Hi Mads, the good news is that YOU are at the top of the leader board with 24mph in the brushed category so in theory, you have set a benchmark time for the other competitors to beat 👍 You will laugh your socks off when you watch my speed run effort which didn't quite go according to plan....woops!!

@@JoevsRc You're more than welcome to join in. I have Capped the voltage to 2s lipo max only making it fair for everyone to enter as not many people have a 3s + size battery. Other than that, you can watch the latest video on my channel so you know where you want to be on the leader board 👍 Currently, Uncle Bob is wiping the floor with everyone 🤣😆😄😝

Bring it on, we may well have just 'aquired' a holiday buggy as it goes. Not got any previous experience with this platform, but have heard good things about it. We had better get our fingers out and start building haven't we? I think Taylor and Moo moo can build the chassis, and I will do the painting and decals..... as I can't trust either of them two with a paintbrush! Infact, I can't trust Taylor with anything, other than cooking food! 😂 I'm still fancying going brushed, but the others seem to want to go brushless..... let's see what happens eh mate? 😉 👍 👍 👍
Welcome aboard Team Greenies 👍 You won't be able to get any paint to stick properly on the bodyshell because it is made from polyethylene but you can probably get it wrapped in vinyl or just use another shell 🤘
@@cw-01creations46 Cheers Peter! Yes mate, I had heard people say that about this body shell. We will be leaving the actual body itself as it is, just painting the detailing (petrol can, cockpit and driver, lights etc) Not quite sure what to do about the roof section as yet! Hopefully be sticking with brushed motors, and hope to be able to keep it in one piece, unlike last year's tto2 speed challenge! 😂 👍 👍 👍

Hi Glenn, funny you say that cos I only dusted mine off when I filmed my DT-02 at my work where I mentioned about the Speed Competition. My own Speed runs haven't exactly gone to plan as you will see in the next video or two... Woops-a-daisy 😝🤣😆
Lay the law down Peter!!!!! But anyone using 3S lipo or larger will always be faster the the guy using 2S, or a guy/girl using 12 cell over 7 cells (NiMh).. I think a cap on how many cells should be at play here also, and NO TAPED UP lipo packs, cause its not hard to put a soft case 3S lipo into a 2S hard case and (with 2S balance wires glued in) and say, "See, it's a 2S lipo pack". You sir have some major coin you dropped down for this and I hate to see a cheater win by cheating... I say limit the power source to 3S max and/or an 8 cell NiMh pack. If lipo is used, the "beeps" must be heard in the video as the contestant turns on his/her gear.... Just my 2 cents....
My dt-02 has arrived, its second hand and built and I’m just checking the spur gear. I know this has to be standard. How many teeth does the standard one have? Do you know?
@@thebandit1974 The stock spur is an off-white-ish colour , if that's of any good to you. You could always count the teeth but I don't know of any other coloured spur gears available for the DT-02 gearbox 👍

Oh my, I don't think I break any rules with my DT-02. This ought to be a riot. Edit: How would be best to record one's speed if they don't have one of those fancy GPS things for the RC? I might be able to shove an old phone in mine, I've used one in the past to clock my Stadium Blitzer, but not too sure if I can find the room in the Sand Viper.
Hello My friend, good question about the recording of speed to which I have absolutely no answer for... The last thing you want is to strap your phone on the outside and then flip it over, like your Stadium Blitzer, (Cool Vid👍) I think it is something you will have to try and work out. Maybe lots of elastic bands 🤔
@@cw-01creations46 Thankfully I have a lot of random old Android phones to sacrifice, but I think I've figured out how to get one nicely secured so even if I do flip, it should survive. Velcro it to the battery and run it under the strap I have in there. When it flew out of the Blitzer it was just wedged in, I don't even think my electronics were strapped down with anything. I've since learned my lesson. I was actually considering doing my runs naked, but looking at the car without a body on my bench just felt wrong. My bits box had what I believe is the rear mount for another DT-02 body, Holiday Buggy if I were to guess. That and a bent post extension on the front and the Blitzer's stadium truck body fits nicely. Plus a little more velcro to keep the sides from flapping and the body straight. Embrace the velcro.
@@K-Anator That sounds like a good idea as you don't want any LiPo fires to happen along the way. Strap everything down. SuperGlue and Velcro work wonders for me followed by Gaffa Tape and then Cable Ties (Zip Ties). Whatever you do, make sure you don't scare your neighbours by running naked as the last thing they need is a heart attack. Some sort of covering on your chassis might help with the airflow. My next vid will show you how to crash in style...........🤔🤔🤔
@@cw-01creations46 Haha, can't wait! I wish I got my last crash on film. The neighbour's kid had some little action figure that's hands were perfectly formed to hold on to my strut brace on the front shock tower. I got a little wild and managed a cartwheel that blew apart my glue job on the front tower and the rear c-hub that was tacked back together with some PLA from a 3D printing pen. I had a very floppy Sand Viper. I really ought to order a new c-part tree one of these days. There isn't much left of that car that's original, just the chassis, gears, and arms.

@@thebandit1974 When you remove the 3 screws for the cover, it should be moulded on the outside face : 55.
It's the same as the DT-03 gearbox ✔️
