I really appreciate the content. Thank you!
Nicely done.
But why the angst over the screws and bit? Just buy some screws with a Philips head and no need to worry about the wrong head? Also, you had me worried about the Allen wrench, but I had one that fit exactly in my tool chest.
Good video.
I just ran my cable up the wall and across the ceiling using eye hooks and zip ties to my Mach E. I then used a tool holder and hung the plug from it. This positioned it directly over my charge port so all I have to do when I pull in the garage is pull down the on the plug and plug it in.
This method eliminates that contraption, does the same thing, and cost about $20.

I would prefer one with less capacity but I had this one around from another project.
sounds like a good home-grown solution!
if you are going to install something yourself you are expected to have common tools like drills. std size drill bits and std size Allen wrenches. the only time a mfr should supply something if it is not a common item.
doesn't work if the open garage door is above the charge port!
@@thomaswilson2917 Good point. Not an issue in my setup.
@@thomaswilson2917 ?
The hooks for holding the connector are right at my eye-level. It would benefit from having glow-in-the-dark rubber balls over the hook ends.
Haven't lost an eyeball yet!
With that much extra cable, why not just hang it from the celing and drop it down to the car?
too difficult to hang it from the ceiling yet have the ability to plug it in, much less get it out of the way when not using it.
Get a real car mate not a crappy electric one. They will most likely catch fire
Thanks so much for that insight.
