  • Thess slightly Smoked turn signals look very nice. I think they will overall match the vehicle even better after I redue my headlights.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you, where did you get them and what did they cost you?

I got these slighty smoked / black front turn signals on Ebay also.
      Part number is 153049320458
These specific versions only fit September 2001 or earlier as it uses a clip. After this BMW changed the clip to a screw type. This is for the E46 M3. I do not know the adaptability for other E46 3 searies cars.

@@jonathanreinke9392 thank you. I can't get over how much information there is on UA-cam. It helps so much to see it done before attempting anything. Even something simple like this. Much appreciated!

Nice that you got the same turn signals. I rilly like the way mine look. 🙂
This style did take some time to figure out how to install correctly so just keep at it until you figure it out.
Make sure the clip adaptor on your headlight is in good shape. Having good light or have on a head lamp will help. You have to line up the turn signal on in front or forward to the head light. The clip needs to be lined up kind of perfectly. Once lined up it needs to be slid back without the turn signal twisting / rolling or the clip will come out of alignment. As you slide back pushing twords the headlight and back can help to make sure it does not come out. If the clip is not lined up correctly and it is pushed hard with the hope to set the turn signal I feel the clip on the turn signal or clip on the head light can be damaged.
I have not used the updated screw in type turn signal but I predict the screw style is less challenging to remove / install. With the correct technique the clip style is fast and stays in place.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

hi, I’m having a difficult time with the clip part screwdriver do you have to push the side of it or on top?

You push from to top down to release the clip. Pull out at the same time. You can use the oval hole in the top inside of the fender. The way the clip works with the main head light is weird. BMW made a good move to switch to a single screw instead of a clip for later modles. Once the clip is in it stays.
As you reinstall you need to make sure the clips are lined up perfectly and slighty pushing the turn signal towards the headlight helps to make sure the clip does not come out. If it does not feel smooth try to realign the clip as forcing it does not work if it is not aligned correctly.
Take your time on these and go slow as you get the feel for it.
      Good luck 🙂

Have you swapped the reflectors to white or smoke?

No, mine are still amber. I was thinking a light smoke over amber would be nice compromise.
Three Wine Cats, what do you think would look best?

      Hi Erijon,

Good luck on finding the right ones for your car. 😊
