Michter's 10 Bourbon 24B vs 23A Blind Battle

In episode 73 of Whisky in SV, Matt and I did a blind tasting of Michter's 10 Bourbon's latest "B" barrel release from this year to last year's honey barrel "A". As you know last year, we made a mistake and attributed the win to the "F" barrel but our astute viewers called out the mistake. Regardless, we thought very highly of last year's "A" barrel and assumed there is no way this year's barrel could be as good. I think that a more fair comparison would be to compare a Non A 2023 bourbon with the 2024 since we know that 2023 A was a banger. Just like comparing every Elijah Craig to C923 is not really a fair comparison. I love your shelves, A true California Whiskey lover. Those bottles aren't going anywhere.

I would agree but honestly the this year's "B" is very similar to the "A" from last year!

@@whiskyinsv That gives me hope that when I find one and have to pay a lot, that I won't be paying "too much", I mean it's Michter's so how much is too much. I have this years Barrel Strength rye I am looking forward to cracking open.
