What a treat! I watched the Japanese scenery part twice over my lunch break. Japan is so beautiful. I live in the Great Lakes area where the climate is lovely in the summer so I do not make plans to go away. Your investment plans sound wise. We do not do much to teach about money, sadly. Children just learn what their parents say. We do not usually give money as a gift. The exception is high school graduation and 18th birthday. We know teens will have lots of expenses going to college or moving out into their own apartment. At funerals, the family will designate a charity to which people can donate in honor of the deceased. The organization usually has a personal meaning to the person who has passed such as the American Cancer Association, their church, or a local organization. Aunts and uncles, particularly if they live far away, will put cash in a birthday card for their niece or nephew. But, mostly, people buy gifts. That is slowly changing as gift cards are easily available. Your daughter is so cute, I loved her little dance. I hope you are all well. Enjoy your summer!

Hi, Leah! I'm glad you liked the Japanese scenery.
Nice, you live in the Great Lakes area! I guess the climate around there is nice and cool.
      I miss Niagara Falls!
I've never been attended a wedding or funeral in a country other than Japan, so I find it very interesting to see the differences in rituals and etiquette in your country! Thank you for telling me about your culture.
My daughter was happy to see your comment☺️.
      She is cute.
Thank you for being a part of my ordinary life.
Looking forward to seeing you in my next video!

    ¡Hola querida Tomomo!
Thanks for the video, always great.
First of all, I hope your husband is better now.
Spring here is being somewhat rainy and a little cold...but little by little the temperature is rising.
We liked to see the recipe for leftover bread, in Spain we call that "picatostes" and we usually have them with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee with milk (we dip it in the cup...it's more enjoyable...😋)
Tell your daughter that I liked her dance... very good aptitude before school... we should imitate her 😉
Sendai seems nice and interesting, the hotel is very nice, I love seeing hotels, especially the bathrooms....the views are beautiful, spectacular, but it would make me vertigo...
In Spain Mother's Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month of May, it is impossible to forget the date because the stores are already reminding the date...you know the marketing, the money must roll...
My mother and J.C.'s mother have already passed away, my mother has gone two years ago...I would love to be able to talk to her and comment, for example Eurovision, she was a big fan and super critical of the songs,we laughed a lot, those are the details of the day by day where you realize that she is not longer, but you cannot live in sadness...
Thank you for sharing the postcards and drawings that you received for Mother's Day, I loved your daughter's drawing....beautiful.🤩
I also like the brand l´occitane en provence, they have beautiful stores and the packages are beautiful.
And the Sendai cup, I loved it...thanks for showing it.
Regarding Nisa, we had no idea about it, here in Spain we belong to the European Union, we have the single currency the euro since 2002, the euro had good and bad consequences, since 2002 there have been two very big financial crises in Spain (Since we did not have our own currency, we could not depreciate the currency and Spain was slow to emerge from the crises)
As a general rule in Spain there is a lack of financial culture, it is sad to know that many schoolchildren leave primary school without knowing how to calculate a percentage, the low economic level in banking knowledge is terrible.
For some time now, in Spain banks hardly give interest on bank deposits, many people invest in investment funds or the stock market, but you have to be knowledgeable so as not to risk the capital that costs so much to save, that is why Spain is a country in which people are very conservative and prefer to invest in apartments or houses.
Regarding money, we have been surprised that money is given when you are in the hospital or at funerals....here money contributions are made when a child is born, when someone gets married, birthdays...
I think money must be seen as something that is necessary, obviously, but that your life does not revolve around having more and more money, saving is important, because I believe that money gives you the opportunity... to be able to say yes or no depending on what things happen to you... talking about money is always complicated, don't you think so?
I liked seeing your food dance, I dance too sometimes... delicious food is happiness.☺
Vacations, this year we have not yet thought about places...I think that in June we will be able to take a short getaway through Spain, visiting some provinces near Madrid...in September I will visit the family in the north of Spain.
In Spain there are good hotels, tourism is practically the main basis of our economy, we are a very good tourist destination, especially the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, many people who live in those areas protest the large arrival of tourists, it is a very controversial topic.
Our weekends have been quiet, visiting a museum, taking walks...,In the afternoons, now with the good weather, we go for a walk in the mountains near our house, it is a place with many pine trees, from time to time we see a deer in the distance, they are very shy...nature at this time is beautiful and it is worth going to the mountains even if you have to climb many hills...😅
Do you remember I told you that I have a wish list of things I want to buy in the sales?....well, I went to a department store and fell in love at first sight with a bag, it´s on my number one on the wish list, it is a bag from a French brand called Zadig & Voltaire, the bag is white, little, it looks like a child has painted it with a colour markers and it has destroyed the bag...but I love it, but dear friend I don't love the price, it's very very expensive, about 500 euros, let's see in the sales or at the outlet...dream is free.
If you put this name in Google images, you get:
zadig and voltaire bag shopper XS Sunny #2
What do you think about the bag? do you like it? or is it horrible...🤔
We say goodbye dear Tomomo, we send you a big hug, for your husband and your children, also for Momiji, so adorable...🤗
From Madrid, with love J.C and Silvia😘😘😘

      Hola, J.C and Silvia!
Thank you for sending me a message! I enjoyed reading it.
Yes, you're right. Talking about money is complicated, but now I try to talk about it with my friends... my father... and my kids.
The other day, my daughter asked me how much I earn a month😂.
She said "May be about ¥30000 (EUR 176)?", and I answered to her "More than that".
I wasn't sure how much I could talk about it to her, so I just talked about the average annual income and average monthly income in Japan.
It's perfect season to take a walk here too!
I envy you because I think there are fewer museums here than in Europe.
      And about the bag!
      I saw the image, Silvia!
And I thought that the bag is very playful and cute❤️ I really like it.
You know that I'm a shoes person, I'd love to have white shoes with this pattern🤣.
I once read that if you buy something a little better and use it every day, you'll get your money's worth based on how many times you use it. It also said that you should think about whether it's better to buy something cheaper and use it only once a year.
(I understand that...but I like cheap shoes and clothes too...)
I hope the bag goes on sale and you can get it!
Now, it's time to prepare Sunday dinner!
Looking forward to talking with you soon❤️
      Love from Japan ♡ tomomo
PS my daughter said "Arigato (thank you)" to you!

      About getting a kitten...
yeah, my daughter really wants to have a kitten.
She has been wanting a kitten ever since PIcku was here because by the time she was born, both Picku and Momiji were already grown cats😂.
May be we will... if we meet the perfect cats!
Looking forward to seeing your caravan trips!
