I've spent this week repairing mine with a few "Hot" motors I've dug out of hibernation especially for this competition. @@PeteWylieRC Hi Pete, I sneaked this 2nd run in after I mangled that off side rear wheel along with the rear bodyposts but I've sorted those out now. And added a CW-01 upside down wheelie bar hoping to keep it on its wheels and not the roof 👍

@@theoagrc Hi Craig, the weather has been rotten everywhere so you'll have plenty of time to get a run in on a dry day as soon as you can. The last day of the competition is August 31st 2024 so I think you've got about 7 weeks ish for Derek to stretch those legs of his 👍👍👍

@@RCMadUK the only kit build I did was when I converted a G6-01 chassis to RWD for a Kamtec Ford Capri 1/8th scale shell to fit onto. I do a lot of builds for other people but they don't want me to show their builds for general viewing which would give me plenty of content for my channel but as it is their wish, I abide by their rules. I am building another G6-01 but making it 4WD and 4WS only using DT-02 lower arms front and rear. Should turn out OK, I hope 👍

@@cw-01creations46 Nah mate,I'm thinking mid to low twenties on our first run with the suoerstock rz? 23mph ish?? We pulled an all nighter Wednesday and got it built (loving that ESC you got moo moo by the way!) Unfortunately the pinion gears I ordered don't fit.....so it's guna be at least another week or so before we are even able to get a run in. I need to find a minute to re order the correct size on Monday,which won't be here in time for the Wednesday that we wanted to run. We will get there in the end buddy. Liking the dto2 chassis though,those are some of the best performing pogo sticks I've ever seen..... they actually dampen very well! So hang tight a bit longer mate! 😁 👍 👍 👍

@@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC you need a 0.8 mod hard alloy pinion. The standard kit supplied aluminium pinion will do for a start until the steel one arrives through the post. At least then you will get off the start line for your first run 👍

@@cw-01creations46 Cheeky!! 😝 We won't be at the bottom I hope mate. I've got two bodies built for it, and have literally just this minute ordered a 19t pinion from flea bay.. Still waiting for Wayne and waynetta to be free for an evening to build it. My 120amp hobby wing esc that we were going to use is hard wired onto a brushless motor in my RC10 ready for the time trials. Is that esc you gave moo moo capable of running a 12 turn brushed motor do you think? 🤔 Was thinking of using that esc instead perhaps, but I'm not familiar with it's specifications/limits? Going with the 23 turn superstock RZ first, then Moos 15 turn, and finally the 12 turn one we have..... potentially then maybe increasing to a 22t pinion for a final attempt. We will be late to the party as always, but hopefully should provide some entertainment with our convertible holiday buggy driven by Mr Hanky the speed run poo! 💩 😂 👍 👍 👍

@@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC As Churchill would say, "Oh Yes". The ESC I donated to you will take an 11t minimum brushed motor and is 2s/3s compatible so you are all good to go with that puppy 👍 That brand name is OCDay and I've got a few brushed and brushless set-ups from that company. The ESC is the same as the Hobbywing 1060 so I know its a tried and tested unit that does the job you want it to do. I run all of my 15t cars on that ESC and I've got a proper fast jobby using a 12t brushed on that particular ESC as well. Like I say, tried and tested. I can swap it for a Hobbywing if you would prefer that, brand new in a box, still got the Cellophane on it with a deans plug. I wouldn't give you any Micky Mouse shit as its what I use for all of my builds ✌️

Obviously the ESC is at their place and I didn't know anything about it, or know it's name to be able to do any research into it's specifications! @@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC Absolutely 100% correct on that statement, I think Robs first run was just testing the waters and giving us all the laughs that we needed and it will be a battle between Uncle Bob and McRob McBrennan for 1st place. RCMadUk will give the rest of us a run for our money with his 5900kv set-up smashing Young Pete Wylie into 3rd place.. It's getting pretty exciting all this racing malarkey, isn't it? 👍

I was thinking about sending one to Bob whilst uploading this and then I thought that you might have another crack of the whip to be a worthy contender as I can't win my own competition but I'll have a bloody good go at it to see what can be achieved from the standard spur gear in the gearbox. If 3D printing were allowed, our names would be at the bottom of that list and we Brits can't be having any of that nonsense now, can we? It's got to be a fully progrmmed ESC, 22t pinion and 6600kv or 7700kv brushless setup to get into the 70's+ mph range with some sort of wheelie bar so it doesn't flip over when you give it the full beans 🤔 🤔🤔 somewhere in that region at least to be in with a chance and a clear road that stretches as far as the eye can see with no real cars on it might help as well. That just leaves the motorway during roadworks season 😜😝😆
