Another podcast that belongs on my top shelf, I have supported and followed Richard Smith’s Y.T content for a while now, some of it sounds repetitive because the same questions are being asked, having said that, he is consistent with his answers, the more I listen to this guy, the more I am impressed with him. Bravo…… 👌🏽🥩😎
Thank you Craig! The main thing is you caught it! I will pass your message on to Rich, and thank you as always for the support! - Ryan, Keto-Pro Shop Team
I'm really enjoying learning from your videos and I can't believe you have so few views😢 People are seriously missing out because, IMO, you are providing some of the best info out there👍👍👍 Thank you Rich, much appreciated!
Oh my, I loved this till the vitamin D bit. Vitamin D cholecalciferol is a photosynthesis that occurs only in epidermal cells on 7dehydrocholesterol that reside there, and only with UVB + heat, synthesis of cholecalciferol may be able to be made, it is a mechanical molecular configuration change. Remember " If your shadow is longer than you are, you won't be able to make vitamin D at all". Simply look at shadows, if they are the same length, or shorter, then it is vitamin D time.
Thank you for watching! That is very interesting, I will have a look into this myself (I am not Richard^ in the video). Interesting concept with the shadows, I am assuming this has something to do with the positioning of the sun and UV light. (if it's a mechanical molecular config change), which would explain why there would be less production, during the winter months etc, interesting! - Ryan, Keto-Pro Shop Team
One of the rarer ones capable of self thought! 🙌🙌 Not tarring all with the same brush, but many out there that do not have knowledge further than basics taught to them! Thank you for watching and commenting - Ryan, Keto-Pro Shop Team
❓❓❓❓❓❓The body may make all the sugar or glucose it needs in a carbohydrate depleted state, but many represent that this will be at a significant downside cost, such as chronic elevation in stress hormones and/or lean mass loss, as well as other hormonal implications. The bioenergetic folks such as Jay Feldman and Mike Fave discuss this in depth, and can be found here on youtube. I'm sure they would be open to this much needed, and I would say, inevitable discussion. 🙂
They are wrong, though. The only stress comes when glycogen is running low, and insulin is still just elevated enough to limit the lipolysis of fat for energy. This is the stress people are measuring without considering insulin. Once the insulin returns to its baseline, there is no stress as energy is abundant.
@@darkfieldcarnivore3928 Well, this is interesting and does make sense. I've actually never heard this stress issue explained like this before. I myself, and also a friend of mine, have really had a awful time attempting to adapt to keto-carnivore. We've had terrible and incomprehensible stress responses. We've both come from very long term high carb backgrounds. Still, it would be interesting to hear Richard and Jay Feldman discuss this in a friendly debate. I really do appreciate your explanation. Thank you! 🙂
@@jim5jim5jim5 I just saw your comment. It’s June 2024. If you are still interested in more about the stress response during the adaptation phase, you might check out Coach Stephen’s Description of his experience with “priming.” he is the “UK Carnivore” on UA-cam. The basic idea of priming is to eat more carnivore nutrition than you think you need for the first month to 12 weeks . Basically three meals a day plus snacks. No coffee before breakfast. This is supposed to give your body so many nutrients and such a feeling of abundance that it will not start stressing when reducing the number of meals or increasing intensity of workouts, etc. I learned about this protocol in “steak and butter gang’s” coaching program.
@@pdxoregon1 Thank you for your response. I am currently trying to adapt to keto carnivore again. I will check out your coach UK Carnivore recomendation. Also, I may join up with the "Gang" once again. I really do appreciate your response! 🙂
