  • Braising short ribs is an amazing way to get fork tender delicious #shortribs just make sure you have plenty of wine and some chores to do while you wait two and half hours while they braise lol!! Instead of polenta I decided to fry some sorullitos which are corn sticks, these are delicious on their own with some mayo ketchup as we do in Puerto Rico but nestled under that beef with all the juice ohhhh yeah!! You get some crunch on the outside and tender sweetness on the inside - you must try it!
    The only thing I'll do next time is cut off some more fat prior to searing so the sauce comes out thicker at the end, then maybe I shouldn't have to use a thickener.

    What you need:
    8 short ribs
    plenty of salt and pepper roasted garlic powder and of course paprika!
    4 large carrots roughly chopped
    2 yellow onions roughly chopped
    2 cups red wine
    2 cups beef broth
    Two packs of Goya Corn Sticks (Sorullitos)
    Broccolinis
    Vegetable Oil - 2 1/2 cups
    Olive Oil 2 tbsp
    Parmigiano Reggiano freshly grated
    Dutch oven
    fry pan
