After 40 years Vegetarian…Finally woke up early 2023,now close to Carnivore. Recently learned that the ‘Vegetarian’ diet only started in the late 1800’s by the 7th day Adventist ,who felt plants were more ‘pure’!!
I was vege/vegan for nearly a decade. Whilst I was on that diet I was depressed and constantly exhausted. I was fat and skinny at the same time. Since introducing small amounts of animal products I started to improve untill I got immune caused arthritis. Over the last 4 years I've reduced the veges and increased eggs, beef, dairy, tallow, and lard. My inflammation has reduced and I'm running further and faster, muscle growth has exploded. I'm fitter and stronger now at 45 than I was in my vege 20s!
Well done, Richard! Mutton is the best for the reason you gave! I keep a small flock of a rare breed sheep called "Portlands". Their mutton is highly prised! Slow cooked is fabulous 👌🏻
As usual, Rich goes on his long rant, leaving his guest speaker wandering if he will ever get a chance to do the interview. Thanks Rich you're a legend Brother :)
Pork in many regions of Poland is much more popular and obviously cheaper than beef. It is also much tastier than pork in UK and I am not sure why. I am carnivore for last 17 months. I can't eat uk pork as it causes me stomach issues. Edit: pork I tasted in UK was from supermarket and I know local butchers sell pork of superior quality.
Exactly my thoughts about the pork in the UK! I get bad feeling after eating it more than a couple of slices of bacon. Pork in Estonia is so much tastier and fatter, too.
You could look into it. Maybe pigs are reared more naturally in Poland. The premium pork in the UK is costly. You may even have real bacon, without the white slime that's found in UK stuff.
I’ve finally dropped 2/3s of my whole grain and legumes from my previously whole food plant predominant diet. I replaced it with more meat and non starchy veg (I don’t want to go full cold turkey just yet). It’s only been 7 days, and the last 6 days of those are the first time I haven’t had 3-5 loose bowel movements a day (and not being confident in being able to pass wind). I’m optimistic.
I am walking evidence of more meat and dairy 50 years old 4 years ago High blood pressure feeling terrible in my body Inflamed stomach brain fog weak Nightmares bloating Panic attacks Extremely low heart rate. 33-35 every night Stopped nuts seed oils. Pop Vegetables and bread Ate eggs. Grass fed butter Lots of meat turkey chicken but mostly eggs and red meat Everything went away 4 years later I work out stronger. Heart rate back up to high 40 s Blood pressure back to normal and stomach issues gone I have nothing to gain saying it but going carnivore saved my Life and my mind
I’ve seen a conference on the tubes for applying to become a Blue zone. I thought it sounded amazing but this was when I first started looking at my health. And yes you pay for it in the millions but the whole town needs to follow their guidelines.
Have you tried low and slow cooking? Like you would for oxtail or beef cheeks? I love rare steak, but some cuts of meat need a long, low-temp treatment.
@ yeah I do that for a broth, I like it but not as much as rare and I don’t absorb as much. I’m guessing you know how I can tell that I don’t absorb as much of the meat.
Tough meat is much better for your jaw. We don't eat enough tough foods these days leading to receding jaws small mouths without enough room for all the teeth and tongue causing rises in things like sleep apnea, narrowed airways, glue ear, etc.
@ you telling me, my son drives me nuts about the meat I give him being to tough. Yet his meat is way more tender and price shows it. He’s too used to the super tender meat we eat at our favorite Yukiniku restaurant
7th Day Adventists don’t drink alcohol, smoke or use other drugs like caffeine. Good social circles. Not surprisingly, they live to a good age. Buetner added Singapore and sold to SDA’s
Rich while we don’t agree with some of what Salad boy preachers have you spoken to him before? If so or if you ever do could you ask him about Puerto Rico and if he has done any research in the history of the areas diet?
Is carbondioxid really bad for the environment? Yes we can see that CO2 rise when it gets warmer but what is driving? In every report i read since ”an inconvenient truth”2006 it is the heat that makes the CO2 to rise and not the other way…
There are several food blogs from people travelling Okinawa on UA-cam, showing restaurants, food markets etc. You can watch them yourself and decide whether Dan Buettner must be blind or a fkn liar 😡
I think he could be talking about the Amish community who live long lives and eat meat. I think I've heard them before compared to Moma Linda when it comes to diet. But you also could be right.

Another awesome interview.

Mutton is likely more nutrient dense than lamb having had more time eating grass.

If you buy pork from a butcher, rather than from the supermarket, you can get excellent pork.
Supermarket pork is low quality in the UK but there are people raising traditional breeds on proper diets and the pork from those places is delicious.

It only gets better and better.
Stick with it.

Excellent video. Thanks.
Thank you Richard ! Such interesting studies !
I lived in Redlands California, which is right around the corner from Loma Linda and I did the Loma Linda diet for a year and I gained 100 pounds
I eat mainly mutton as it’s the most affordable meat I can get. I love the taste but tough because I eat it very rare

It Is sad but in Italy also local farmers use grains for animals, I have no chance to buy grassfed meat.
A centurian was a Roman soldier, leader of 100. I think you meant centenarians, people living past age 100.
Centurion….
Is carbondioxid really bad for the environment?

In every report i read since ”an inconvenient truth”2006 it is the heat that makes the CO2 to rise and not the other way…
I think he may be referring to the Mormons, as Dr. Chaffee mentioned as the population/religious sect that paralled the SDA's in terms of good health

Wilful blindness i suspect…
The Amish community's diet I think has been compared to Moma Linda
Mormans similar to Melmelinda

@ if it was Anthony Chaffee it’s Mormons, I remember clearly as I was a baptized Morman.
