MACH-E LED REAR REFLECTORS: PRODUCT REVIEW
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 сер 2024
- This week, we’re reviewing an interesting new product that changes out the Mach-E’s rear reflectors for ones with LED lights that mirror the main tailights. This makes your turn signals and brake lights more prominent to those behind you. But are do they look cool or dorky?
Thanks to my son for the awesome help, company, and camera work.
AOSK sent me the LED reflectors to review, but the content of the review is solely my own.

Best part was “that was scary!” :-)
I like that. Extra flash!
where to order these rear reflector LED lights?
Link in the video description
Thanks for this! I'm still not sure if I'm keeping my MME after the 4-year Options expiration, so I've been hesitant to do any exterior (or firmware) mods.
Very cool
Installed these today. I like the upgrade, but i think the reflector arrows should face outward 🤔
agreed!
Nice outcome the only thing i wouldnt advise is backing a 70k Car up on ramps in the wrong hands this can be an expensive disaster to say the least.
Go to a Mechanic this could cost you much less in the long run.
This is a very responsive car therefore not a good idea to back up on unfixed ramps.
But nice end result thanks.
oh I agree the ramps were slightly sketchy. Now that I know you don't need to take down the whole back felt panel, I don't think you need to raise the car at all.
I'm guessing some jurisdictions will consider those illegal when they are flashing. A flashing red light is generally exclusive to emergency vehicles.
They don't flash, they blink sequentially when you put on your turn signal. LEDs don't show accurately sometimes on video. No cop would give a ticket for this unless they were giving you lots of other tickets and wanted to add this one to it.
@@ev_kimchi Thanks for the reply. You're right. I actually went to a State Police Barrack and showed them your vid and asked them would I have any problem with these and they confirmed that they are fine. Picked my Mach E up 2 1/2 weeks ago and I had already ordered these. Used your video to install them. It was very helpful. I love the mod.
I did find during installation if you go ahead and take out all 8 of the rear bolts on the "diaper" you can easily push it up with one hand and reach in with the other to manipulate the wiring without having to feel around. I just had my wife hold the plug on the outside while I plugged on the inside. Only took a couple of minutes per side. Entire installation was less than an hour.
Please chuck the front tires too when u working like that just in case
yeap, good advice. I had the car in park and the parking brake on. In addition I didn't really put my head much under the car, it was just my arm under the bumper. But I hear you, I'm probably not thinking of putting my car up on ramps again anytime soon -- at least not until my next oil change! haha
@@ev_kimchi that Russian actor in new star trek remake died when his veh was in park, but the transmission shifted and the veh rolled backwards pinning him to the gate. He died
I know, that was really sad about Chekov. In his case, his Jeep had a rotary shifter with poor UI so owners sometimes did not have the car in park when they thought they were in Park. His car rolled down his driveway and pinned him against a gate. In my case, I'm absolutely positive I had the car in park and the parking brake engaged, and for bonus points, my car and garage/driveway was angled to roll the opposite direction from where we were. But I agree with you that wheel chocks might be a helpful addition for my next light install video.
Basically disables the factory tail lights by tinting them, then adds additional tail lights…
Factory tail lights do not lose any discernable brightness through the tint I had on them. But thanks for the snark.
Have you tried reaching the rear reflectors without jacking the car?
I did not since the car was already up, but I think it can definitely be done without the ramps
@@ev_kimchi Thanks, I already ordered mine.
not a fan of the arrow light design though kind of reminds me of barbed wire or zip ties.
I agree that the light style is inconsistent with the rest of the lights, but it looks cool on balance and certainly is more safe, especially on the highway
