In episode 65 of Whisky in SV, I did a blind tasting of the last two years of the Jack Daniel's aged releases: 10 Year Batch 2, 12 Year Batch 1, 10 Year Batch 3 and 12 Year Batch 2. While I think they are all great whiskies, the clear winner for me was the 12 Year Batch 1 from last year, ad the clear loser was current year's 12 Year. It is honestly quite surprising to me that the 10 Year releases are so close to the 12 Year releases despite 2 years less in the barrel and lower ABV. That is probably a good thing because their secondary price is nowhere near as bad as the 12 Year releases, so I think if you really want to try one of these, track down this year's 10 year Batch 3 as it is probably attainable and worth the hunt. #whiskyinsv #bourboninsv • #WhiskyInSV 065: Blind...
