In episode 64 of Whisky in SV, I did a blind tasting of Jack Daniels 12 Year Batch 1 (from last year) vs Batch 2 (from this year). In this particular sitting, I concluded that although batch 2 has more oaky and dry notes compared to the sweet and confectionary notes from batch 1, I do not have a strong preference for one over the other.
