  • In episode 83 of Whisky in SV, Tam and I did a review of the Dewar's 21 Year Double Aged which is a special blended whiskey finished in Mizunara casks. This whiskey was recently on sale at Costco for the bargain price of well below a single Benji. We compared it to the Glengassaugh SandEnd which won Whisky Advocate's "Whisky of The Year" award, and decided that while objectively both of these whiskies are far from being our "whiskey of the year", the Dewar's is a materially superior and interesting experience. #whiskyinsv • Dewar's 21 Year Double...

My preference is the Dewat’s 21! I’m not usually a lover of blends but this is lovely! Far preferable to the other. It’s not bad but not as good as the Dewar’s!! Terrific video!!

You guys missed the point of Sandend... it is the first Single Malt Scotch (that I'm aware of) to have notes of tropical fruit with salinity.
