishes and we hope it does not make to you all too many damages. We send you a big hugh to you and your family 🙏❤. Juan Carlos y Silvia.

      Thank you Silvia and Carlos.
We are fine because our town is far away from the ocean. Though we all Japanese are worried about people who live near the ocean. We remember that the day the huge Tsunami came in 2011.
We will help each other and survive 😍!!
Thank you so so much for your love!

¡Hola querida Tomomo! Thank you very much for your video, we liked it a lot, we were delighted to see that your kitten didn't eating the Christmas tree, you have very cute kittens although the plant incident.
I loved the hairstyle your daughter wore to school, with the Christmas decorations, she looked very pretty. 🤩
I liked the Mario Bros ceramics, I would have bought it too, it is beautiful, and what beautiful packages, you wrap the gifts very well, what a harmonious style, lovely.
How beautiful the tree ornament with the shape of a pink pig, how cute.🥰
We liked seeing how you take care of your garden, it is nice to see how the seasons pass through it.
Now I will tell you some Spanish Christmas traditions, It is a tradition to celebrate lunches or dinners in companies, bosses and employees meet in a restaurant for lunch or dinner and then the party ends in a bar or nightclub and they dance. Some ones end up somewhat harmed by alcohol 🥳 but having a good time with your colleagues in a more relaxed atmosphere is special., conclusion in Spain we like to eat and drink... Another tradition before Christmas is that in many companies they give to the workers a Christmas basket, with sweets, wines, cheeses, ham, nougat, a lot of typical things to eat in Christmas...we love this tradition, it is a detail of the bosses with the employees.
Here the children's christmas holidays begin on december 22 and end on january 7,Children have a Christmas festival in schools, singing Christmas carols and recreate the birth of Jesus.
In Spain, Christmas begins on December 22 with the most exciting lottery draw of the year, it is called “el gordo” ( the fat) It has been celebrated since 1812 and the traditional thing is to share the lottery ticket with friends, family and co-workers. The lottery show is broadcasted on television and radio and it is normal for people to follow it from work, offices, stores, on the lottery ticket there is an image of the birth of Jesus that is taken from some museum painting, religious tradition is mixed with chance and the hope that you will win a prize. The prizes are extracted from a very big drum and are sung by children, with a very special sound.
Every year a sentimental announcement is made to remind us that the most beautiful thing is to share the luck of having each other and that money is not the important thing. If you are curious you can see this year's announcement if you put these words in youtube “Anuncio Lotería de Navidad 2023 “La suerte de tenernos” [Oficial]”in the ad you will see the city of Madrid empty, because the protagonist is overwhelmed by having to organize many things for Christmas and wants to be alone and the wish comes true and she finds that it is a disaster, the nice thing is to have the opportunity thanks to the announcement to see Madrid from another perspective, without people, the best thing is to be able to see Velázquez's Las Meninas painting without tourists., maybe you like Madrid and you and your family come to visit it, It would be nice. 😍
The most special moment of Christmas in Spain is the night of the 24th, it is Christmas Eve, and we have family dinner, we put candles on the table for them that are not longer with us, but they are present in our hearts, At 12 at night Catholics go to the “misa del gallo” Midnight mass, a very special ceremony, Christmas carols are sung and the figure of the baby Jesus is kissed because he has been born.
On the 25th, a special family meal is held.
On the 28th the innocent saints are celebrated, and that day jokes are played at work, with the family, even a joke news is broadcasted on television news.
On December 31st, all people in Spain watch the Puerta del Sol clock in Madrid on television before midnight. When the last 12 chimes are ringing, we eat twelve grapes, one at a time, this is for having good luck in the new Year, It's very exciting and fun.
And the last tradition is the night of January 5, that night is the most magical of the year because the Three Wise Men from the East who adored the baby Jesus, come to the Spanish children's house and leave gifts to the children who behave well and who previously sent their letters with their wishes, if they misbehave they bring them a piece of coal.
I'm sorry for writing so much, but I hope you'll forgive me...
I hope you spend some pleasant days with your friend, I'm sure you will have a lot to talk about after 15 years.
We send you a big hug for you and your husband and children and also for the kittens, we wish you the best for 2024, lots of health and love.🤗
From Spain with love, Silvia and J.C....😘😘😘We will write to each other again next year!!!

      Hola! Silvia and Carlos🫶
Thank you so so much for sending me and my family (including my cute cats) your big love from Spain this year.
I love reading your messages all the time, and I learn a lot about Spain from you.
I watched lottery ad on UA-cam! It was very very interesting even though I didn't understand any of Spanish they spoke😂.
You have many traditions to do during Christmas time! Most of the traditions you told me are new to me.
Madrid has a lot of beautiful old buildings! I want to try to eat out and go to the museums there.
It is December 22 in Japan now, so I assume kids in Spain are officially in the winter break and they are having a great time with their loved ones.
You will be busy with your family too right?
Have a wonderful wonderful holiday and we'll talk again in the new year.
      I'm looking forward to it.
Big big love from Japan ❤️ tomomo
