My preference is the Dewat’s 21! I’m not usually a lover of blends but this is lovely! Far preferable to the other. It’s not bad but not as good as the Dewar’s!! Terrific video!!

You guys missed the point of Sandend... it is the first Single Malt Scotch (that I'm aware of) to have notes of tropical fruit with salinity.

I'm flying to Glasgow in about a month and I plan on bringing back this one from the airport. I think in Aberlour know how to craft good whisky when they want, sadly the really good ones are hard to reach.

It's a mix of the species of oak, the density of the oak, and the density is due to the weather/moisture levels there. So you're spot on with what makes this so good! They say ain't nothin sweeter than a Georgia peach...but the bourbon is pretty close! LOL

I in advertently caused a shit storm at the store. I bought my back up C9 23. It wasn’t supposed to be on the shelf and I happened to see it and snatched it right away. It was literally as I’m walking out when the manager came up and said that one bottle wasn’t supposed to be on the shelf and it was promised to someone else and now they were going to have to break the bad news to some unfortunate soul. I did feel sorry for the guy, he didn’t know. But I kept walking…

I actually just picked up a bottle yesterday. I was really disappointed. It tasted very average. There’s a ton of bourbons better for the money. Skip A124, you’ll regret the purchase.

Friendly tip - you need to make it easier for the viewer to understand the final ranking - you rushed through the last 2 and couldn't understand which was which. I'm a massive 4R fan - love all these LE's and tasting all the 10 recipe single barrels is the fun of 4R!

I picked up a B524 earlier last week. Finally tried it last weekend and went and bought a backup bottle yesterday. Amazing batch

Just found you after watching Social SIpper's. Great content. Also, I am crazy jealous you can get these. Sadly, though I am in Canada, I cannot purchase these. Not sure which one I would prefer, but these sounded really, really good.

The 25 has been called the "best value in an old Scotch" on the other hand I tend to agree with you that the peat overshadows the malt so the age really becomes a non-factor. Laphroaig seems to get pushed aside on the Tube a bit but I think the brand is doing well cruising in the marketplace. Sure the ten is watereed down and can't compete with the integrity of the Ardbeg10. But the Cairdeas releases are more affordable. Unfortunately the 2024 is over $100 now, so that's sad but the CS always shows up for about $85. The rest of the core range is superfluous IMO even though people do like the Lore and Quater Cask. I just picked up another bittle of Warehouse 1 for $50. Obviously,the market has trashed it but... I think we are spoiled for choice with peat. I'd like to find a Ancnoc 24 for a decent big number and in the meantime it'll be teenagers and maybe a 21 here and there.

First of all, i have this bottle so i know its 2022 release. Secondly, u can see on ur bottle it says 2022.

Well I shall be happy with the C923 A22 batch I got. It was the only one I could find in a Mom n Pop store. I had to pay $108 all in so I’ll make do.

Excellent video! I’m not a huge Irish whiskey fan but I do enjoy the Red Breast 21 and 27 enormously! The 27 yo is extremely special. I have many single malt scotch malts I far prefer but this is a treasure! Awesome thoughts! I also love sharing! My husband and I aren’t going through the 27 too fast! It’s really for special occasions at the cost but everyone is different! Love offering it to friends who appreciate high end whisky! Cheers!

C922 and B523 are my favorites to date - I can't pick a favorite!

I tater'd out and bought a Takara Red at K&L a few months back to try and build the Blanton's vertical in the collection at the home bar. From what I have read about the Red, it is supposed to be aged 8 to 9 years compared to the 6 to 7 years for the standard Blanton's. Personally, I can't tell the difference, but maybe the one regular USA Blanton's I have is from an older single barrel...?

Really been on the fence for Indigo's Hour - it's SO MUCH for a low(ish) proof whiskey, but I have yet to have an Orphan Barrel that I didn't like. Decisions, decisions...

Can't find a Michter's 10-yr to save my life, and can't find the JD 10-yr for less than $500 (which is INSANE) but chanced upon the OF 1924 when it was first released and REALLY like it. I know a lot of reviewers gave 1924 a lukewarm reception, but like you, I really like it and will be nursing that bottle for a while.

Even though I would kill to get my hands on the Cellar Aged, I'm glad that the regular MM Cask Strength is a decent competitor (though I like MM46 Cask Strength even more)

Had a friend find the OF SiBBP Rye at MSRP up in the Santa Rosa area for me last month, but haven't cracked it yet. Definitely much easier to find the JD, and I LOOOOOVE the JD SiBBP Rye, but didn't even think to compare them since they are both B-F products!

If I can ever get my hands on a RR 13 for MSRP (only seeing it for $300+ in the South Bay), I would love to do the same blind since I have the other bottles.

I'm a fan of the "standard" BiB releases of both the regular and wheated bourbon, but haven't been able to find the Rickhouse Proof versions in SV - I don't think their distribution is very wide. I would LOVE to get my hands on them--any suggestions of where to look? I try to avoid buying online if I can help it.

Could not find C923, but I think B524 and A123 are two of the best recent batches of ECBP. I think this is definitely a backup bottle batch.

Passed on C batch last year to grab something else. Not this time, grabbed a B batch last week. Never passing on any other ECBP.

The B524 might be my favorite barrel yet. I cracked it last night without review influence and it was outstanding, super delicious. Great finish. Liked it so much I went and got another bottle this morning. Spot on review
