    I have a quesadilla maker. When my youngest son was young, he came up with his own concoction that he called “secret recipe”. It was basically a peanut butter and jelly quesadilla. He would eat them every day. 😊

    This is great alternative to peanut butter and jelly. I've been purchasing Smucker's Natural Peanut butter and I just stir to combine the oil on top and it's delicious we love it. 💕 I have that issue, eat dinner and then feel like I still want something and that's when I get into trouble...the snacking after dinner.. Oh one more thing have you ever tried mashed carrots? Instant pot for 7 minutes then release pressure scoop out carrots and add a little butter and salt them immersion blender..it's delicious It's so easy, I get a big bag of organic carrots at Sam's Club for it.

      Glad you liked it! It's tough to stop yourself from snacking after dinner sometimes! I find that if I eat really well during the day and have a filling dinner, I'm better at night but I also know that a lot of those late night cravings come from finally having some peace and quiet to myself and wanting to give myself a little treat 🙃 I've never tried mashed carrots but I sure will now!     I make mine one at a time. I have to heat them though. I can’t do them cold. I like to add different things like mashed banana, natural peanut butter, plain greek yogurt, maple syrup or honey, frozen berries, and dark chocolate chips. The flavors all mix and match lol.

    Are drinking calories bad ? Also how much frozen banana do you add to one cup of milk while making a smoothie ? Also berries and banana together how much grams do you add ? And what about Oats in case you add ? Sometimes my smotthie becomes too thick so I asked. Sorry for so many questions 😅

      Drinking calories isn't bad as long as the calories are actually filling you up. For example, a medium Mocha Caffe from Starbucks is 370 calories and 35 grams of sugar. You can have a meal for the same amount of calories that's going to be filling with protein, veggies and whole grains but a Mocha drink isn't going to be filling (at least not for me) so it's just a matter of making sure the calories you're drinking are actually filling you up. For smoothies, here's a general guideline that I recommend in terms of portion sizes so it makes a nice consistency: 1 cup of frozen berries 1 banana (fresh or frozen) 1/2 cup of yogurt 1/2 cup of milk 1-2 tbsp of almond or peanut butter 1/2 tsp of chia seeds 1/2 tsp of hemp seeds This makes a nice bigger batch that you can portion out to 2-3 smoothies. If it’s too thick, you can always add more milk to it. I've never tried adding in oats while blending before but I've tried adding in the smoothie to oats in a mason jar to make fruity overnight oats in the fridge and that turns out pretty good! Hope that helps! :)

      I think a peanut butter drizzle would be amazing on it! I'll give that a try sometime too 😊 Honestly we end up eating them pretty quickly but I would suggest maybe a month max? Usually when I put just regular frozen banana chunks in a zip lock, I notice they start to taste a little different after a month

    That's not too much processed food ? Marinara sauce usually contain too much added sugar, why not simply use Passata sauce ? Sausage contain a lot o additives (some of them suspected to cause cancer), you could simply use boiled eggs.

      I'm not familiar with Passata sauce so I had to look it up as I haven't seen it in grocery stores where I typically shop. It looks like it's similar to tomato puree? If I ever see it, I'll give it a try. Sausages certainly contain additives (as do a lot of foods) but I try to go for options that don't have nitrites and nitrates and eat sausages sparingly. Boiled eggs are a good source of protein but boiling eggs is not an option for me when I have 10-15 minutes to pack lunch in the morning. If you follow my content, you'll see that I do use packaged and processed products for convenience but try to go for healthier alternatives. I wish I had the time and money to make everything from scratch and avoid processed foods completely but that's unfortunately not my reality 🤷‍♀️

    Is it possible to gain weight using intermittent fasting by remaining in calorie surplus ? What change should be done in a diet to gain weight ? Increase calories, increase protein, or something else ?

      Yes it's certainly possible to gain weight while using intermittent fasting as long as your calorie intake is exceeding your calorie expenditure but I would actually suggest against intermittent fasting for weight gain since you're limiting the amount of time within which you can consume calories. For weight gain, I always suggest prioritizing increasing calorie intake of course and also increasing protein intake so that you're helping gain muscle at the same time. For the extra calories, you'll get some extra calories from increasing your protein intake and then I would suggest using healthy fats (such as avocado, nuts, nut butters, seeds, etc.) to increase the rest of the calories while balancing that out with moderate carbohydrate intake for a balanced diet. Hope that helps!

      Absolutely yes! I use frozen vegetables all the time. It actually maintains the nutrients pretty well and it's a convenient option 😊

    Love your videos!! Very helpful. So I was going to make enchiladas using black beans and corn. Are soft corn tortillas okay? Was wondering which tortillas to use also was thinking of maybe adding canned chicken and throwing in some spinach 🤔 just to add more vegetables from tips you said in past. Would this be healthy? Using red enchilada sauce. Maybe some cheese on top.🤔

      That sounds like a delicious healthy meal! Corn tortillas are a great choice and adding in black beans and canned chicken for protein, and corn and spinach for veggies is an excellent idea! And of course you can't go wrong with some cheese on top 😋 I'd suggest a small side salad or a piece of fruit on the side to round out the whole plate 😊👍

    Is Hand pounded brown rice and Semi Brown rice the same ?

      I don't see those options as much where I live so I did some research and it looks like hand pounded brown rice and semi brown rice are pretty similar. They're both just slightly processed brown rice. I would think either option would be okay as long as you're aiming for about 1/4 of your plate to be rice at meal times. Hope that helps! 😊

      @@HealthyMadeSimple Thank you for replying. I was just confused between Brown and Semi Brown. You said Brown is better since it has more fibre. But some say Semi Brown doesn't use any machine milling so it's better. Also can there be any concern of Arsenic ?

      @@glenncouto sorry I just saw this message! semi brown doesn't use machine milling so it helps retain some of the fiber but the whole brown rice is better because it hasn't been processed. there is a concern for arsenic with brown rice so it's important to make sure you wash it well and you can also try cooking it like pasta where you boil it and drain out the water but honestly your best bet for reducing arsenic consumption is to alternate with other grain options and use brown rice a few times per week instead of more regularly.

    Looks delicious!! 😋 You inspired me to order Flavorgod seasoning. You know they don't sell it in stores where I live, not at Sam's Club either so I ordered online, it's really good I love it. Thank you for sharing. Love your cooking videos. Tried the chicken stew and it was so yummy! 😊 Quick question. I love fruit and between my snack at work and my smoothie in evening I eat a lot of it, is that too much fruit? It's probably 3 cups at least..

      That makes me so happy! 💕 I'm glad you're finding them helpful and yummy! 😁 As far as your fruit intake, that sounds great to me! 1 cup would be about 1 serving and we should aim for at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day so as long as you're getting some veggies in too (which I think you are 😊), you'll be golden 👍

    I love a good smoothie. What I use in mine: banana, spinach, natural peanut butter, cocoa powder, vanilla, frozen berries and cherries, and almond milk. 😋

      Hemp seeds add a slight nuttiness taste wise. If you end up buying them, store it in the fridge and they last a long time 😊

Found crushed garlic at Target near us. 😊 Makes it easier. Also used a mix that had brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage and carrots. Closest I found to what you had since we don't have a Trader Joe's near us. Oh my it's so delicious!! Thank you for the recipe! Hope you make more like this!! I absolutely love veggies. Used to eat a lot of processed food when I was younger but now I eat lots of vegetables and fruit. It's so good!! 💕

      Tomato paste is basically tomato puree except a lot of the liquid has been removed so it's thicker and richer in tomato flavor
