BTW In my opinion Nick's look was best when he had orange hair. I did that once. He set things off with that. Is there something I should know? was massive in the UK so they became popular here and I felt cheated. That was one of the best videos. That would be a good one to look at.

Yes. I TRIED for Duran Duran bangs. I even had the purple streak. It never worked but I was an art student and NO ONE had heard of Japan or Duran at that point so I was still cool as F*uck. I loved this band and still do. Not sexy but caught the PopArt wave and still keep it alive today.

This is a very depeche mode-style song I can easily imagine Dave Ghan singing it and it will sound even more fantastic.

Totally love Medazzaland and Pop Trash, Duran Duran at their more experimental side. Nick and Warren exploring new textures, very good. The problem is that a lot of Durannies expect them to do Rio/Seven albums all over again.

I always been such a fan of PC/Genesis, NJR one of the best 80s album. Yes Phil, is the best drummer in the world, you can hear it in Tina Turner's 1986 "Typical Male" and "Easy Lover" with EWF's Philip Bailey(the other Phil) both became successful singles on the charts. The single Don't Lose My Number wasn't on his 1998 Hits collection, something that confused alot of PC fans. The music video for DLMN I thought that Billy was in the video, I don't know if that was true or not. But at the end of the day, "No Jacket Required" should require a jacket.

Dropped in the 80s only to be brought back in Mr.Kojimas hit game series Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom when our main character Venom Snake is screaming into the sky as if wanting god to hear his pain all while his base burns in the background while this classic 80s hit is playing.

I'm also curious to know what it will sound like and what all 15 tracks on this album will be like. They say that the album is bold rock and also political. However, it is a completely different album from all the albums they have made previously, such as RCM, AYNIN, PG, FP and DM. Just wait and hope that it will be released this year. But perhaps could be released after the US elections. Or very different from that.

Reportage was a response to Franz Ferdinand carving out what Duran Duran thought was their own classic sound. But the label pushed for a more R&B sound and a collab with Timbaland/Timberlake. Remember they were already dropped by a label during Medazzaland and they were afraid of it happening again

Chia Girl has so much stereotypes going on and in the 80’s, when I was learning English and, as a big Bowie fan, I naturally wanted to understand the lyrics. Needless to say, I was horrified. Now I just laugh it off as a joke song.

Dark Circles is such a brilliant album. It was never going to sound like the Duran Duran we know now. It was what might have been. It's more experimental and I love it! I listen to this album FAR more than some of the weaker Duran Duran albums (Astronaut, Paper Gods).

Fans chasing this album are like Ahab pursuing Moby Dick, the Great White Whale

Could easily (despite all wonderful nostalgia for the DLR era albums) be number 2 or even number 1. Well done sir.

This album is a gem! My top 3 DD albums.

The fact that the black Crowes pulled that stunt after they had to scrap the original version (which was called Tall) and they blew through a million $’s (the blow part isn’t a Euphemism either) is nuts. But all that said it’s their best album, and some of the Tall sessions were later released with a more tasteful cover. I don’t know how they weren’t cut from their label.
