After Foil Sanding Thoughts | Axis PNG 1310 & Flat 460 Rear | Jonathan Reinke
I recommend sanding your foil if you fly over 10 mph and make it shinny / hydrophobic if you go under 10 mph. I definitely do not recomend having both surface finishes one one foil. The mix makes a foil misbehave and lower performance.
I got the foil used from MACKiteboarding for a great price with only tinny nicks and some sticky grime on it. I am happy with my used 1310!

This was fast and easy maintenance for my foil. I will shortly post a video after my n3xt session to share the differences. Let me know if you would like more content like this. I like this font wing! The Axis PNG 1310 is stable, efficent, lots of lift & peaceful in flight. It takes a notable amount more force and more pre planning to roll the wing. Both the Axis PNG 1310 and 1150 work great for foot pump foiling. I am glad I started to learn with the 1150 as it turns " rolls" easier, it is less specific on how it is pumped and not being as wide makes most dock lauches easier. I am excited to get longer foot pump flights and look forward to test it out for Wing Foiling to see how light of wind I can get up in. One thing I forgot to mention...

Today, I stopped the intence rattling coming from the back of my 1995 Nissan Pathfinder. The rattling was coming from the tire carrier. I fixed it by gluing in some higher density foam to wedge between the tire carrier bar and the mounting bracket. It took some troubleshooting to figure out what foam would work best. Yes!!! I got a new antenna installed and it works! It was less than $40, took only a day to ship, the same dimensions as my old one ... but the internal gears and overall quality feel is not the same as the old one when it was working as far as I can tell. maybe after a few more ups and downs it will break in and smooth out?!? It took me some time to figure out what this box is. It is the power antenna controller / timer! Modern universal power antennas do not need this.
