The Redemption 390 right on bro I knew you would make it happen. I would have considered fresh rods and main bearings if for anything peace of mind probably would have helped with the oil pressure also.

It appears you have no place to add oil to your engine with the thunderbird valve covers. The engines with those valve covers had a crankcase tube on the intake to add oil. Maybe lm missing something, but that seems to be the case. Keep up the good work!

I don't know of you know this but back in the day people took the Tri-Power of the engines because it is difficult to keep them in tune. I am talking more about the Pontiac GTO's but I am sure the same goes for Fords.

Hi Omar, anxious to see the test drive.always liked the 390,Had a cyclone with a modified 390 with a four speed.lots of fun.my all time favourite is the 427 side oiler.

I've had a few of them a while back and was pleased with the highway crusing torque these engines have ... Enjoy and good job . And always helps to have a buddy helping ...

It's easier to put the engine and transmission in at the same time... That's the normal practice

It'd be nice if you could build it into a 401.. that's what the 401 was horsepower. It was a 390 with three two barrels. That would be nice to set it up like a 401 390 cubic inch

I had a 61 galaxy starliner, 390-401hp, supposedly. Dealer installed 4spd top loader. All red. Those 3 duces were a bitch to tune with solid lifter maintenance but she absolutely rolled! I traded it for a 68 CJ Cougar 😅

The family of FE Ford engines still make lots of power, 360s make plenty of torque to pull heavy load in 4×4s, 428 horse power and torque in a "streetable" variant of the 427 that still to this day wins races that it was designed to do, all FE blocks have made power in different ways and measures for over 60 years , and still going Strong !

Hi Omar, run the FE as is and when run have the 428 ready switch them. The rebuild the 390 with the tri-power and drop it into something else you find. Great videos tho. Regards, Dave K
