  • Learn to make these delicious sweet and crunchy sesame seed balls to snack on.
    Ingredients:
    Sesame seeds - 100g
    Jaggery - 100g
    Water - 100ml
    Process:
    Place a pan on low heat.
    Add the sesame seeds and roast until they start to release their aroma and begin popping. Stir frequently. This takes a few minutes. Then transfer the seeds to a bowl and leave aside for now.
    Now add the jaggery into the pan.
    Add the water.
    Melt the jaggery on low heat.
    When melted and it starts foaming, test the stickiness. Put some on your fingertips and pinch together and if you see two or three strands, then it is ready. Turn off the heat.
    Then add in the roasted sesame seeds and mix.
    Wait for the mixture to cool down so it is not too hot to handle.
    Rub some cold water on your palms.
    Then grab some sesame seeds while still warm but not too hot to handle, and press together and shape into a ball and place on a dish. Do this with the rest of the sesame seeds.
    The balls will harden as they cool.
