I would say the version with the “bonus tracks” is more of a “director’s cut.” The fact that the band had specific places for the bonus tracks rather than tacking them on at the end, suggests that Duran wanted these on the album but had to cut them out to fit certain formats or simply to not make it exhaustive. I think the best validation for my argument can be heard where “Hammerhead” ends and “Invocation” begins. Although there’s a pause in between the two songs, they were obviously meant to flow into each other. Regardless, I am in love with this new album and it is easily top 5. Not a bad song on it and no songs I skip over…a true indicator that I like an album.
Agreed. The 3 Bonus Tracks were Fully Intended to be on the Album where they are Placed. I believe the Vinyl Album was Pared Down to 10 Tracks, Probably to Fit for Time. The 12 Track Regular CD was what the Label Chose for the Album, and the Deluxe was the Band's Gift to their Fans.
The Moroder tracks were the last ones to be done I believe and in my book they are the bonus tracks. This album was initially going to be an EP but the work began to flow and they went for an album. I recall John Taylor saying about a year back or so it was going to be a 10 track album, which would have been great without the Moroder tracks, though Laughing Boy should not be left out.

My favorite song on the album is Falling but also All of You! And you forgot to mention John Taylor's bass in Falling! It's spectacular! He really outdid himself.
Just like many Duran Duran fans, I too am glad to be able to listen to this album, and just like you said, it is nice to listen to this album, nice to have it, to know that we can listen to it whenever we can. This feeling of accompishment, this sense of completeness, to see that it does not lack anything essential to a good album, and to know that they really have created such a good album, that they have finally made it.. this is such a good feeling, because it sort of gives a feeling of closure, as if the band had always created good albums with flaws. This time they seem to have produced a perfect album which needs and asks for more than a couple of listens. It endures, and stands. Future Past is in my top 3 and it is not number 3.

I so love this album! Favourite songs are Anniversary, Wing, and More Joy, but all the songs are great. My top 5 albums: 1. Rio 2. Notorious 3. Duran Duran (81) 4. All you need is Now 5. Future Past
Hi ya buddy great review and I'm happy that your happy!!!! Bloody brilliant awesome amazing 👍 fantastic album luv it so so so much it's got loads of chord's in it from sum of there last albums I like quite a few lol so keep up the gud work ok enjoy best wishes!!!! Laters
Well I missed the polls, but I'd say the album is maybe #6 or #7 in the catalogue and a solid 3.5/5 stars. DD and fans have a lot to be proud of here, it's a fun listen for the most part. Well done.
My favorites are nothing less and wing. But I love the entire album, except tonight united. And, this is the surprising thing, I agreed with a lot of what you said, which usually I'm at the opposite opinion.
In my order: 1. Wing (on constant rotation) 2.Tonight United (although the chorus was a little bit much for me) 3. Hammerhead 4. Laughing Boy 5. Future Past (is one I had to warm up to but the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me. It brings me to tears) 6. Anniversary (It may not seem like much at all....It may not seem like much but it's everything to us.) 7. Give it all Up 8. Nothing Less
I will be back when I've listened to the whole album a few more times. I like it, but... so far I'm not as sold as some folks here. However, I do love these guys and I really do hope fans are enjoying it as much as they say they are. (Hopefully it's not just a honeymoon period that wears off quickly.) I selfishly want Duran Duran to have enough success that they never stop!!! 😁
Wing and Laughing boy are my two favourite tracks on the album. I love the whole album. Wing reminds me of El Diablo from The Arcadia-album. My faovourite tracks of all time from Duran are Palomino, I believe(all I need to know), Beautiful colours and Vertigo. Long live Duran!
The regular album is the 12 track version. The vinyl misses 2 of the best, for some odd reason, and the deluxe has 15 songs. My favorite is Nothing Less, followed very closely by All Of You. I'm VERY impressed by this album, I did not think they had it in them to do something SO good.
My fav song on album is anniversary ....brill song ....2nd place wing ....3rd place song all of you ..& finally my 4th place song would be laughing boy .....
Since it dropped, I’ve been listening to this on Spotify which includes the two tracks “Hammerhead” and “Nothing Less”. I knew you said there were two additional songs on streaming version but I didn’t realize which ones. I don’t like “Hammerhead” at all. So much that I blocked it off my Spotify list. I’ve never done that with one of their songs. I got my vinyl album Thursday. It’s so cool, it’s clear instead of white. I haven’t had the opportunity to play it yet. When you asked how we would rank the album, I originally said in the middle simply because of “Hammerhead”. Now, that I realize it’s not on the original album, I’d place it at either 4 or 5. DD81, Rio, Notorious, then either Future Past or Big Thing. All You Need Is Now would then follow. From the first moment of hearing “Wing” I immediately thought 007. So I’m with you there. This is a great album. Last I heard it was at #3 but not sure if that was US or UK charts, probably UK. Does anyone know for sure for US? Thanks for another great review.
Hammerhead is my favorite song on the album. It's funny to see all of the things that people like and don't like. It just reinforces how truly subjective and particular musical taste is. :)
I just got home from outta town today and in my mailbox was the deluxe CD edition of Future Past. It’s in front of me now with the plastic wrap still on.... I’m thinking...WOW.. it’s been six years since Paper Gods was released (2015). “time is a runaway freight train that stops for no one!!” .... so far I’ve only heard the Apple Music song list just a few times. I’d like to say.. drop “Tonight United” and “HammerHead” and replace those two awful songs with.. Beautiful Colors, Virus, Salt in the Rainbow and EVERY SONG from ....ALL YOU NEED IS NOW!!!! now that’s a perfect DuranD album!!!
I don't like "Tonight United" at all really. With "All of You" , I love everything but the verses. Damn shame on that one. And "Hammerhead", it's not a must keep. I would add in "Invocation" and "Velvet Newton". I don't think I would include "Laughing Boy" though. Seems like a b-side to me.
@@christianhelwig Drop Tonight United, More Joy. Hammerhead has become a favorite I like the rap but the song works well without it too. I do love All of You and Future Past.
I like the album but I'm not crazy about it. Better than 'Paper Gods' for me. However, it does sit in my bottom 5. My 2004 - 2021 albums are as follows: 1. All You Need Is Now 2. Astronaut 3. Future Past 4. Paper Gods. 5. Red Carpet Massacre I'm really glad they are having a lot of press again. This has to be the most I've seen since the 'Wedding Album' was released. You definitely should do a James Bond Duran Soundtrack. I'll share my album rankings when you redo yours Brian. And I do not include 'Thank You' since it's a cover album. So I'm ranking 14 albums.
I'm still waiting to get my deluxe CD. I havent listened to the bonus songs to have something new to look forward to. I wish Hammerhead didnt have the raping part but aside from that bit I love all the songs.
The album is the 12 track version. Why the vinyl version is 10 is anybody’s guess. The Moroder tracks are average but if the two I prefer Beautiful Lies. Give It All Up I can also take or leave it. The remainder of the Deluxe is where it’s at for me.
The first time I sped through the album, I thought, ok. Then I have been listening constantly going about my life and realise it's amazing. Got totally confused as I listened to the Spotify release which missed a lot of tracks out and left me wanting more. I might be greedy saying this but as I found out the name of the album, I was actually hoping DD may have released another version of the album and done a special "disc" or record of re- worked tracks like they did to the live version of Secret October. Just 5 or 6 new re-imagined tracks in homepage to their past. I would have loved that more than the input of Moroder as I didn't particularly like what he produced with them. A brilliant album though and would Benin my top 5 albums of theirs.
I love this album. I my opinion, Future Past is the 3rd best Duran Duran album to listen to from start to finish behind Astronaut and Seven & The Ragged Tiger
I love all the songs in the album! Except More joy and invisible. My most favorite song in the album is Wing, Falling,Hammerhead, All of you and unite.
Right now, “Nothing Less” and “Wing” are two on constant repeat. I also love “Falling” and “Give it all Up.” My least favorite are probably “Tonight United” and maybe “Future Past.” I actually enjoy “More Joy” and find myself singing along all the time. Solid album all around. Maybe at number 6 for me of all their albums.
I would say that Nothing less is my fav followed by laughing boy wing and falling. Weekest track that being track 2 Just reminds me of Eraser. Apart from that track the album is awsome
@@cherylw.4920 wait... what? Why does a dog have a middle name? Makes no sense! What makes complete sense is the song “Wing” is amazing and the best song on Future Past!!
Wing is a masterpiece. The Moroder tracks are generic and forgettable in my opinion (although I do like John's bass solo in Tonight United). The title track doesn't really do it for me, either. Still waiting for my deluxe edition to arrive, so my final verdict is still up in the air.
As I had hoped, the tracks on the deluxe edition are a total game changer for me. Velvet Newton, Laughing Boy and Invocation are all brilliant. I am glad that they got to work with Moroder, but those tracks feel 'contractually obligated' and I think the album would be more cohesive without them. But, the beauty of bonus tracks is that we can all built our own 'dream' playlist of what we think this album should be and endlessly enjoy it. When I first heard 'Invisible' I had hoped that this album would be heavily inspired by the debut album - and I think with the bonus tracks one can build a 10-12 track version of this record that is just that.
Astronaut and Liberty are my faves of all time. I guess I'm weird. I'd put Pop Trash as a solid number 3 and Medazzaland at number 4. I actually think Thank You and The Wedding Album are their weakest efforts. Without Ordinary World and Come Undone, the Wedding Album is extremely forgettable.
Fun fact: in addition to Duran Duran, other 80s musical acts have also released new music in the past month, including Tears for Fears, Sting and Midnight Oil. The 80s are back!
I've already got the deluxe edition and I can say that this album is good, but still sounding like an AYNIN without guitars )) "Velvet Neutron" is a good into for a possible tour to support this album as well as "Beautiful Lies" is a good to be the second one (the third could be "Planet Earth" :)) ). "Future Past" track sounds like an Arcadia's one. "Nothing Less" reminds me of Spaghetti Western or Tarantino movies :) They do really high qualified music - not like most of today's pop performers that are talented, but reluctant to create an autotuned trash!
not as big on this album as many of you... but I do absolutely love "Wing" and "More Joy!". Wing is definitely the best song on the album and is very 007esque.
I did a video for the Duran Duran song, Wing. I believe it's the best song on Future Past by far and as many people have noted, it sounds very much like a Bond theme... I used clips from the opening credits of every James Bond movie for the video (except "Never Say Never Again" as it's not a traditional Bond credits sequence). Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/ZaOYa4BwCws/v-deo.html
Personally, I have to spend quite a bit of time with an album before I'd think about ranking it. So far this album is very middle of the road, but it is growing on me. Paper Gods I really liked at first, but now I kind of think it's mediocre. I think this album may do the opposite, but I'll have to see. I'm going to spend some time listening to both albums this week.
Even with ABBA's amazing, miraculous return, I found no problem at all for giving "Future Past" as much attention as it demanded. I'm also not too surprised you seem to really love this album, but I'm sure you'll hate 'More Joy!' and maybe even 'Hammerhead'. Also10 tracks? 12 surely. So 'Nothing Less' or 'Hammerhead' aren't on the original album? How weird, I never heard that. I never understand song placement on albums or why it's a problem. It's unique where 'More Joy!' is on the album, and fun and cool this song is. Experimental is their middle-name and they challenge consistently, unlike most groups out there. "Future Past" another album they've done that is awesome. Don't know why there's so much blah blah blah about the "early 80s" evoked again, as many tracks point to much better latter stages. The sequencing thing is weird: who cares? Most people's albums are always sequenced properly, songs don't fall cos of this, they fall cos they're shit, naff or boring or negligible, which we leave to Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and all those others!
More Joy fits because of the Randomized Arpeggiator in the song, it harkens back to hungry like the wolf with that arp! To say its not a fit is very inaccurate of you to say!
There are a few I am having a hard time listening to. Wing, Falling, and Beautiful lies. Hammerhead was one of them to along with Future Past but now those two have become favorites. I do like the rap in Hammerhead and I do like the edit without the rap as well. Future Past makes me tear up beautiful song.
Yeah. "Hammerhead" is an odd one for me. I don't mind the rap at all. However, once I heard the edited (no rap) version, it flows much better for me. I know the rap is the bridge, but, maybe it's placement? I dunno. *shrugs* ua-cam.com/video/hTNa6Dkwa20/v-deo.html
America is NOT the only nation to like rock, anyway I wouldn't call it that simple. Duran have always had a rock sound, and an album like "Liberty" is a stadium rocker. Plenty of UK acts are rock-infused, not dumb poppy/disco or soul nonsense, and the US couldn't handle that. It's a weird comment, but Duran broke America cos at that time the US was briefly open to something different. Anyway we all know it was MTV that broke them via the videos as visually-obsessed States can only be broke this way!
Yeah it's Graham Coxon. I was never a Warren fan but listen to how much better Electric Barbarella sounds with his guitar. Amazing. Andy couldn't get it right after he rejoined.
Like a slow sucking leach, this album is slowly growing on me. But it’s so frustrating! Let’s start with the first thing you see, the Artwork. To me this is DD’s worst album art by far (not counting ‘Thank You’ which is not an original album anyway). And the photos in the booklet are not just bad, they are inexcusable. I just do not get Nike’s idea of good art and why the band agrees with it. It’s like he is trying to make them look ugly to destroy their image of being too good looking. As for the music, there are only 9 songs I really like, and this is the order I play them in: 1. Velvet Newton 2. Beautiful Lies 3. All Of You 4. Nothing Less 5. Laughing Boy 6. Hammerhead 7. Give It All Up 8. Invisible 9. Invocation I can handle ‘Tonight United’ and ‘More Joy’, when played together, as they sound alike, but to me they do not fit with the rest of the album. It starts with the short song and end with the shortest song. You will know in seconds why the album starts that way because they actually tell you why. To me this is the best fit for the two short pieces. As Velvet makes for a good intro, and Invocation makes for a fine ending. If that order seems odd, it won’t sound that way when you listen to it, because the songs blend so well. They just flow together, especially the slide from Hammerhead to Give and from Give to Invisible. Still maybe bottom 5 DD for me. The bulk of the songs are better than say, ‘Liberty’. But there are no songs on it as great as ‘Violence Of Summer’, ‘First Impression’ or ‘Serious’.
It’s a mixed bag. I’m happy everyone’s loving it and wish so much I was in that camp but sadly not. Upon multiple listens I can safely say i prefer Paper Gods and All You Need is Now. The Good… INVISIBLE ALL OF YOU GIVE IT ALL UP WING LAUGHING BOY MORE JOY! The Ok… ANNIVERSARY BEAUTIFUL LIES FALLING Not good… FUTURE PAST TONIGHT UNITED NOTHING LESS HAMMERHEAD A few things. WING though great doesn’t sound like a Bond song to me at all and I’m a massive fan of both Bond movies and the music / Scores. It sounds very similar to Mediterranea in my opinion and knew you would love it Brian having said how much you loved Mediterranea. HAMMERHEAD is completed ruined by that terrible Rap. FUTURE PAST is just so cheesy and over the top 80’s throwback. ANNIVERSARY is just too long and mostly the same chorus going on and on. TONIGHT UNITED is flat dull and lacking in anything interesting to say. LAUGHING BOY should of made the main album the songs great but Duran made the same mistake on the last album leaving off great songs. Everyone hates on Paper Gods too easily but for me I’d pick that to listen to over this any day.
Same here James. Seems we are kinda similar on this one (CD Standard Edition): THE GOOD: Invisible Give it All Up Anniversary Wing Nothing Less More Joy Falling THE OK: Future Past Beautiful Lies Hammerhead THE BAD: All of You Tonight United I'm gonna create a version including deluxe tracks
This album has grown on me after a few listens. Initially I was really disappointed but there are still a few standout songs that have kept my faith. The negatives Too electronic dance orientated, synth drums and nowhere near enough guitars. The recording on Simon’s vocals, especially on the chorus of songs is so harsh and sounds terrible. I can’t listen to Anniversary because of that as an example. I think the album was mixed for radio to stand out. Just don’t play it on good headphones as it will crush your ears. Tonight United and Beautiful Lies are just awful. Equally on a par with Last Night in the City. Just terrible terrible tracks. How can they output stuff like this when they’ve won Ivor Novello awards for song writing (Ordinary World). Why the rap on Hammerhead, just to trying to be relevant?? Spoils the track. The positives Some of the best lyrics written by them for some time. Wing and Falling are proof that they can still write some outstanding songs. It was like a breath of fresh air listening to Wing where the guitar actually leads the song and is the dominant instrument (thank you Mark Ronson). Some of the tracks would be so much better with guitars on them not just the odd fill here and there. JT’s bass playing is fantastic as always. The album I would love to hear is Reportage
Is it just me? The opening of Future Past is so Christmasy, I keep expecting Josh Groban to start singing 😂. I really like FB, Wing, obsessed! I really like Hammerhead and Nothing Less. Beautiful Lies is my least favorite. Thanks for the review. I have no musical background and enjoy your opinion.

The Band said He Fit in Perfectly, and actually shares Writing Credits on Most Tracks. They let Him Do His Thing. Unfortunately the Relationship with Andy became "Unworkable" on All You Need is Now. However Nick did say in the Interview with Rolling Stone recently that they do believe that Andy's Rock Guitar is what helped them achieve Success in America.
@@teddybearjedi8865 correction .. the “unworkable gulf” between DD and AndyT was the recording sessions around Reportage finishing up and the record label wanting DD to work w Timberlake/Timbaland for a lead single which in turn led to Red Carpet Massacre . Not the almighty AYNIN album. Thanks... loved your monster post/ comment earlier. Read it multiple times!! You rock
More i listen future past more i love it and wing is my fav too, pure dd sound,a masterpieace for me..i enjoy this album
My favorite song on the album is Falling but also All of You! And you forgot to mention John Taylor's bass in Falling! It's spectacular! He really outdid himself.
My bad….
Wing is by far the best song on the album, reminds me a lot of Mediterranea
Agree with you that Wing has a hint of Mediterranea in it. The song structure and verse also reminds me Pop Trash Movie.
There are songs like laughing boy and invocation that i don't see close to John and Roger's ways of understanding music and maybe they have slipped into the bonus track section. It's just my assumptions of course, but I have my reasons for thinking them. It's amazing to me to think that there can be people who really like durans and they don't like songs like "laughing boy". It's incredible! It's like you like pizza but you don't like tomato!! It's as if they don't like the Duran but just a shadow of them.
I love your review about future past by Duran Duran they're my favorite band on planet Earth I think Duran Duran nailed it with this album it's fantastic it's probably my favorite Duran Duran album up to date and I agree with you about the sun more joy I like it but sometimes I skip over it it's not my favorite but anyways thank you so much and everything you said that's what I was thinking great review and Duran Duran I just saw amazing they're fantastic.
I so love this album! Favourite songs are Anniversary, Wing, and More Joy, but all the songs are great. My top 5 albums:
1. Rio
2. Notorious
3. Duran Duran (81)
4. All you need is Now
5. Future Past
Glad to see AYNIN in your Top 5.
My Top 5 are:
1. All You Need is Now
2. Medazzaland
3. Duran Duran (81)
4. Duran Duran (93)
5. Rio
Perfect ranking!
Tonight United sounds like a cheap pop track. Maybe hoping it would get radio airplay.
In my order:
1. Wing (on constant rotation)
2.Tonight United (although the chorus was a little bit much for me)
3. Hammerhead
4. Laughing Boy
5. Future Past (is one I had to warm up to but the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me. It brings me to tears)
6. Anniversary (It may not seem like much at all....It may not seem like much but it's everything to us.)
7. Give it all Up
Great review for a perfect album
Wing and Laughing boy are my two favourite tracks on the album. I love the whole album. Wing reminds me of El Diablo from The Arcadia-album. My faovourite tracks of all time from Duran are Palomino, I believe(all I need to know), Beautiful colours and Vertigo. Long live Duran!
Laughing boy? I have Apple Music and that song isn’t on the list. Where can I find that track?
@@christopherwaters608 You can find it on the albums deluxe edition. I bought the cd which include 3 more songs.
The regular album is the 12 track version. The vinyl misses 2 of the best, for some odd reason, and the deluxe has 15 songs. My favorite is Nothing Less, followed very closely by All Of You. I'm VERY impressed by this album, I did not think they had it in them to do something SO good.
Don't know why you would have limited thinking that DD could not make an album "SO" good when they've churned many fantastic albums.
My fav song on album is anniversary ....brill song ....2nd place wing ....3rd place song all of you ..& finally my 4th place song would be laughing boy .....
My top 5 Duran Duran albums are Notorious, Big thing, Liberty, Wedding Album
And Future Past.
The album reached number 3 in the UK.
Hammerhead is my favorite song on the album. It's funny to see all of the things that people like and don't like. It just reinforces how truly subjective and particular musical taste is. :)
@@jaycecorza1600 yes, I totally agree.
I just got home from outta town today and in my mailbox was the deluxe CD edition of Future Past. It’s in front of me now with the plastic wrap still on.... I’m thinking...WOW.. it’s been six years since Paper Gods was released (2015).
“time is a runaway freight train that stops for no one!!”
.... so far I’ve only heard the Apple Music song list just a few times.
Great review
BEST DURAN DURAN ALBUM EVER!
I knew that you're favourite song of the album was Wing, because is pretty similar to Mediterranea that is probably one of your favourite on AYNIN :)
I like the album but I'm not crazy about it. Better than 'Paper Gods' for me. However, it does sit in my bottom 5. My 2004 - 2021 albums are as follows:
1. All You Need Is Now
2. Astronaut
3. Future Past
4. Paper Gods.
5. Red Carpet Massacre
I'm really glad they are having a lot of press again. This has to be the most I've seen since the 'Wedding Album' was released.
You definitely should do a James Bond Duran Soundtrack.
I'll share my album rankings when you redo yours Brian. And I do not include 'Thank You' since it's a cover album. So I'm ranking 14 albums.
Christian... read my comment above on this album and tell me what you think!
I would say Falling is my favorite and More Joy! my least. I would probably rank it 5 or 6 in my favorite album list.
I really enjoy Duran Duran because every album sounds completely different. Look at the last three album totally different.
I love all the songs in the album! Except More joy and invisible. My most favorite song in the album is Wing, Falling,Hammerhead, All of you and unite.
I do love Invisible but feel it has been around for so long now I tire of it.
And Future Past
Right now, “Nothing Less” and “Wing” are two on constant repeat. I also love “Falling” and “Give it all Up.” My least favorite are probably “Tonight United” and maybe “Future Past.” I actually enjoy “More Joy” and find myself singing along all the time. Solid album all around. Maybe at number 6 for me of all their albums.
I would say that Nothing less is my fav followed by laughing boy wing and falling.
Weekest track that being track 2 Just reminds me of Eraser.
Apart from that track the album is awsome
Listen and see if you agree with me or not on anniversary I feel like the beginning to me sounds like Nick is channeling Gary filter rock n roll song
I think that “we need you” the b-side to skin trade has a sort of James Bond feel to it. Maybe that’s just me though.
My favorite one's 'Nothing Less', with 'Hammerhead' being not too far.
Hi Millie!! 😂 If I had a cat, I'd name him Andy. For Andy Taylor. LOL! Like how I slipped in that Andy Taylor reference?
Tracy that’s hilarious man!! Love AndyT !!
Looking forward to the release of Reportage one day!!!
@@mattmurdock7444 same here! I'll buy Reportage immediately when it gets a release!
Ha! My dog’s middle name is Taylor, for my favorite 🔥 hot guitarist
@@cherylw.4920 wait... what? Why does a dog have a middle name? Makes no sense! What makes complete sense is the song “Wing” is amazing and the best song on Future Past!!
It unironically felt like forever waiting for FP.
Future Past is brilliant. You need to dive deep into to feel is beauty. Takes some time but it's there
Astronaut and Liberty are my faves of all time.
I've already got the deluxe edition and I can say that this album is good, but still sounding like an AYNIN without guitars ))
"Velvet Neutron" is a good into for a possible tour to support this album as well as "Beautiful Lies" is a good to be the second one (the third could be "Planet Earth" :)) ). "Future Past" track sounds like an Arcadia's one. "Nothing Less" reminds me of Spaghetti Western or Tarantino movies :)
They do really high qualified music - not like most of today's pop performers that are talented, but reluctant to create an autotuned trash!
You mean Velvet Newton
@@eamonconnelly8029 yeah, thnx🙏
@@АндрійОвчаренко-я2ц Velvet Neutron would have been a nice title, too.
Great album! But they should have started it with Velvet Newton. Perfect intro
not as big on this album as many of you... but I do absolutely love "Wing" and "More Joy!".
Check it out:

Wing is the "bomb"
anniversary best song
Most people's albums are always sequenced properly, songs don't fall cos of this, they fall cos they're shit, naff or boring or negligible, which we leave to Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and all those others!
there are 2 songs missing from the review ,nothing less and hammerhead
Hammerhead is one of my favorites on there!
Those songs aren’t on my record. I’ll cover those next.
I dunno. *shrugs*

Put the Houston Astros hat on tape Atlanta Braves hat off
NEVAHHHHHHHHHHH! With that said, watch for my next video. I think you’ll like it!
You are into Duran Duran and like cats. We'd so be friends ! 😁
Absolutely!
Ok, I am prepared for the hate, I love Dom Brown on Guitar. He sounds awesome.
For your info he actually did not play guitars in the album future past. It was graham coxon of the Blur who played most of the guitar parts on it.
As for the music, there are only 9 songs I really like, and this is the order I play them in:
1. Velvet Newton
2. Beautiful Lies
3. All Of You
4. Nothing Less
5. Laughing Boy
6. Hammerhead
7. Give It All Up
8. Invisible
9. Invocation
I can handle ‘Tonight United’ and ‘More Joy’, when played together, as they sound alike, but to me they do not fit with the rest of the album.
The Good…
INVISIBLE
ALL OF YOU
GIVE IT ALL UP
WING
LAUGHING BOY
MORE JOY!
The Ok…
ANNIVERSARY
BEAUTIFUL LIES
FALLING
Not good…
FUTURE PAST
TONIGHT UNITED
NOTHING LESS
HAMMERHEAD
A few things.
Seems we are kinda similar on this one (CD Standard Edition):
THE GOOD:
Invisible
Give it All Up
Anniversary
Wing
Nothing Less
More Joy
Falling
THE OK:
Future Past
Beautiful Lies
Hammerhead
THE BAD:
All of You
Tonight United
I'm gonna create a version including deluxe tracks
This album has grown on me after a few listens. Initially I was really disappointed but there are still a few standout songs that have kept my faith.
The negatives
Too electronic dance orientated, synth drums and nowhere near enough guitars.
The positives
Some of the best lyrics written by them for some time.
