#WhiskyInSV

In episode 66 of Whisky in SV, I did a blind tasting of 3 Staggs: the 22B bottled at 130 proof, the 23B bottled at 127.8 Proof, and the Nob Hill Liquors bottled at a hazmat 141 proof. I have previously posted separate reviews of each of these and I really expected 23B to do well in a blind setting because while off-profile, when I tried it before, I felt it stood out in a good way by having a unique spiciness to it that I enjoyed. However, the in this blind, I was more aligned with common reviews out there that have been calling this one a bit sub-par for Stagg. Having said that, it is still an excellent bourbon at MSRP, so I would not hesitate to pick backup(s) if I see them at MSRP. Another important learning from this blind was that the Hazmat store pick I have really stands out as heads and shoulder above the other more standard offerings, and despite the high price tag, I wish I had picked up more when I had the opportunity…. #whiskyinsv #bourboninsv • #WhiskyInSV 066: Blind...
