Hi Dirk, thanks for watching 👍 The brushless setup in this 30+ year old design is a bit too much and should really just be used for the grass or beach so a gentle run in the warehouse will have to do for now 😀

Hi Mark, thanks for watching 👍 I didn't think about changing the tyres over until I took the car out of the holdall so I gave it a gentle testing out just to make sure that everything works as it should 👍

The distinctive whine of an ORV big wheeler gearbox, and the echoey drone of the spiked chevrons on a flat surface..... Delightful buddy! 😊
The good old monster beetle is one of my all time faves, and my go to runner at any given chance!
Infact, the ORV is one of my most favourite platforms full stop....I've got a lot of love for the blackfoot and mud blaster to!
Yours looks great out there Peter, couldn't think of a better way of spending your lunch break at work.
Of course, with the added bonus of having somewhere both dry, and well lit..... something that is extremely hard this time of year!
Surprisingly, mine didn't do great around our circuit, the tires were totally bald though.... got some new rubbers on the rear so potentially time to give it another chance?!
Taylors got pneumonia at the moment, and moo moo has covid.....
Myself and Daz managed to take a few cars around the figure of eight last week but it was impossible -
absolutely no traction as it was way too wet!
We did film it though, my Fazer mk2, and his XVO1 and king blackfoot.... hopefully Taylor will be able to edit it up after Xmas and get it out.
After Xmas as soon as the weather drys out a tad we will try and sort out a Sunday evening to meet up mate.

Hi James, thanks for tuning in 👍 This is the 1st time I've taken this beast out since building it a couple of years ago and it certainly does perform well if you slow down before you want to turn as it rolled over after I filmed it!!

Yep, they are certainly prone to the odd tumble when the tires are good.... One of the reasons I drove with mine so bald for so long, it made it much easier to flip the rear end out without the tires digging in and causing it to roll..
Still, probably more stable than the CWO1 platform either way.
Most interested in seeing your new ORV creation dude.... I actually put a polycarbonate e46 m3 body on mine once, it was shocking how much better it handled with a lower center of gravity, lighter as well which made it faster!
Yeah man, works choka block this end to, only got Xmas day and boxing day off..... and currently plodding through the boring task of hand writing 200+ Xmas cards to all of my customers.....making it more bearable by having a few strong ciders and rc content on in the background.
Think you will find the next episode of tescos time trials entertaining to say the least, my efforts with the fazer mk2 on 3s was hysterical..... worst time ever recorded-
Hit 6 Kurbs, Dazs car, a shopping trolley, and nearly run myself over to!!! 😂 😅

I do love a nice red Monster Beetle, and I must say that the colour of the window mesh stands out beautifully against the red.
It has a nice stance too, tall and proud but not so tall that it gets all wobbly when you turn.

That sound so reminds me of back in the day when we raced in our local town hall in the winter months at our Sunday race club! We raced Mardave minis too! But the tamiya's made that lovely sound! He eats good, still wants to play, I think the cancer is just eating him away, it's killing me... Jen found his papers last night also, he will be 12 on the 21st of this month.
