Orphan Barrel Indigos Hour 18 Year Review and Comparison with EC18 and M10B

In episode 74 of Whisky in SV, Tam and I did a blind tasting of the newest Orphan Barrel release: Indigo's Hour 18 Year Bourbon. Orphan Barrel does not provide much information about the juice in this particular bottle other than stating that it is from Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. The nose on this is very inviting and promising but the palate was a miss for me because of some citrus bitters which I do no enjoy. We did a side-by-side with Elijah Craigh 18 since it has the same age and ABV, and even tried it next to the Michter's 10 Bourbon 2023 "A" barrel because I thought the Indigo's Hour nose reminded me a bit of Michter's products. #whiskyinsv #bourboninsv

Really been on the fence for Indigo's Hour - it's SO MUCH for a low(ish) proof whiskey, but I have yet to have an Orphan Barrel that I didn't like.
Decisions, decisions...

hehe, I would suggest to try a sample first, I think if you like Michter's 10 Bourbon, you will probably enjoy this too, but given the pricing, I would take the Michter's any day :)
