Arena Trap/Illuminate/No Guard could be useful if you're looking for a rarer pokémon and wanna increase encounters since it might show up faster

I 100% agree with you about Psuedo Legendaries. The critera should be 1) 600 BST 2) Not a legendary The 3 stage thing was only a factor because none of em were 2 stages, and the slow experience thing is a non factor

It makes sense that Tornadus is the only one of its group to use Flying-type moves. If the other Forces of Nature had access to the same Flying-type moves that Tornadus has, there would be no point to Tornadus existing.

They actually shy away from eeveelution now, and prefer to use “veevee” or “eevee evolutions” now. They really hate acknowledging fan terms

in-universe I prefer partner pokemon (and clarifying when necessary) but in our world I prefer starter

I know it’s very niche, but I loved to use (a bit overleveled) Porygon-Z as an electric pokemon in Legends Arceus. LA is unique in way that you don’t necessarily want your pokemon to be strong. There is lot less battling other trainers and much more catching pokemon. Porygon-Z felt great as a catching pokemon. With speed enhancing nature and max speed evs he could out speed pretty much anything. He could open with Thunder Wave to paralyze pokemon. His non-stab electric attacks had low chance of KOing the pokemon, but if I had to, I could use the nuclear option and annihilate my opponent with stab hyper-beam. After paralyzing the pokemom, I could just switch to my lvl90 alpha Garchomp and false-swipe them.

Recently I've seen some pokemon creators casually throwing around the term "first partner pokemon" when talking about starters, and it kind of throws me off every time.

I just use XYZ pokemon than Aura pokemon

In spanish, the official games still use the word "variocolor" (something like multi-color in english), as the official name for shiny pokemon. Even the shiny charm has a different name, the "Iris" charm. Even so, the community calls them shiny anyways. I hope someday the games use the word shiny, it's much better

7:30 Substitute exists to block status moves I am sure they would still use attacking moves, because of Sub. That is why for many mons, 100+ base HP is such a big deal, because it allows them to have enough HP so that Substitutes dont break from a single seismic toss and therefore being able to use Blissey as setup opportunity. Threats like Kyruem showed, that even special attackers with little SpA investment and low base power moves (freeze dry), can still muscle through blissey over time, because of 101HP Subs + Recovery
