Hi there Frank and thanks for another awesome display of some of your collection of fantastic hard bodies! I had no idea that you had so many! Hard to pick a favourite from this bunch but I think I'd lean towards the Fords. Something about their racing heritage just draws me to them as I remember watching them with my Dad at RAC rallies over the years. Fond memories of Roger Clarke and the other greats. Anyway mate, looking forward to seeing what else you got and hopefully some tips of how to cut and paint 'em! Cheers! 🍺😎👍
Cut & Paint & Fitting tutorial coming up after part 4 as part 3 is more bodyshells that are just itching to be built. I did say I had loads of shells and you've only seen 16 so far 👍👍👍
Iol Peter you have more bodies on show then a nudist beach lol some cracking shells again these look awesome! Some great details especially the Austins!

Hi James, I was trying to keep all of the marquees together but it never goes the way I had planned so I've just shown them all as they sit in their boxes on the shelves. I've saved the rest for part 3 and the replacement shells for part 4 😝🤣😆
@cw-01creations46 lol l look forward to part 3,4 then, l can't believe the details in these bodyshells are they priced well? I fancy getting a couple to paint up just for the pleasure! Are they difficult to cut mate and do you use primers and what paints?? I am shocking at that cutting business!

Hi Addam, the first 6 are British cars, 4 Austins from the 60's, 2 Fords from the 70's, 1 Chevy from your homeland and 1 German car, the loveable VW Beetle Hotrod 👍
Hi Peter, some more great bodies, the Austin Cambridge, A40 and Westminster, oh I remember the Cambridge and A40’s. The Mk1 Escort in either the Mexico or RS200, would look great. I love the Mk2 Escort and oh yes remember the series Minder, oh happy days 😂😂 the awesome Camero, that look cool and that VW Bettle Hotrod, that’s going to look amazing. Lots of great detailing for you to get creative and show us your awesome skills , you’re certainly going to be a while in the body shop ! 😂😊😊take care and best wishes my good friend. 😊😊
Hi John, I thought a variety of shells would be different for part 2 otherwise I would have groups of car manufacturers, e.g : Austin, Ford, VW, Chevrolet, Rover, Lada, Bedford a.k.a Vauxhall, Morris.

Hi Rob, I think that people in our age group would remember these older vehicles and as there are not a lot of these around any more, I think it would be fantastic to bring them all to life for the future generations to admire in a smaller RC scale.

Hello young Peter. Sorry I am rather behind with my video viewing but I got here in the end! Anyway, what an assortment of cool bodies you have there. Should keep you out of trouble for a while. I didn't remember Terry Maccann having an Escort in Minder. Obviously we see him buying the Capri at the start of each episode. Loving the idea of turning it into a Mexico, that would look sweet.
What tooling do you usually use to cut them out mate?
I was also wondering about the windows.... obviously no window decals to play with so I'm guessing you paint them in?
Was wondering about the potential of cutting out the windows and using clear lexan mounted on the inside?
I would imagine cutting out all the hard plastic window areas would be extremely difficult, and would perhaps loose all the shells structural rigidity? 🤔
Bumble bee idea is fun.... although I'm still bummed by the fact that they changed him in recent years.
Back in the day he was a VW beetle in the original series..... hate it when they mess with things! 😂

Hi James, the mk1 Escort is also a favourite of mine having owned several different models across the range at the same time. The Estate was the best for lugging spares around in and the Van was excellent for the odd night out parked outside a warehouse 🤔😉😷 (wink!wink!)
I just use a small pair of curved lexan scissors when trimming the shell out and if I cut the windows out, I then use a modelling knife and then a file to shape them correctly.
You Are correct, there is a chance that the A, B & C pillars will snap if the shell lands on its roof (which I will show you in Part 4)
Bumblebee is a different kettle of fish. I'm going to use the Z28 as the basis for the project as it is an American classic and I've got a different route to go down for the trio of Beetles.
I don't think somehow that the '57 Chevy Bel-Air would look anything like Bumblebee, do you?

Hello! I'd just like to say, if I may interrupt, that I have done this. I painted a standard Kamtec Escort she'll purple with twin white pinstripes, cut out the windows and glazed them in lexan - well, clear food packaging. But I put it on an M-06 chassis as I was after av scale look. And it's on UA-cam so you can see my carefully made 'workshop' set where the Escort gets dynoed.
It comes up if you type "Del350K4 Ford Escort"..
Apologies to Peter for hijacking his comments section for a shameless plug.
And yes, the structure can easily take having the windows cut out! I've done it on off-roaders too, and rolled them lots coz I'm better at building them than at driving them.

I did, however, just watch that old video, and find that I used an arched Escort shell, and only did one pinstripe. That'll teach me not to just blindly trust my memory!
