I made a variation last night with leftover pork, it was really bland. I'm not a great cook, it needs something to kick it up a notch.

It’s missing onion, garlic, paprika, tomato paste, white wine....
Not bad at all, looks very tasty. Don’t wrap your spuds in foil though, this creates a soggy skin. Leave them unwrapped and season however, mine is similar to yours except I use olive oil and just salt and pepper but I digress, leaving them uncovered will help the skin be much crispier and develops the Maillard flavors more but it will also make a stiffer bowl. You didn’t seem to have an issue with that but wrapping does steam the skin and could make that a problem. 10/10 though, looks delicious and definitely will try.
Appreciate the love and feedback! My fear of not wrapping them was the skin being too crispy to scoop out the potato but I’ll give it a go!
@@4everacreskitchen it’s totally true that can happen, if you have time may I ask what temp and how long do you do your baked taters?
@@4everacreskitchen many folk things like baked taters or scrambled eggs or even something like soup are all “easy” to do, and yes it is true that to just cook them is extremely easy. Crack an egg in a skillet and scramble, turn oven on throw the spud in, throw a bunch of stuff in a pot, boom soup, but these three examples done well = insane difficulty. This is why I asked how long and what temp, like I said you are absolutely correct in that the potato skins can become too crispy and thick, where a lot of potato has become “potato skin” as opposed to just the actual outer flesh being the “potato skin”.

425 was a little high and burned the burns. 325-350 wouldve been fine and still melted and warmed it all up. Looks like a good recipe though.
