For me, going cold-turkey carnivore has done amazing things for my health. I too, eat to live. So far, I have not missed anything that I have given up. My thought is why put something back that was possibly or actually causing harm? There is no benefit to that. For several years I was trying to eat a clean healthy diet and was eating a lot of salads ( eat the rainbow) and would make a green smoothie, walnuts flax and chea seeds kale spinach cinnamon turmeric and a little fruit, banana or apple. I developed nasty eczema, for over a year both arms and legs got raw and weeping itching and burning and sun exposure would burn. Dermatologists didn’t help at all and said diet had nothing to do with it? Started on carnivore and within a week it seemed I was starting to heal. For the next couple weeks my skin peeled off like a snake and bye a month it was like I had new skin. Amazing 😊
Thank you for sharing! It is fascinating how much of an impact diet has. Unfortunately there are a lot of "specialists" in their areas that don't take other factors into consideration, and diet is such a controversial topic these days with so much different information out there that some "experts" will argue opposite to the facts because they are either misinformed in their learning or have alternate reasons for keeping the facts hidden - Ryan, Keto-Pro Team
Over a year on Carnivore with no more Eczema, I am not sure as I never had much skin problems and always ate carbs but when I increased the ( healthy food) for a couple years my skin got worse and worse. Also I have learned that most of those super healthy foods are loaded with Oxalates that can build up in all body tissue and cause all sorts of problems and unfortunately can take years for your body to get rid of?

Can u do video discussing fat amount to eat ?? I want to lose weight so not sure how much dietary fat to consume .. I see people eating like sticks of butter ?? But then I hear if want lose fat don’t eat lot fat ???
Hi there Donna, I will certainly suggest this video idea to Richard, it is a question I hear quite often. What I tend to advise people when it comes to the amount of fat to eat is this. Do not stress too much about how much or little fat you should eat on a Keto/Carnivore diet, just do not fear eating it. Your main priority is your protein intake, which you will almost certainly achieve following a keto/carnivore lifestyle, as without carbs your only other macronutrients are going to be made up of either proteins and fats. So if you focus on that, the fat intake should come naturally. If you feel like eating the fat on your steak for example, do it, if you don't, don't. It is all about what is sustainable for you. When become fat adapted, you will be using fat and ketones as a source of fuel for your body all while keeping your insulin levels stable. Some people do indeed eat sticks of butter or chuck a bunch in their coffee and so on. But it isn't something you have to do. Most people will find it perfectly fine just consuming the fats that come with the meats or whatever you cook your food in. I hope this helps answer your question a little - Ryan, Keto-Pro Team
I agree its crazy how dr chaffee can go so pure lion, little to no salt, and im pretty sure he doesnt even do electrolytes, and hes huge!! personally i got the worsy cramps THE WORST CRAMPS EVER! Even tho i was using electos and salt daily
On the Flex or Not Flex Question: Perhaps? Flex with carbs if your bodyfat % is below X%. ?Maybe 10%?12%? Alternatively, flex on holidays. Or seasonally flex: maybe in the fall, before hibernation. lol
Probably because we don't drink water coming from the earth anymore. And the herbivores aren't eating grasses grown in mineral rich soil anymore. That said, not all carnivores eat salt, much less take an electrolyte. Dr. Chaffee says he is in that camp.
I agree, but its usually just duri g the keto flu time... although i take them daily... besdies keto, every human on earth needs them but only athletes use them
Most people I’ve heard say that electrolytes are usually only necessary during the transition-adaptation phase. Cells shunt water during the initial transition.
@@pdxoregon1 And maybe it's just the sheer number of You tube carnivores that sell electrolytes that confuses me. Carnivore for over 15 years myself, testing what no salt added diet does for me. As I've heard that in the addition of salt creates imbalances in minerals, that even an ounce of read meat has enough dietary sodium,, that herbivores seek out salt due to the lack of sodium in plant material. Don't know if all that IS true or not.
Hi Davey, Thanks for watching. A ketogenic/carnivore diet however, is not the Atkins diet. Atkins diet still has you consuming carbohydrates and the unwanted nasties that they contain, slowly introducing more carbs as you go along in their 4 phases. A keto/carnivore diet is about eliminating these completely, avoiding harmful things such as lectins and other unwanted contents. It is focused on health and bringing the body into the natural state that we are born in, as much as many use it as a tool for weight loss. - Ryan, Keto-Pro Team
Most think stevia and erythritol sweeteners are fine. The other sweeteners might spike blood sugar despite supposedly not being digestible. If that is your only "sin" on a carnivore diet, you're doing great! You will probably dump it eventually, being healthy really changes thought patterns.
Hi Thomas, It all depends. As someone mentioned in a reply to your comment, it depends what is in the drink you are consuming. Some people will have stevia and erythitol, whereas some will not have them as they technically come from plants and not animal sources.
