Buffalo Trace Unwind Bottle Shop Store Pick Blind

In episode 77 of Whisky in SV, I did a blind taste of the new Buffalo Trace store pick from Unwind Bottle Shop which is the closest enthusiast liquor store to me here in Mountain View. I put it up against a regular Buffalo Trace and an E.H. Taylor Small Batch and pleasantly surprised that it beat both of them out pretty comfortably. I was told this pick is 8 years 3 months and it definitely comes across as more complex and oaky than the regular Buffalo Trace and more on par with the significantly more tatered E.H. Taylor Small Batch. I guess it goes to show that you don't have to break the bank to enjoy great whisky. Great blind. I'm new to this and like Eagle Rare. I like Buffalo Trace Store Picks better and have a 1.75L coming in from Unwind today.👍
