Full-size fords are some of the most fun cars ever made!
Just arrived after seeing Tom's visit. Wishing you all the best with all of your builds. And yes, she looks mighty fine just the way she is.
The smile that will be on your face on the first drive will be epic :)
Haha that will definitely be a day to remember!
Great stuff, Omar. Glad to see some progress on the ol' Galaxie. Painting the hood and trunk lid next hey?! 😉
So nice to be able to run that motor on the stand first. Looking good Omar !
Yes it definitely saved a lot of headache and time!
Omar, I know school is your number 1 commitment, as it should be, But It's fantastic to see this happening now.
I’m trying to get as much done before my time is all taken away haha
Look at you go Omar! Too many guys today don’t touch their broken cars because they don’t have the perfect tools, but not you. I salute you! From an old guy who did the same
im not a ford guy, but watching and listening to you (ever since Tom visited you) is priceless. i enjoy your passion
Haha much appreciated! I will be visiting a couple of junkyards so there will be a bit of everything
Good progress indeed! You'll be cruisin' in style in no time. Cheers! 😎👍🏎🏁🏁
Yes almost there!
Can’t wait to see you cruising it Omar!!
Thanks!! Soon I hope!
Looking good with that engine bolted in.
Looks great Omar can’t wait to see it running
I really like this setup. Proper respect for old school cool! Great job!
Just awesome. Keep up the good work!
Much appreciated fred
One step closer to the first 😁👍👍.
If you are going to use headers, cant wait for the installation video.
Yes soon I hope!!
Great progress!
Getting closer!
Looks like someone has been cutting on the cross member with a cutting torch ??? Am I right ... I'm sure you will enjoy the 390 in that car . I've had a few of them a while back and was pleased with the highway crusing torque these engines have ... Enjoy and good job . And always helps to have a buddy helping ...
That is such a cool car.
Lookin good man!
Awesome Omar. You rock bro !
Thanks Alfred!
I can’t wait to bring down my 63 Marauder and go cruising! Let’s do a group Route 66 cruise or something!
Looks awesome!
Almost there!!
🎉Hell yeah omar!!🫡
Brother I just can’t wait to hear it
Dope! Been following this build for a minute!
Haha finally getting it close!
The Redemption 390 right on bro I knew you would make it happen. I would have considered fresh rods and main bearings if for anything peace of mind probably would have helped with the oil pressure also.
It appears you have no place to add oil to your engine with the thunderbird valve covers. The engines with those valve covers had a crankcase tube on the intake to add oil. Maybe lm missing something, but that seems to be the case. Keep up the good work!
My thoughts exactly🤔along with a PCV fitting at the rear of the manifold.
Yes I will have to change the covers or intake. I’d like to keep the covers but if I can’t find an aluminum intake I will have to change them
To prevent leaking out the back of the C6 transmission just tape a paper / styrofoam coffee cup over the tailpiece.
Sweet thanks for the idea!
Hi Omar, anxious to see the test drive.always liked the 390,Had a cyclone with a modified 390 with a four speed.lots of fun.my all time favourite is the 427 side oiler.
Very cool! I’d like to own a 427 side oiler someday
Boom 👊
💯
Omar, not sure what your plans are for the body but I think it looks pretty cool as is! And the engine looks killer!
It's easier to put the engine and transmission in at the same time... That's the normal practice
Back in the day when you had a ton of room under the hood!
It'd be nice if you could build it into a 401.. that's what the 401 was horsepower. It was a 390 with three two barrels. That would be nice to set it up like a 401 390 cubic inch
That would be sweet! I had a dual carb intake and ended up selling it! Now I regret it
Omar, I would sand down the Hood and spray clear, same for the rest of the car
I’ve considered it or at least use an oil treatment to keep it from further rusting haha
What plates are you going to order for it? The black and yellow I hope.
Yes that is the plan!
I don't know of you know this but back in the day people took the Tri-Power of the engines because it is difficult to keep them in tune. I am talking more about the Pontiac GTO's but I am sure the same goes for Fords.
Progress! High wear or not, that engine might run another 50k the way it starts and idles on the stand.
Haha yes I think it will last if I’m easy on it. If I can get 50k miles I’ll be happy!
2:49 Oops, you videoed the car on a California street, now all the back fees are due from the minute it entered the state. You should edit that out.
