The Perfect Ribeye Steak | Grand Recipe
Ingredients:
Ribeye steak
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Butter - 30g
Garlic cloves - 3
Thyme - a bunch
Process:
Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
Crush the garlic cloves.
Place a pan on high heat and add in 2 tbsp olive oil.
When the pan is hot and the oil starts shimmering, lay in the steak.
Sear for 2 minutes.
Then flip.
After 30 seconds, put in the butter, garlic cloves and thyme.
Sear for another 2 minutes while basting the steak in butter.
Then it is ready. This is a rare steak.
Let is rest for 10 minutes so it becomes more succulent.
Rare - Internal temp = 125ºF/52ºC, Time = 2 mins per side
Medium Rare - Internal temp = 135ºF/57ºC, Time = 3 mins per side
Medium - Internal temp = 145ºF/63ºC, Time = 4 mins per side
Medium Well - Internal temp = 155ºF/68ºC, Time = 5 mins per side
Well Done - Internal temp = 165ºF/74ºC, Time = 6 mins per side

      2 cups of sesame seeds would work better according to the results some have been getting. So try with 2 cups to be on the safe side and the inside should be nice.

    Do you ever cook the chicken with onions? I tend to remember my grandmother processing hers with onions.

      Hi, Some do use onions as well. When the chicken fat starts rendering and turning gold, then onions are added and it is cooked for another 45-60 mins until the onions and fat turn brown and crispy. Adding onions flavors the schmaltz. We personally render the fat without onion for a cleaner, purer fat with no onion essence.

      You can brush some butter/oil on them, and they should stay soft.

    I agree it is not pure buckwheat flour.. The color is different texture is different and it is difficult to roll buckwheat flour by dusting it only once in flour

      We purchase organic hulled buckwheat flour. The dark fllour that others use is unhulled.

    This wheat seems to be normal flour not Buckwheat which is black in colour. In India we call it kuttu.

      This is the color of Buckwheat flour what we get. There seem to be different colours. But yes in India it is darker.

      It should work fine on electric ovens as well, just may not have the same texture as flame. But heat alone should cook it fine also.

      Hi, This can be served with a variety of dishes, from vegetable to meat curries, etc. Anything you would serve with the usual wheat flatbreads, you can also do with Buckwheat 😀

      Hi, Almond flour, brown rice flour, coconut flour, oat flour, etc are the usual gluten free alternatives given for all-purpose flour. But usually you would need a blend of gluten free flours to get similar results as with all-purpose flour. There are some recommended gluten free flour blends for baking, such as King Arthur Measure for Measure Flour, Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free 1-to-1 Baking, Cup4Cup Gluten Free Flour Multipurpose. These are a 1:1 replacement for all-purpose flour. You could give them a try.

      Sorry to hear that. It can take a few tries to get it right. Can roll it out thin and try not to overheat it so it becomes hard.

Aquí está la receta en español también: Ingredientes: 500 g (1,10 lb) de sémola de trigo sarraceno sin cáscara 750ml de agua 1 cucharadita de sal 1 cucharadita de jarabe de arce 30 g de semillas de sésamo y/o cualquier otra semilla/hierba de tu elección (opcional) Proceso: Ponga 500 g de sémola de trigo sarraceno descascarado en un bol. Vierta 600 ml de agua y revuelva. Cubrir y dejar reposar durante 12-24 horas. Al día siguiente, agregue 1 cucharadita de sal, 1 cucharadita de jarabe de arce y 150 ml de agua. Póngalo en una licuadora y mezcle hasta obtener una masa suave y uniforme. Transfiera nuevamente al tazón. Tapar y dejar reposar durante 24 horas. Fermentará. Al día siguiente, agregue 30 g de semillas de sésamo y/u otras semillas/hierbas de su elección y mezcle (opcional). Vierta la masa en un molde para hornear preparado. Espolvorea algunas semillas por encima. Hornea en horno precalentado a 218ºC (425ºF) durante 45-60 minutos o hasta que estén dorados y bien cocidos.
