That Capri body fits snug and flush on that chassis in perfect alignment with the wheels!
Great job sir, that's some truly creative thinking there.
Must say I was most impressed with your attention to detail, the tidy wiring and that quality aeriel fixture just finished that chassis off to perfection. 👌
Loving the fact your having a little roo about whilst at work! 🤣
The Capri body shell is a timeless design, that's aged like a fine wine.
Ford's from this period had true character, and unique styling.... something that sadly we will never see again.
My old man had a purple Capri many, many moons ago (long before they created me!) .... I remember him telling me of how he custom made fake leather trim for the interior panels, and also how there was a rust hole in the drivers footwell that you could see the road through!
Quite excited to see where you go with the body shell regarding paint scheme.
Personally I think one of those retro 70s tones would look so cool.

At this stage of the build process, it is time to give it a shakedown run to address any teething issues and apart from a noisy pinion not quite meshing properly I thought it did exceedingly well.
Bump Stops for the shocks were also fitted so as to not ruin the arches with the "Bodie&Doyle" driving style 😎
My workplace has become a good testing ground for everything I have built 👍

As soon as I saw the car with the body shell in place I understood how much better it'll look with the smaller, further-forward body posts. The snug fit of the shell is amazing - better by far than I had dared to hope.
I must say that it's impressive that you had the vision to realise in advance what a winning combination this chassis and this body could make!

Hi Del, thank you for tuning in 👍 I'm really pleased that I was able to turn my memories into an actual working RC car.
I had the "light bulb" moment when I was building my King Yellow (School Bus) and thought to myself, "I wonder if my 8th scale Capri shell would fit on this chassis?" 🤔

Hi Pete 👋 thanks for watching 👍 yes, the body needs a dash of fettling around the edges and the meshing from the pinion needs addressing but other than that, "It's Alive" 🤘

Peter this takes me back to the first time l saw the Lancia Rally back in the 80s and loved the shape of it and this looks spot on too my friend and can't wait to see it painted!!
