    I am far too sugar addicted, to risk dipping into certain foods. I tried that when I started my journey into low carb, 9 years ago. We kept being presented with alternative products to make bread and cakes and pizza etc. My temptation talked me into believing that would be all right. Oh no it wasn't! Before long I was right back to my old ways for many months. Eventually, I got myself back on track. Nearly four years ago I tightened up the diet further and became almost totally animal based. The difference feels like it's magical! It isn't, of course, it's just the results of eating the right food for our species. A whole list of ailments have disappeared. My advise, don't deviate!

    Hmm, the Witamin C in meat was measured in the past. I believe in 1950s. They found meat do contain it but not in an Ascorbic Acid form but in a form of DHAA (Dehydroascorbic acid), oxidized and much more bioavailable form of Witamin C which can directly bypass blood-brain barrier.

    Why is olive oil beneficial for cardiovascular health? Numerous studies, although I have not personally reviewed them, along with extensive anecdotal evidence, support this claim. While I personally do not incorporate olive oil into my diet due to my carnivorous lifestyle, I am genuinely curious about this apparent contradiction.

    My MD was concerned about vit C (no symptoms, but since im carnivore, he talked about scurvy lmao) and got me tested, and my results show <3,0 µmol/l for vit C, marked as deficient on the test. Im taking a vitC supplement but Im not sure its useful tbh, idk what to do.

    • @fabioriato
      @fabioriato День тому

      It's "deficient" because that number is based on an average of people living on standard diets. They need more vit. C. Like Richard said in the video, our need for vit. C as carnivores is much lower. I wouldn't worry much about that test result.

    • @rebeccabriggs2982
      @rebeccabriggs2982 10 годин тому

      The more carbs you eat (especially from grains, legumes) the more vitamin c you need because the body is constantly trying to repair itself. Many meats contain vitamin c, you can Google about that and include some.

      Yes, as found in meat and eggs. If you need more fat, eat fattier meat. Shouldn't need to add extra fat. About 20-25% fat is right for most people.

      @@TheTimutubejust take that into account when figuring how much total fat you eat. You can get up to 80% of your calories from fat (even 90% for some people) and be fine. If you prefer to take your fat mostly in coffee that shouldn’t be a problem.
