Hi Gerrard, nicely done my friend! Great to see the use of the SS hardware, you know I'm a fan of those, and definitely a hop-up from those crappy screw pins, I HATE them!!! Great idea about how to alter the wheelbase, too. Nice to see you had Allen to help with the build! Love the body shell, it's gonna look mean with those big wheels underneath it! Thankyou Trevor for a fantastic comment 👏 did you know, that in the M-05 build manual, Tamiya actually explain how to shorten the wheelbase from 239mm to 210mm for FWD shells, and I thought I would apply that technique to my build but the other way round seeing as I'm not using any driveshafts to go into the front axle. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner 🍽 😋

That front A-Arm swap is brilliant! I'm going to try it on me "Prison Bus" (Big Yellow) Hopefully it will work with the front Driveshafts...

I remember, years ago, my mate coming into the pub with a grey face. It turned out that his beloved Mk II Capri had just done a perfect 360° on a damp road. He just changed down and carried on, but by the time he pulled up the shock had set in.

@@Del350K4 I always wanted a Capri after I had several mk1 Escorts followed by mk2 Escorts but ended up with a few Cortina mk2 1600E's instead. I remember swapping my Vauxhall Viva HB GT for a Cortina mk3 1600GT and it was the worst decision I had ever made 😫

Hiya mate. Well that is shaping up really well and the Capri body is going to look epic. I'm very interested to find out how this long chassis with 2wd will handle and I guess I'll find out at some point. I'm wondering if you could have got a CW-01 or WR-02 chassis and put something in the middle to get the long chassis for that body although I guess that the G6-01 should be nice and solid. Again well done for doing a build video in real time. I would never dare as too many cock up's! Best wishes mate and hopefully catch up soon 😁👍

Hi Pete, thank you for a lovely comment 😊 I wanted to use a solid chassis that roughly used the same wheelbase as the Capri shell and the G6-01 suited perfectly, give or take a couple of mil but once you remove the arches from the shell, it lines up just about right. The big wheels look just right for this shell 👍

Awesome video Peter!!! Love the hex hardware too, is that all SS (you might have said in the first video but I forget)? Oh great body shell choice, curious, is that ABS or lexan and how does one go about painting a white body? I seen that type on EvilBay, and those say abs plastic... Hi Uncle Bob, yes they are all stainless steel and you are correct again, the bodyshell is indeed 1mm ABS. These shells can be painted on the outside using Tamiya TS spray cans or automotive spray paints. I use a grey Primer as a base coat and then a couple of tons of top coat followed by a clear lacquer. I will be filming every part of this build including the paintjob and decal sheet of choice 😀

No Sir, I did not. I purchased the bodyshell from a company in the UK called Kamtec Models. They export worldwide 👍
