It seems that the same device could be used to auto-unlock upon approach in the EV6 Wind if programmed for that also. I've seen a lot of Wind owners complain about auto unlock more than auto lock.

Hi, I have the EV6 GT as well and if I stand next to my vehicle it unlocks and if I don't open the door and move away from the door it locks back up. So was there an over the air update or something??

Yes, great video thank you. Here in Australia we have separate amber turn signals, Euro style. Combination brake/red signals are strictly not allowed. They’re not sequential (although those are allowed).

Nice! How do you like It? I plan on getting an ev6 gt as well my commute is similar range but I’ll be taking 680 from Napa to San Jose. With the hills did the range take a hit? but I assume you gain on regen going down hill it charges a little. And how much range have you gotten going 80mph with full charge?

Have you noticed any change (good or bad) with respect to the wiper-less "self-cleaning" of the rear window? We have a lot of mucky salty-slush on the roads during our winter months... I understand the EV6 aerodynamics work a bit better than the IONIQ5's as far as rear window cleanliness. Has this spoiler changed the nature of the EV6's self-cleaning of rain and/or muck? Thanks!

Sorry, but don't you know the difference between mud flaps and mud guards? When you said "flaps" I thought you meant actual FLAPS, you know, the things that FLAP, not mud GUARDS. Words matter man, I personally couldn't stand you saying FLAPS over and over again while installing the regular mud GUARDS, so I had to turn it off, heh... But thanks for all your info in general, you get a pass on this one as you are definitely helping us new owners out!

Just NUTS it doesn't have this feature already! My Mazda 3 that was half the price of my GT-Line, that I traded in for had this, if it can sense you walking up it absolutely can detect your waking away, no way I'm doing all this hacking in when it could already be enabled if they wanted to. We need to push Kia for an answer WHY they don't do this! This reminds me of having a car that was only offered with terrible halogen headlights in my country when other countries had nice projector options. These alternative headlights could be ordered fairly cheap but needed some wiring mods to work right. So this guy came up with a complex way to get the out of country headlights working right, huge forum post with instructions, sold the parts at cost for the benefit of the community, etc. Then a guy comes in and says "wait, why are you doing all that? All you have to do is flip these two wires in the harness connector and it does the same thing." Well, dudes elaborate post with instructions was deleted by the next day. I felt sorry for him, but a perfect example of why not to immediately dive in too quickly when a simpler solution will come around, hell, Kia could end up enabling this in an OTA update.

As far as I’m aware the AI box module allows wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Can you run nav data on your phone via CarPlay/AA when connecting through the AI Box w/o it disconnecting factory nav or can you only use nav on the box itself?

THANK YOU! The happy accident addtionally that happened was the display of XM/Sirius whilst navigating in Android Auto! One of my biggest pet peeves about the Kia Infotainment. Now, after following your steps to enable battery pre-conditioning, I have the split screen with XM displayed! YAY! 🙂

Hello, greetings, I have a question, I bought a mach e AWD that was manufactured in 07/2022 but I bought it in 01/2024 and it has been connected to the Wi-Fi for two months and no update has arrived and connected to Wi-Fi 24/7, look for information that if the APIM modules and the GWM are in the list of updates, they are not updated, the updates will not begin to flow, is this true?

I have mine for a year 21K miles . I am happy for the Tesla supercharger network. I will finally be able to use it on longer trips.

all ev should just have a tab to hit to turn on pre heating anytime you want

first suggestion, Just use the kia navigation. And, You can change DC maximum charging percent in road trip. I suggest 80%. It will apply the route planner. second suggestion, use the kia navigation, When you get close to your destination, use Apple CarPlay when the battery is sufficient.

Does door locks when keys are inside the car? Corbin said it does not. I see that you have ev6 as i do. So just wnat to make sure. Thank you!

Nice honest review, I'm sorry to hear you had those issues. I'm on my second one, I had a 2021 and now a 2023 and haven't experienced those issues personally. Other than the common issues people have with the PaaK system (but I also blame Apple a little bit on that one because of the way they sandbox applications) I haven't had any issues. Best of luck with your new car, variety is the spice of life.

need a little help. at the 9:15 section of your video, you were able to pop out that whole section using an air bag. i'm having trouble with that. i have the air bag in and have followed your video to a T but that darned thing wont pop out. ive tried a plastic shim tool, nudging it, gently banging it etc... any advice for me? Can’t seem to get it working with Waze or google maps, I’m in a 2024 Kia ev6 land awd package 2. I set Waze to phone speaker and mute all. Once plugged in to car play it defaults audio to CarPlay over riding play thru phone speakers. Cancels the car nav and the split screen for car nav stops once I set destination on Waze or google.

This looked more complicated then it should've been. The pics on the website doesn't look clean at all. I'm still interested in but I think black would look better imo. Probably a matte black if anything. I'm also wanting to order another set to put in the brake calipers as well as they look plain how it is right now. I just hope they stay on though as I don't want to go through a painting route. I'm surprised you don't have a discount code or so since they're using you video. Edit: looks like they have other stickers for the EV6 GT as well! I wish they had just the GT wording for the brake calipers tho. I will order some soon!

hazard lights?

What happened with the back door handle at 19:49? What happens when you leave the car when its on with the key fob? Does this ever enter sleep mode? Maybe record and watch if the led shutoff after you leave at some point. Now they need it to turn off the car when you open the car door and stand up. Have you got out and forgot to shut it off yet?
