  • In this video, I will be sharing how I quickly packed lunch before work using my bento box. I love using my bento box to put together different items to make a complete and balanced meal that includes veggies, protein and carbs. I didn't have any leftovers for this video so I used my freezer staples for a quick meal!
    Here's what I packed:
    - Frozen rice medley (Trader Joe's)
    - Frozen mixed vegetables (Costco)
    - Rao's Marinara Sauce
    - Shredded cheese
    - Sabatino's basil and black pepper chicken sausage
    - Carrots
    - Hidden Valley ranch

    That's not too much processed food ? Marinara sauce usually contain too much added sugar, why not simply use Passata sauce ? Sausage contain a lot o additives (some of them suspected to cause cancer), you could simply use boiled eggs.

      I'm not familiar with Passata sauce so I had to look it up as I haven't seen it in grocery stores where I typically shop. It looks like it's similar to tomato puree? If I ever see it, I'll give it a try. Sausages certainly contain additives (as do a lot of foods) but I try to go for options that don't have nitrites and nitrates and eat sausages sparingly. Boiled eggs are a good source of protein but boiling eggs is not an option for me when I have 10-15 minutes to pack lunch in the morning. If you follow my content, you'll see that I do use packaged and processed products for convenience but try to go for healthier alternatives. I wish I had the time and money to make everything from scratch and avoid processed foods completely but that's unfortunately not my reality 🤷‍♀️
